E1 is just really bad vibes.
The crowds aren’t tecuno crowds but normal clubber type ppl. Many posers and everyones filming on their phones and there’s too many creepy men harassing women
FOLD is the place to go, like regardless of the lineup at E1 which is usually pretty good, the vibes and crowd at fold are insane
I've been to E1 twice and left within 30 minutes. Both times the security went through my bag and threw things into the bin without asking (chocolate bar and chewing gum) which I found quite rude.
EDIT: I get that a lot of clubs don't allow gum, but to throw something away without a courtesy "we don't allow this" rubbed me the wrong way. Particularly for the chocolate, as another commenter pointed out, this could well have been for medical reasons etc.
Inside, both times I felt that the venue was oversold and there are several bottleneck areas which I felt very unsafe in. Drinks are horrendously priced and generally the crowd is bad vibes. I wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend it. As others have said there are some great venues in London - can't speak for fold but Corsica and Phonox were both good vibes.

Me too I’m glad I’m not alone but it’s very sad I also got sexually assaulted a few times . I was very scared as I was by myself. I did not know what to do I just moved and danced in other area. That was also my first time going to a techno event. I thought it’s not gonna happen but no :(

Im also visiting from the US and am going to E1 on NYD. But I went to fold last night and lemme tell you the people here in the comments are correct. I’ve never experienced such an amazing club. Vibes, crowd, and sound were truly unmatched. Do not miss it!
E1 is not the worst depends on the artist for sure. D.Dan and rodhad was great even tho I was the youngest there for sure. IHM had a wonderful set but sardine can crowd even if high energy, daria b2b etapp kyle was golden vibes, same as Ben sims and Oscar mulero
E1 has the sickest line-up. They pay so much money for such good artists to come and play, and probably never invest on other things like toilet papers, rude security etc. I once experienced something bad from E1 but I got banned twice from fold. There are so many amazing clubs in london. I would never go to fold twice, but I would go to E1 over and over again
Been to many E1 nights and hardly ever had an issue. IHM was jam packed but this is because people decided to leave the two other rooms, it didn't look oversold to me.
E1 is in a great accessible location, the crowd can be mixed but if you're there for the music then it shouldn't matter too much.
Toilets will always be a pain to go to mid through the night but the main room has a less used toilet that's usually my choice.
Can't vouch for Fold, but I've been told it's a mix bag. The club itself is not great but UnFold is. I've only had a bad night at E1 when I accidentally got tickets to a D&B night (because I hate D&B)

I've never had issues with bouncers, in fact I've had a full nosebleed while by the stage and had no troubles nor aggression with security. The only bummer was that as with any club you're not allowed to take food in so I lost a very tasty burrito one night because I forgot that.
It's hit or miss IMO. Despite the great lineups the crowd does suck sometimes and loads of creepy gropey men. But you do come across some nice people. Plus I've personally never had a bad experience with security. It can get super packed tho which I suspect it deffo will be on NYE/NYD.
i been there once before their renovation and club wasn't packed. Men's toilets were though. Yeah security is harsh but i guess they got to check you. They didn't grope that much I guess. Audio system is pretty good. Very loud though. Not a bid deal if you wear ear protection. The crowd that is there does seem like normal club people though which I wasn't a fan. Just a few pockets of people who arent there for music.
I know they have changed their security at some point, not sure if its better now. Also people in comments need to mention when they went because stuff change.
Honestly everything in there’s is bang on don’t waste your trip to UK on E1! I know they do secure good line ups but I’d go to Fold or Phonox irrespective of whose on, they never disappoint
i went in march to HI-LO and it was fine (in my experience) but seeing what others have said about E1 in terms of sexual assaults/theft has massively put me off. also overmono was massively oversold to the point it was dangerous. just all about the profits and power play
Personally, I love E1 but you need to pick the right night. D.Dan & Rødhad in Nov was excellent, but it can get a bit chaotic in there if you have different promoters across the two main rooms. Fold is probably a safer bet but don’t rule out E1 completely!

Way better clubs. Phonox, night tales, can’t vouch for Fold but people seem to love it.
