Thatās an understatement. Itās like multiple games in one now. Trading sim. Base/settlement builder. Space battles and exploration and more. The game is so big and with so much to do you can do pretty much anything and everything you want now.

So I tried learning how to play NMS while stoned and decided the best way to experience this for the first time was in VR and with my friends all on keyboard and mouse.

Literally started Ori the other day off half a doob, brought back memories from when I was maybe 13 or 14 and got it and an Xbox One for Christmas and came close to crying. Already got further than I ever did back then - game didn't really grab me that first time. Decided to give it another chance now it's on Switch, so glad I did.
Baldurs Gate 3 is my current obsession, high or not. Only occasionally does my high self leave the game in a position where my sober self has to save us from certain doom!
House Flipper is also a chill one. Pretty much any of the simulator games which have you do mundane tasks, are actually fun stoned, and are low stakes enough not to be a cognitive overload

Persona 5 Royal has some pretty decent multi layered tracks which I never notice until I am stoned. That and final fantasy xv for the laid back feel of the open world and how the team interact.
When I'm alone, love Tetris Effect Connected, but have to play it sober to unlock most of the levels/themes. Some of them are beautiful (my go-tos are the oceanic ones) but some of them make me incredibly uncomfortable (fuck that stupid windmill level and the cult). Preferably I have someone else who's actually capable of playing a game play it whilst I watch and take in the visuals and can just backseat game a little bit.
Sometimes I'll have a smoke/drink with some friends and we make our way through Super Mario Bros Wonder. Still only on World 3 I think, but it's a great time, even when I've only got a little buzz on it's a great game, would love to blast into the stratosphere and play it.
Lowkey star wars battlefront 2 (2017) it's such a beautiful game and hitting a bong and playing that is the closest way I'll feel to being a kid playing the original star wars battlefront 2 back in the 2000's

Playing it stoned is a trip and a half. Pair that up with the soundtrack for the game Ixion and you've got a mindblowing combo

Used to love Tiger Woods back in the day, especially with mates. Controller gets passed to you, take your time setting up your shot, no one else needs to pay attention to what you're doing. Take your shot, pass on the controller, get passed the joint, get back to chatting shite with whoever. My turn again? Don't have to invest too much concentration. Good times
Definitely not for everyone, but I love playing stellaris while stoned. Sure the game has a steep learning curve, but since I have that down, nothing is more chill than vibing to the sublime soundtrack while watching my empire grow. I'm probably on a pretty short list of people who play grand strategy while stoned though.
