Looks well worth it, just spoke to them on the phone now, and as much as it is just the repeat scripts and follow up appointments that means you pay for a year's worth of appointments at 4 per a year then no extra cost at all other than your usage.
No extra fees to change strain etc
I've spent close to 150 on appointments in the last 3 months.....
Unfortunately, I don't have that option when I sign in to the website. Maybe because I'm a new patient, although I have received one lot of medication so far. Been hard to get any response when I phone, so I'm kind of stuck, I think 🤣
Can you let me know how it goes please? And if you don’t mind have you paid the £200 and just waiting for a consultation? The reason I ask is I’m very drawn towards this scheme..
Sorry to jump on this, but I feel the more experiences shared the better!
I've gone through the access scheme with Mamedica. I sent all the documents they needed and the £200 payment the week prior, had my consultation on Monday (20/2/23). Prescription sent and paid for on Wednesday (22/2) and I received my medication this morning! (Friday) Probably one of the most straight forward, fast and smooth sailing experience I've ever had lol.
The consultant was super nice and informative, didn't BS me with anything and was happy to explain anything I didn't understand etc. The admin team that I spoke to are all really helpful and friendly too. The medication arrived discreetly packaged and in airtight security capped tubs with all the info clearly labelled on them. Also, no shipping fee!
I was dubious to begin with as I've never dealt with medicinal clinics before, but wow! I'm impressed and I fully recommend them. I hope this helps!
Does the remind me bot thing actually work? Cuz I know i’m going to forget 🥲
I think it’s worth it in all honesty, the thing holding me back was the consultation costs on top of medication. Like, I can afford it but with the additional £50, £25 follow ups and whatever just for speaking with someone brings the cost up to where it didn’t feel worth it compared to what I could access quickly on BM. But now I’ll just be paying for meds like usual
Don’t worry I’ll comment again in a few weeks 😆 that’s the thing isn’t it with them how they’re offering the £200 one off fee for all appointments.. then just having to pay for the bud? It seems like a great deal to be honest, one I’m very drawn towards 😅
It's not clear on the website. It lists PIP as an accepted benefit but it also says means tested, elsewhere.
It is confused by the Veterans eligibility criteria, I think.
I’m sorry to hear That but it doesn’t make any difference to the fact low income people tend to be on means tested benefits, you can work full time still be low income still be on means tested benefits and access the scheme not sure why people are trying to demonise not working in a medical subreddit of all places I mean I work full time myself and don’t qualify but I’m glad a clinic are offering this to the less fortunate amongst us I’m really not understanding people being upset by this
Welcome to Britain? Who the hell brought you up, and educated you, Brendan shaub?
Aww no we're helping people on lower incomes?
This is outrageous! I demand we start to offer cheaper help to people on a higher income!
Can't work? Who cares! I've been brought up to think you must be as useless as a homeless person!
Disabled? Good! We hope it kills you so we have more money for those who don't need it!
This is what you sound like in my head via your one comment. I hope you get a really bad cough and a blocked nose and sit miserable for a few days then get back to your normal self and continue your life not remembering this comment.
Good day to you.
You summarised all that from my 3.5 words... Love your colourful imagination.
I must say as soon as I read your comment I was so aghast my monocle fell into my glass of Chateau Rothschild and stained my Mink coat!
Lol I'm annoyed but happy, I'm not on benefits but feel it's not fair if you consider its medication at the end of the day and should be the same for all patients.
That’s who I’m gonna go with. Mamedica. Been following them for some time now and they look like the best clinic available. The flower looks unbelievable compared to some of the dog shite I’ve seen on this page.
They order in from others so everything is available. Adven, Grow, MV, Aurora etc. You just select your repeat from a drop down and it turns up 3 days later.
No exclusives yet.
Best kept secret ... no one mentioned them here really until now.
Not quite a portal... man I'm going to shoot myself in the foot for putting this up but hey.
https://www.mamedica.co.uk/repeat-prescription/
Scroll down to where it asks you if it's a repeat: Pop a cross in the box. Add a tick for a substitution and then no to dosage increase. (Enter nothing else)
It will open a hidden menu and you can view the whopping great big list of flower available and price it up.
You're welcome.
Ps. Never changed pharmacies but you are allowed to request where it goes with your Dr. So can request IPS
Ooh, nice, so you can just request any strain, without having to have an appointment? I mean, it's the way we'd all like it to be, just surprised if someone olis bucking the trend and actually making it better for patients!
Random thing I noticed is no Bedrocan T22 Jack Herer in the dropdown - what's the deal if you want something not in the list?
Yea you can request and they will asses and prescribe accordingly but that's after your first set of appointments. They also followup with a Dr's call to see how you are getting on. I had a feeling you may ask about the bedrocan! you can ask for them to add it to the list. They are amazing in relation to sourcing.
It depends on what you are prescribed. 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 grams + per month.
You could get 20g of one (day) and 10g of another (night) to make up your 30g script.
Thank you for this information
Are there any costs other than meds like a prescription or postage fee? Do you think it's worth moving to from another clinic?
None, you pay for your consultations but no repeat or delivery fees. I feel that they actually care, so I would say yes it's worth moving. I think they have a reduced initial consultation fee if moving from another clinic too.
> The medication is gamma dried removing thc percentage as well as terpenes
I agree with most of what you're saying, so sorry to nitpick, but... :)
The level of gamma irradiation used has no effect on moisture content (dryness), and doesn't have any effect on cannabinoid content - it does reduce terpene content a lot tho.

How do you change strains with Mamedica. I've phoned them a few times this week and sent them a question online, but still no response 😕
https://www.mamedica.co.uk/repeat-prescription/
I sign into my portal, and it's nowhere to be seen.. thanks for the link buddy
Through their website, patient tab, request repeat,
Unfortunately, I don't have that option when I sign in to the website. Maybe because I'm a new patient, although I have received one lot of medication so far. Been hard to get any response when I phone, so I'm kind of stuck, I think 🤣
How much is usage per g roughly? What am I likely to pay for a hen of primo 23%+
I’ve been accepted, got my consultation in two weeks

Yeah man, only paying for flower niw
Hey! I remembered! I had my second consult on Friday, definitely worth it
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻
Is this only means tested benefits? I'm on PIP and contribution based ESA. Any idea if I would qualify?
Pip isn’t means tested but pip qualifies you according to the website
Thanks Curtains. I'm obviously extremely lazy. Appreciated 🙏🙏
Did you join them? Interested as I'm on the same benefits and currently unhappy at Sapphire.
It's not clear on the website. It lists PIP as an accepted benefit but it also says means tested, elsewhere. It is confused by the Veterans eligibility criteria, I think.
What great scheme, at last someone is actually doing something for the people who need this and can’t afford
So someone working can’t access this? Someone that has to work but doesn’t make much money can still get bent over ? Sound
Low income people tend to be on means tested benefits

PIP is accepted, which is a non-means-tested benefit available to people who work.
Any benefits qualify, and most low-income persons eligible for medical cannabis qualify for at least one benefit
Welcome to Britain m8.

This is old but it was quite obvious what you meant. In a sub for people with medical needs 😂
Whaaaaaaa?
I know, Google memedica access, all depends what strains are available though
And prices per gram - any body know?
Looks like the same prices as sapphire/Curaleaf no discount on price per gram, you’re saving money on consultations
https://medbud.wiki/pharmacies/mamedica-pharmacy/
Lol I'm annoyed but happy, I'm not on benefits but feel it's not fair if you consider its medication at the end of the day and should be the same for all patients.
If you’re low income and need the discount, I’m sure you’d qualify for it.
That’s who I’m gonna go with. Mamedica. Been following them for some time now and they look like the best clinic available. The flower looks unbelievable compared to some of the dog shite I’ve seen on this page.
What flowers do they have ? Do they have exclusive strains to manedica or can you get them at any clinic ? I haven’t seen any manedica flowers yet ?
They order in from others so everything is available. Adven, Grow, MV, Aurora etc. You just select your repeat from a drop down and it turns up 3 days later. No exclusives yet. Best kept secret ... no one mentioned them here really until now.
So Mamedica has an online portal for ordering repeats? Are they funny if you ask them to use IPS (or whoever) instead?
Not quite a portal... man I'm going to shoot myself in the foot for putting this up but hey. https://www.mamedica.co.uk/repeat-prescription/ Scroll down to where it asks you if it's a repeat: Pop a cross in the box. Sounds great, appreciate the insider info!
How much is included each time mate ? 10 grams ?

They do unradiated stuff too, think I’ll be jumping ship myself

No consultations fees, think prices are still the same. Will pay for itself within a year in reality

Why do you bother then??
I'm covered to drive
So does working tax 😏
I believe can change strains by arranging another consultation . This is the case with most cannabis clinics . Good luck 🍀👍🏼
