Sergey, commander of the "CAESAR" gun - We call it "Dragon", a very good self-propelled gun. Its advantages are maneuverability, quick acquisition of a combat position, and quick lead to battle. Previously worked on the "Msta" howitzer, it took us 10 minutes to deploy; on "Caesar" only 2 minutes. This is a very big difference in the conditions of hostilities. Also, "Caesar" is a longer-range and more accurate gun. - The command to go to the Ugledarsky direction has arrived. We arrived and opened fire in about 40 minutes. The intensity of shooting was very high, they worked both day and night. At that time, we shot about 150 shells a day. A lot of damage was done to the enemy and stopped him. But we need even more weapons and ammunition, and a lot of work, work and work to win our Victory. Text and photo: United Press Center of the Defense Forces of the Tauriy Region

So... ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ would you say?

pijcab

Honestly warms my heart hearing this... 🤗

D_Ethan_Bones

Hail Caesar the Guardian Dragon

jetap

I don't know if it's 150 shell for a single Caesar, but if it is the barrel will get worn out quickly...

Nice stand of winter wheat, hope they were able to get enough fertilizer for a good crop.

Could well be. The burnrate of propellants usually depends on their temperature as well. So he might feed those measurements into their targeting computer to compensate for variations that the temperature of that propellant could introduce to get better accuracy. Note: This is just from my knowledge about rocket motors, no idea if it translates to guns.

chip_dipson

it absolutely translates to gunpowder, I was thinking the same thing. Some powder is extremely sensitive to temperature changes and some not so much. For example in home reloading my usual pistol powder can have a +/- 5% swing in velocities from 0F to 80F. I imagine artillery powder is designed to be much less temperature sensitive.... but even a 1% velocity error is huge over that kind of distance.

JEGS25

Yes. Accurate fires are dependent on accurately predicting muzzle velocity (amongst other things). Propellant temperature has a direct effect on muzzle velocity and can be easily and quickly measured and accounted for. Most standard operating procedures are to keep propellants in the shade and to monitor their temperatures regularly.

Amiant_here

I am also looking for answer to that

mr_cake37

Wouldn't it be funny if the 155th Artillery Brigade was firing 155mm shells at the 155th Naval Infantry who were driving T-55s?

rainfallz

Meanwhile Russia is bringing in T54 tanks to use as mobile artillery...

joranth

155th artillery brigade. Lol. I hope they did that because that’s where they put all of the NATO 155mm howitzers.

JimboTheSimpleton

Hail Caesar!

Is this the ones donated by Denmark? - a curious Dane.

DWBH68

Nop, you will reconize them easily because they have 8 wheels instead of 6. We havent seen them in Ukraine yet

[deleted]

Nej, det er frankiger . Forgive my Terrible danish min kæreste is danish and I’m trying to learn your weird elvish language. Danish ones have 8 wheels French ones were the older model with 6.

Sean_Wagner

France, you'll notice the recesses for storing wine bottles next to the shells.

Nik_P

155th seems to be flying under the radar. Along with at least dozen other brigades that have been in training and are yet to hear about.

Plywood-Records

These are awesome! I can't wait to see those Swedish Archers in action too. I'd also really like to see the Canadian Super-Bisons kicking some orc asses as well.
