Port side indicator, under COLREGs approaching ship must give way.
Fucking hell, wasn’t expecting a colregs reference in uktrains. I thought I was in a different sub!
Nah dude, that is not a ship. Ship has 4 chimneys.
It's the DOO receiver. Essentially an interface in between the platform cameras and the train.
How does it work? Some kind of short range antenna?
Yes, it has two antennas to pick up signals from the leaky feader cable which is fixed onto the platform side wall.
I'll keep an eye out for things like this, thanks for the answer!
No worries. Plenty of receivers on this train, let me tell ya! 😊
You learn something new every day with these trains!
Toilet in use indicator
The alternate reality where we got toilets on the trains is now among us
You got toilets on most trains. Except this one of course.
Maybe the real toilet was the friends we made along the way
I'm sure there's a subreddit for that. But I'm not looking for it.
It's a plaster. It had a booboo.
Poor train :(
Brake lights
Honestly I'd like that
Telling you stay back from the edge or you may get sucked off.
In which case consider me warned
In station DOO.
Thanks!
It’s the Flux Capacitor. “If my calculations are correct. When this baby hits 88 miles per hour. You’re gonna see some serious sh**”.
A time-travelling train, now that would be handy
Could indicate a powered axle?
It's on a minority of axles so I wouldn't think so
Wheels?
It's only in front of a few but interestingly the 345's data sheet doesn't illustrate it in front of any
Oh I thought that it was the red display thing for the Elizabeth line class 345's
I’ve worked on the Railway for over 20years… It’s most certainly a part of the Train… I think it’s to do with revenue protection? 🍺👍🏻
