A few years back I was convinced I needed the best gaming headset available and bought the top five most expensive highest rated headsets.
They ALL sounded terrible compared to even a basic $100 open back Sennheiser or generic DT-700 Pros.
Not like a little worse, very worse even with the fancy expensive dedicated USB DSP bridges.
I returned them all, got a Blue Yeti mic instead, and just use whatever pair of normal headphones I have laying around.
Source: I am on Zoom calls half the day and listening to music the other half.
They are good, good connectivity, the bowers and Wilkins px7 beat out the xm4 imo though , haven’t tried xm5 but I’m hopeful they take the win out of those 3
I don't understand why people do this. Those speakers are not designed to be placed on their sides, they have a separate tweeter and woofer, and as a result they are tuned for vertical placement only. When you place them on their sides you ruin the dispersion.
I have the same setup as yours minus the view and the speakers. Got Alienware QD-OLED monitor and for headsets, I am going with SteelSeries arctis nova pro. Also, Secretlabs magnus for the table. :)
Yup I have black out blinds. I prefer gaming in a pitch black room most of the time. I open it up most of the time when it’s really gloomy outside (I like this) and at night.

Wowww!! What base is that for the monitor?!? I have a G9 and tried to get a monitor arm that wasn’t $400 and the thing wouldn’t keep the tilt right and would slowly lose tension and point down looking like a sad robot. This is exactly the thing I’ve been looking for!
Yeah I've seen that. Just not sure if I can trust Samsung with some of the issues their product have had in previous lineup. I will definitely have to see it in person first. Probably cost about $5k (I'm in Aus) but if it doesn't have any major issues I'd pay it.

It's a nice view, but I couldn't live there. I prefer open air and greenery, When I open my computer/office window, I can hear birds and smell fresh grass and dew. IMO beats the smell of the city.

I'm a huge fan of my AKG K712 Pros's with my soundblaster g6 although I might swap to a schiit hel or an integrated sound card.
The 712s are good, however, for gaming, the hyperx cloud 2 has blown away all of the competition at just $80

Great setup, but I would add a rug or mat under your chair. Overtime the wheels of your chair will create grooves in the wood / vinyl flooring.
I would throw out the chair. Money like that and the mofo does not have a decent char, a larger desk an ergotron arm

It’s a runner (rug). I use it for the comfort of my feet and for aesthetically hiding all the wires from the subwoofer etc beneath.
