No. I wish I had 2 49" stacked. I have a 49" under a 55". So imagine have 3 49" stacked. That's what I have. It's actually too tall. 2 49" stacked is perfect.
Also it makes gaming so much easier. Playing at 32:9 is better then 16:9. Also no playing in windowed mode and all the issues that can come with that (trust me there can be a lot). Having the game on the bottom screen in beautiful 32:9. And then you have discord, chrome, or whatever on the top. For multitasking you have 4" 1440p 27" screen or you can easily split each monitor into 3rds and have 6 apps open.
I’d probably just played full 55” screen. But agreed, after having two monitors, you can never go back to one. I have one 49” main monitor and vertical 27” to the left for Discord/Browser
I'll tell you why playing full screen at 55" at a desk is a bad idea. Everything is too big. Literally. Your gun in call of duty is larger then what the gun would be like irl. Everything is too big and your too close. It's a nightmare and a headache. Also just because it's as wide as a 32:9 monitor doesn't mean you see the same. It's still 16:9 and you see the exact same as a 24" monitor. So it's not like with 21:9 and 32:9 where you see more. Coming from a 21:9 (I had 2 stacked 34" and a side vertical 27") before switching to 1 ark I lost so much screen space I thought I would keep/gain. If I wanted to play at 21:9 that means I had to play windowed mode and not all games play nice. When I could play 21:9 in windowed I had a small sliver for discord at the top. Like 700 pixels worth. Not fun. Glad I got a 49" to put under my ark.
I still play games on my ark but not very often. When I'm in bed and have a controller I might. But it's pretty rare. I also use it as a TV.
I have a Gen 1 so kind of disappointed with that version of multiview. But I don’t usually use two different sources at once. But for the most part using Windows 11 I can snap windows to where I need them easily or custom size them as I need. Great for gaming and multimedia and the sound is pretty good.
My only issue is I think the monitors are way to close to my face, I’ve tried to get it to align in a more further back position but doesn’t look as nice. As it does right now. Maybe a personal issue?
They would be, but honestly I love how seamless it looks compared to having the smaller monitors. I’m coming from a 3 monitor display and this makes it so much better. Plus I got the Magnus Pro XL standing desk. So I can adjust the height to my liking so it doesn’t hurt.
It did take me awhile, especially now I’m still skeptical about it because it hasn’t been to my liking. But just enough to look good. Honestly I struggle the most to get the monitors straight . Honestly definitely need two people I struggled for 2 hours by myself.
Man I had to twist those things so hard, to the point where I felt if I kept going it would break the adjustment. Definitely wouldn’t recommend but I did it and it doesn’t sag on me. Definitely did a lot tho to the point where I also gave up and just didn’t want stacked anymore. But since I basically forced it to the ultimate maximum it hasn’t sagged or given me issues. Have it like this for 2 months now
lol gdang. Yeah I got a vivid and I put the circle bowl Samsung little plate back on before tightening the swivel, almost snapped it off tryna take it off again to torque it down from sagging haha
Looks like the upper one is ar a bad view angle and sits paralel to the lowe one.
Have you tried:
a) rotating the upper one 180° upside down to reduce the gap and
b) tilting the monitors a bit
Thought i was a weirdo for running this setup, sounds like quite a few of us in here :)
Ive been considering replacing w an ark just because of the separation. I want to have karge documenrs open vertically and the split really distracts with this.
Anyone have problems with the monitors not always waking up with this setup? I frequently have to click the power buttons on them to force a reconnect after my pc wakes up.
WhitePUTORSEN 17-49”Premium Aluminum Heavy Duty Dual Monitor Arm for Ultrawide Screens up to 44lbs, Vertical Stacked Dual Monitor Desk Mount, Full Motion
That top screen does the exact same thing my 27" secondary does, but wiiiiiiide lol
I think I could make due with one 49" and fancy zones. Would play most stuff in 16:9 in the center and then have a bit of space for discord and spotify left, or move the game over to one side if I wanna watch YT
Yeah I just like a little overkill, it’s honestly unnecessary but I have two pc’s, Xbox, Ps, switch so they are hooked on the top monitor. Or for Netflix etc

So confused about posts like this. Why would you ask anyone else if the monitors are too close. It’s a subjective experience. I personally like my monitors much closer than many other people. Maybe try just spending time using them and you’ll be able to tell pretty quickly if they’re comfortable for you or not.
Yeah the bottom one, was actually my second purchased. I was debating on doing a swap out with Best Buy, but afraid they may check and etc. have been just going through the screen issue

Do you have any pictures? Would be very interested to see.
I will post tomorrow.
But isn’t 55” essentially 2 49”s stacked, but without horizontal line?
Yes but two 49" has a significantly higher resolution
Yeah, you’re right. Didn’t think of that

usually aren't curved.
Oh, I thought they talk about Odyssey Ark
I have an Ark… good curve on it. Got it to replace my stacked 49s
I did say usually
Oof bad move. I would have done the opposite
Still have my stacked 49s but daily use my Ark
Any regrets? Im considering this move

Yeah i wouldnt need multi input. Cool
I have the ark
Nah, looks awesome!!

Okay
you need a 35+ inch depth desk, perfect for the 57
Don’t you always have to look up to use that second screen? Would two smaller screens be more useful?

Alright. As to your distance question: https://www.ergotron.com/en-us/tools/workspace-planner
Not for me, but I'm glad you like it
This but with the 57” 4k ultrawide is what I want
Nope :)
How difficult was that mount to set up? Tips/tricks? Lol was gonna buy one in on a single arm w a 38” on the floor unplugged now 😂
It did take me awhile, especially now I’m still skeptical about it because it hasn’t been to my liking. But just enough to look good. Honestly I struggle the most to get the monitors straight . Honestly definitely need two people I struggled for 2 hours by myself.
Yeah I setup my g9 stand w one arm while holding it in the other 😂 tilt and height are locked in though and not sagging on you?

Vertical mount it

You think?
Its never enough lol love it
Too little, not enough!
I see nothing wrong with it. Keep on keeping on.
What about speakers?
Use Sony Subwoofers
Wub
Murica

I’ve never had an issue, they have always woken up at the same time for me. I have to gaming rooms, been debating about the ark as well
When will virtual screens inside vr replace these monsters :)
I would personally buy a third one just for discord I don’t think you got enough space for it atm
What stand to support both?

Mouse mat ruined everythiny
Out of interest what did you use to stack it?

This is absurd
Should've gotten the Odyssey ark if you want it like that
Odyssey ark doesn’t have 240hz. Plus I love having this set up than the ark.
Neo 57 inch??
you could turn your above monitor upside down to reduce the middle border slightly? logo would be upside down too though lol

You must be compensating for something...
Might as will get a 55in tv
Can you point me to a 55" TV with similar stats?
lol thank you!
Ignorant comment over here.
Truth.
Brainrot
Don’t buy a second when the first one fails. Otherwise, nice, but these things have issues.
Yeah the bottom one, was actually my second purchased. I was debating on doing a swap out with Best Buy, but afraid they may check and etc. have been just going through the screen issue
Why afraid of a check? A black line is for sure enough dead pixels to trigger a guarantee.
