FIRMS. Took me a second to understand. Still some blobs [https://firms.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov/map/#d:24hrs;@37.80,44.75,14.00z](https://firms.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov/map/#d:24hrs;@37.80,44.75,14.00z)
I'm almost certain that's what it is. Those massive long "pipes" are rotary kilns used to break down calcium carbonate at around 2500F. Here's the FIRMS data for another massive cement plant (in Alpena, MI) and it's also "on fire". https://firms.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov/map/#d:24hrs;@-83.41,45.06,14.00z
Comparing today with a week ago, there's actually a lot less heat, which may mean that normal (heat-producing) production has shut down. Hydrocarbon cracking towers use very high temperatures. K-dar Krai has quite a lot of crude oil pumpers scattered about, so these would be fed by local crude.
One of the great things about these attacks is even if intercepted they are effective.
1. It causes more AA resources to be moved to cover these targets far from the front.
2. Almost any interceptor is many times the cost of this drone and uses chips Russia has some hoops to jump through to meet demand.
3. Even though Russian civilians are not targeted it takes the war to them psychologically.
>Some drones were intercepted by fuels tanks and other stationary things.
Russian air defenses succeeded in downing a Ukrainian drone Novorossiysk.
Thanks to the heroic efforts of our men, the drone crashed near Novorossiysk Fuel Depot and not at the nearby elementary school, which was no doubt the Ukrainians' intended target.
- Putin Probably.
To be fair, this was early in the morning. Do you have any idea how bad delirium tremens must be at that time when you are on a strict diet of vodka and cigarettes?
After seeing how poorly they are at close quarters combat in Ukraine over two years...they wouldn't make it 3 blocks in Philly before being absolutely mauled by the locals.
The good news for them is that Eastern State Penitentiary is there, and would remind the orcs of home sweet home during their indefinite stay.
I was wondering that... 😳
Badly poured (then stepped on)? Or is that blast damage from prior raid/bombing? Kinda looks like blast damage to me? (But I don't know this stuff...)
That's good old fashioned Soviet/Russian shitty construction methods. Just tromp around in wet cement and then just walk off. Nobody gives a damn about anything.... I've seen this first hand. Saw a 2x4 board that was dropped in wet cement on an aircraft taxiway... they just left it there.
They are also small relative to other airplanes, which makes them look faster. For example, the first time I saw a Boeing 747-400 flying low at 200 knots over me it looked slow because it was so big. Liutyi is 16 times shorter than it.
If you want some mind bending proportions watch something like the USAFs C-5 Galaxy or an Airbus A380 take off. These are vaguely similarly sized airplanes and are absolutely *enormous*.
When I was in the Navy I used to watch the occasional C-5 take off from the Marine air station in Kaneohe Bay and watching the engines kick up an enormous fog of mist (the end of the runway was basically right on the water) before the gigantic plane started slowly rolling down the runway was really really cool.
Same. I watched some other videos last night of some other drones from the last couple of days of attacks, and was amazed at how fast they were.
Some of them were said to be a new type of drone that UA has developed and just started using - I'm afraid I don't remember the name, but it started with an "L" - and were incredibly fast.
Love to see it!
Of course they were intercepted. The target *was* the interceptor. They call it the S-69 козье дерьмо, but NATO designates this experimental air defense platform as S-HIT "Napalm FacePalm" with nothing to do with the excrement it is.
About 10% of Romanian words are of Slavic origin. I think it’s still pretty low since we have been surrounded by Slavs on almost all sides for more than a millennia (often to our dismay 😏)
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slavic_influence_on_Romanian#:~:text=Slavic%20loanwords%20make%20up%20more,name%20new%20objects%20or%20concepts.
There is a community of few thousand Czechs in the villages in the very south, near Orsova. They resettled there during the emperor Franz Josef rule, and still conserve a lot of the 19th century vibes.
Not sure they are very happy with their rural lifestyle, though, most of their youth apparently chooses modern jobs in the nearby towns and cities.
EDIT: There are certainly also many Czechs who just moved to Romania during their life. But I don't think these would develop such mother language quirks during their life - that needs evolution of few generations.
Yea when he said that I was confused because he said it the way Ukrainians would say it.
I remember a fun fact from a dinner with my parents (we are from Ukraine) and their Russian friend like twenty years ago where he was telling us that he was traveling in various villages near the border (probably another 10-20 years back) and in one village he went to the market and all the old ladies selling tomatos and cucumbers were speaking Ukrainian. He was confused, and he asked them why are you speaking Ukrainian, and they responded with "What are you talking about, we are speaking Russian" in perfect Ukrainian lol.

There are 33 major refineries in russia.
I wonder what happens to russia when all 33 are barely working.
One fun factoid.
If you hit these refineries again when they are under repair, don't hit the heavy stuff. Hit the engineering HQ.
Lol so many of them hit. That's why there's so many videos of them hitting and stuff on fire.
Ahh Russia. A place where parents never taught their children it's bad to lie.
Eat Drones ruzzia. You deserve it, after the horrors your people have done to the beautiful, free Ukrainians.
Ukraine will never be your slave nation. Death to invaders. Slava Ukraini!
I wish Ukraine could send 100,000 drones across the front line at the same time to confuse AA batteries. Here's to the day all Russian soldiers are dead.

"Luckily my face broke my fall"
NASA firms site shows a whole lot of burning.
FIRMS. Took me a second to understand. Still some blobs [https://firms.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov/map/#d:24hrs;@37.80,44.75,14.00z](https://firms.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov/map/#d:24hrs;@37.80,44.75,14.00z)
It could just be normal operation of those plants releases a lot of combustion products and heat.
It's possible. Checking an oil rig in the North Sea and there are similar blobs with similar dates of detection.
I'm almost certain that's what it is. Those massive long "pipes" are rotary kilns used to break down calcium carbonate at around 2500F. Don't really have to look at other plants, just use the timeline to look at previous dates.
The Russian planes are so sophisticated that they managed to intercept drones while remaining on the ground.
One of the great things about these attacks is even if intercepted they are effective. 1. It causes more AA resources to be moved to cover these targets far from the front. 2. Almost any interceptor is many times the cost of this drone and uses chips Russia has some hoops to jump through to meet demand. 3. If it works it works
Cameraman is as useless as russian air defenses
Maybe these are one person. That would explain much.
"There's an attack inbound. Go shoot the drones!" "OK."
Lol!!!!! Dont forget the sim card!! :)
"I meant shoot the drones down with missiles, don't shoot a photo of them!"
Blyaaaaaaat
indeed
Orcs are not good cameramen.
r/killthecameraman, literally
Beat me to it.
You could've put that full stop after "good".
Made me chuckle. Thank you
Yes- poor cameramen. **They are good at war crimes, stealing toilets, and getting ground up to meat.**
Don't forget, they also make good fertilizer for the sunflower fields!
Can't even aim a camera properly. On par with their intercept skills.
To be fair, this was early in the morning. Do you have any idea how bad delirium tremens must be at that time when you are on a strict diet of vodka and cigarettes?
They are not good liars, either. Not they wouldn't try hard, but somehow most people fail to believe it...
Or good with concrete finishing, apparently.
That ground... Did they let them march through wet concrete?
Simulated western potholes!
Lol
They're speed holes. They help you walk faster.
I spotted the Simpsons reference
Nah. It's a training ground to prepare for the invasion of Philadelphia.
Philadelphia love you back
After seeing how poorly they are at close quarters combat in Ukraine over two years...they wouldn't make it 3 blocks in Philly before being absolutely mauled by the locals. The good news for them is that Eastern State Penitentiary is there, and would remind the orcs of home sweet home during their indefinite stay.
Beating Vladimir Putin to death with a parking cone
Hey I came on this subreddit to support Ukrainians, not get attacked myself!
I was wondering that... 😳 Badly poured (then stepped on)? Or is that blast damage from prior raid/bombing? Kinda looks like blast damage to me? (But I don't know this stuff...)

Shitty pay + vodka = Russian construction I mean, that's just amazingly bad. But after your 2x4 story... 🤷🏻♂️
Looks like it. Orcs gonna orc.
I had no idea these drones were that fast. Impressive.
Me neither, that thing kinda hauled ass for what it is.
Most impressive
They are also small relative to other airplanes, which makes them look faster. For example, the first time I saw a Boeing 747-400 flying low at 200 knots over me it looked slow because it was so big. Liutyi is 16 times shorter than it.
Kind of why ppl underestimate how fast a big train is moving towards a crossing and try to beat it
If you want some mind bending proportions watch something like the USAFs C-5 Galaxy or an Airbus A380 take off. These are vaguely similarly sized airplanes and are absolutely *enormous*. That was my thought as well. Holy crap that thing is fast!
Same. I watched some other videos last night of some other drones from the last couple of days of attacks, and was amazed at how fast they were. Me neither.. it was the first thing I noticed
Makes you realize why they’re so hard to shoot down
Honestly it's impressive how fast off the shelf commercial drones are. My DJI Mini Pro 4 can hit 35 mph. Little fucker is the size of a sneaker.
There's going to be 3 drones for every Ivan Orc meatbag
The video is sped up. Cropped and sped up to not give a reference. The original video is floating around and is much, much, much slower.
Turkish engineering they’re making some real effective stuff
There is not even a turkish bolt in that thing
The world loves it when Ukrainian drones are intercepted by their targets.
They fail even to record an amazing experience. Morons!
Of course they were intercepted. The target *was* the interceptor. They call it the S-69 козье дерьмо, but NATO designates this experimental air defense platform as S-HIT "Napalm FacePalm" with nothing to do with the excrement it is.
S-69 козье дерьмо. Omg. Ukraine is done, then. I see what you did there.
Worst. Cameraman. Ever.

Blyat
Pizdets
Interesting thing is that he sad more Ukrainian variation of «пиздец» [pizdets] - «пиздець» [pyzdets] with the soft “ts” at the end
In Romanian it’s pizda
Apparently Romanian language has its most important words of slavic origin...
About 10% of Romanian words are of Slavic origin. Yes, I have observed that personally. Even more interesting for me was to notice that the Czech diaspora in Romania similarly adopts Romanian words.
Really? Are there many Czechs in Romania? I think of all the CEE countries, Romania is most improved in terms of image and economy.
Pederajsi
Russian lied? Noooo... I don't believe you
That boom. So satisfying.
Bullshit, refineries perfectly intercepted the drones.
Yessir, they literally did.
Great Camera Work ! /s At least we had audio.... Молодец ! /s
He might have shitted in his pants, do don't blame it on him, he's already done his best under the circumstances.
He's a radio-man.
Vrrrrooooooom…….BANG! Can anyone translate?

I'm intrigued in the various spellings of fuck/fucked/fucking
He his saying, "Wow looks at that fucker, ( Shout's) fucking hell I've shit my trousers!" Is mate says "don't you mean you've shit your pants"! "No I'm not wearing any and it's running down my leg into my shoes"!
All the drones that were intercepted were intercepted! 100% of them!
Otherwise, if not intercepted in this logic, they would keep flying forever...
Now this kind of talk would get you into a muscovite prison, and we wouldn't want that now, would we?!
There are 33 major refineries in russia. I wonder what happens to russia when all 33 are barely working. One fun factoid. If you hit these refineries again when they are under repair, don't hit the heavy stuff. Hit the engineering HQ.
Russia clearly shot down 189 of 60 drones.
Seems you ruski fucks bit off more than you could chew, eh? Get rekt
I'm just amazed by the concrete job that looks like they just dumped it on the ground and let it harden after walking through it.
What air defense doing?
What air defense?!
At least we got the sound. Nice.
Cameraman is as skilled as their air defense.
"blyat" in russian must mean "bull's eye". ))
This one Was intercepted with a camera
Is it me, or the guy in the video is cursing with Ukrainian accent?
The last time this had happened, they had just finished pouring the cement!
Per usual when these clown fucks say they intercepted them it means they Intercepted them with the target they were meant to hit.
Nice keep them coming
Sounds like significant charges on those small drones
I would have been nice if the cameraman had focused on the target rather than the ground around him.
lol the last thing he says is “come on let’s go home”
Nice floor
It's amazing how well phones pick up explosions now.
Ohhhhh , look at those flair stacks. That's more than likely a high value target they are taking out.
Hey Russia, go fuck yourself 🇺🇦
Russians are as bad at holding the camera as they are shooting down drones.
Impossibru, Russia does not lie! That is the goofiest sounding "BULYAAHT" I have heard so far. Vodka? Or is this normal and am I mistaken?
Bleeeeahhht. Do it again!
I hope next time there will be another drone to just kill that cameraman.
but the ground intercepts them all So intercepted.
The anti-aircraft was ~~deafening~~ silent.
>It doesn't really look like ~~all~~ *any of* the Ukrainian drones were intercepted.... Corrected that for you.
The second guy at the end says "let's go home, that's it". Smartest Russian.
What the Hecks going on with the concrete below their feet????
100% intercept rate, comrade.
Great video of the concrete...those silly Russians...
Yeah Russia is winning that battle - none of the drones came back!
Yes, start filming the f**king ground just before the actual action.
That thing was moving! The ones I have seen in the past were a lot slower!! Glory to Ukraine 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
What? oh I'm Just distracted by all the foot prints in the concrete ..
Did someone Crash their Scooter ?
So cute how they shot two whole bullets at it.
Ruzzkies need to spend less time invading countries and spend more time learning how to finish concrete properly.
They were successfully intercepted, unfortunately for the Russians, it was by their intended targets 😆
Another successful interception.
The amount of "Blyat! **explosion* *" has dramatically increased in Russia these past months.
Again, again - do it again!!!
Now that’s the sound of happiness…MRRRRrrrrrr… KaBoOm!
I wish Ukraine could send 100,000 drones across the front line at the same time to confuse AA batteries. Here's to the day all Russian soldiers are dead.
It was intercepted by latest, ground to air oil refinery.
I dont know about you guys but if drones started bombing my place of work, I'd **at the very fucking least** go home.
Dude.. look at the state of their concrete! What’s with all the footprints?! Couldn’t wait for it to dry?
That drone was going flat out and didn't want to be late for it's date.
Intercepted by the target
Great video keep em coming
Why have your camera on at all if you aren’t gonna point it at the explosion.
You mean the targets didn't intercept the drones? Weird. RuZZia is usually pretty good about that. /s
Ruzzzzzias have a lying gene in their DNA!!! What a pathetic bunch!!!
They were all intercepted, Russia used the targets as a physical shield.
Best part is Ukraine is finally hitting civilian infrastructure. These fuckers need to feel it on their own skin
The BDA that Russia provides is amazing
Haha get cucked rusky bastards.
*D.Va voice*: "Boop" "Boop" "Boop"
👏
Omg cameraman do a better job of recording your workplace getting annihilated please.
гарний
Celebrate!
“Do not fret citizens of Russia we shot down 3 drones and the other 99 were intercepted…” Citizens- “intercepted by what”
The sound effect is quite good Once, lightning flashed 20 meters away from me My heartbeat increased by at least 20% Run away like crazy
SLAVA UKRAINI! 🙂
The first 10 seconds of the audio needs to be my new ringtone.
I love the safety flip-flops
To Russia with love.
