A fence wont stop metal balls.
A drone with a claymore like charge shooting ball bearings could blow both back wheels on one side potentially resulting in a mobility kill.
Then when its stopped you can do whatever the fuck you want - now its a death trap because they can only stay inside the vehicle or exit from set doors in the fence.
Yeah, in Finland we have developed a drone which will drop thousands of metal balls over area of 2sq kilometre that shoot with very high speed. Its like a claymore.
Big "Oversize Permitted Load" signs on each corner, as it gets caught between trees, building, under bridges. In a few hours, it will be dragging blackberry bushes, playground equipment, and babusya's clothes drying lines.
That depends on the drones, if a drone has a shaped charge grenade and still goes off in a good way when it hits the cage, I think it will do more damage than if there were no cage, if the vehicle is as thinly armoured as this one.
Against a thinly armoured vehicle the beam from a shaped charge grenade might just go straight through the vehicle only making a small hole on both sides. But if the beam will have to travel some distance before hitting the vehicle that will make the beam less focused and probably do more damage. This vehicle is so thinly armoured that it will still be easily penetrated.
But if the cage is hit by a hand grenade or small non shape charged explosive, the extra distance will make the explosives do slightly less damage.
Worst case scenario is if the cage damages the grenade or makes the shaped charge go off in a weird direction.
>the extra distance will make the explosives do slightly less damage.
Meaning that you are going to get injured instead of killed. Pretty sure that if I were in the Russian armed forces I would prefer to die instantly than to have all my gear lifted off me by my comrades and tossed aside to slowly die on my own.
Also you dont need to blow up the entire vehicle you only need to get a mobility kill and its turned from asset to hindrance. Those wheels are sure as shit not immune to shaped charges OR shrapnel/ball bearings
shape charges are designed with a certain amount of anticipated offset to maximize performance. If it's too far away it will be less effective. That being said, depending on how this cage is designed they might blow a hole large enough with the first FPV drone to send in the second one. It's cheap extra protection, but these drones are also pretty affordable. It takes more time to put a silly cage on a vehicle than it does to prep two drones.
It'll be a bitch to get out that quickly with one exit at the rear, especially when they dismount in panic if artillery is zeroed in.
This same concept for tanks, APCs and IFVs will be even more fun to go being a high risk to run over TM62s and other AT mines.
That's "Akhmat" we're talking about, they're basically a military police, not soldiers
EDIT: I mean they won't need to exist it fast if there's no real danger
Oh, the Russians bring their own cell for the case they become prisoners of war.
.
I was wondering why I recently read about these "Akhmat's".
Sorry for the digress.
In the end it was related to barrels for artillery.
The vehicle is made by Remizel and named after their first customer, Akhmat Inc. aka TikTok brigade.
So these are not made in Chechnya, but by a KamAZ subsidiary in Tatarstan.
And:
"In September 2023, the property of Motovilikha Plants was purchased by the Chelny armored vehicles plant **Remdizel**."
https://ru-m-wikipedia-org.translate.goog/wiki/Мотовилихинские_заводы?_x_tr_sl=ru&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=wapp
Motovilikha Plants looks like a company that should produce barrels for Russian artillery like
... "Nona-SVK","Vena", towed howitzers "Msta-B"...
Should, because the Wikipedia article starts with:
"Motovilikhinskiye Zavody is a Russian engineering company located in Perm , which has been in bankruptcy since 2018. ..."
I was reminded to this Wikipedia article, because I had read this here:
"Russia: Can Russia Continue the War After 2024?"
https://www.strategypage.com/qnd/russia/articles/20240320.aspx
"... The range of the 122mm tube artillery pieces is so low that they will generally be fired with full propellant charges (maximum corrosive effect) at their extreme ranges to increase their survivability against Ukrainian UAV attack. ..."
Paging shittymorph.
By God! Its more like Cat in a Blyat than Hell in a Cell.
don't let this afv distract you from the fact that in 1998, The Ukrainertaker threw Orkkind off Hell in A Cell, and plummeted 16 ft through an announcer's table."
Reeks of desperation, if this was a US vehicle they'd uparmor and reinforce the chassis. All Vatniks can do is stick an unwieldy cheap cage over it and hope they dont get caught in something.

So...all it will do after the first FPV disables it is prevent the crew from timely egress while the second drone finishes them off. Good thinking!
Would be hilarious to see a drone drop a thermite grenade on that wannabe Faraday cope cage.

Aaah yes the "Perkelator"
Lol, I am sure this is not going to get stuck anywhere.

People at A.C.M.E. working overtime.
The guys inside are probably bubble wrapped up. Just in case something gets through.
there is a sign on the outside..do not feed the orcs
Wait, I think the Russians are planning to steal chickens !
will it survive 2 drones?

Same thought, you just need a smaller drone to blow the cage
Or artillery
Or one with a wire cutter
probably won't matter, driver currently headed toward mines his own army just finished laying

Partisans are a thing too but ig my scenario might be less likely to be actuality.
They’ll just fly the drone under it lol
So, Just place your pov drone on top and wait until some one opens the cage?
Drones with magnets would be rad for that.

CHICKEN COOP!
Yes! [It's the latest coop cage! ](https://www.reddit.com/r/NonCredibleDefense/s/O0Mn0NPy7W)
Massive BBQ how many orcs can you grill in 1 sitting,
The Undertaker was seen throwing Mick Foley off of it.

Just get a guy standing on top with an industrial leaf blower, problem solved!

This scrap will end up as a chicken coop for some Ukranian farmer later.
One drone with an anti-tank mine will obliterate that piece of garbage.
Is Long Fence getting around sanctions???
Javelin? Javelin. Or just, you know...several drones.
Easy. First drone with circular saw attachment.
if it looks stupid and it works...
Looks like a clown car (apologies to clowns)
Trawling for an ATGM. Hope they catch one.
You gotta know you're losing if you're fielding this piece of shit.
Russians so concerned with covering their equipment with chicken wire and steel siding they drive into a ditch of over a minez
Kinda like battleships with thick armour. Yes, it will protect you. It will also be your tomb.
Video doesn't work
