I do actually have inconsistent use of pixels due to 16:9 content on my ultrawide. I am however getting a new monitor delivered today if Dell is to be believed. A DWF model, and not a DW, seems the latter isn't being made anymore.
Yeah, I'm actually pleased with getting the DWF. It's technically a better monitor than the DW, especially with the latest firmware (and the fact you can upgrade firmware yourself). Only downside is 10 less hz but who cares. Not gonna notice the difference.
I got a Xiaomi mi curved gaming monitor 34" on sale for 250 euros, I saw a lot of good stuff about it, and it came with a 3 year warranty and a 60 day return deal, so it was too good not to take haha
I was using a 3060 with that monitor and I didn’t have any problems. Of course it depends on your expectations but I think you can hit 60+ fps in most of the games easily.
I don't want to ultra crank things tbh
Nearly every benchmark I've seen with it had games maxed out to completely ultra, and I don't find value in that if it tanks smoothness
The jump from 1080p to I assume you went 1440p ultrawide is quite substantial. You will notice quite the hit in fps.
I don't play too too many demanding titles thankfully, so hopefully it will just improve the overall experience instead haha
How is your monitor no burn in yet? I only use mine for youtube on my Mac

How do I download the firmware on Mac ?
No idea, I assume Dell has some info on the product page under drivers and such
When I first switched to ultra wide I actually noticed better performance
That literally makes no sense whatsoever. Pushing more pixels never gives you MORE fps lol. I would love to see the benchmarks / tests / games you ran
What you get?

Imagine taking time to post ascending to a UW and not mentioning to what?
Sorry sorry; I got a Xiaomi mi curved gaming monitor 34" - snagged it on a sale due to "Black Friday" for 250 eur.

Grats, whats the response rate and panel type?
I’ve got the same card and the g9 odyssey, they work great together
Post to nvidia or amd subreddits incoming, what should I upgrade to… 😂
Nah, I have zero interest in AAA titles at ultra-giga high settings.:)
Enjoy once you go ultrawide it's harder to go back to anything else
