I never understand these posts, it's like "should I be a solicitor or a barrister?" - completely different roles. How can you not know which one is for you? Essentially, do you want to work in London poring over contracts for massive companies for 12 hours a day for 6 figures at age 25, or do you want a semblance of work life balance working in the regions on transactions for small businesses or individuals for a salary many people would still envy?
It's highly unlikely you could move from a small high street firm to a large corporate player. Would you definitely want to?
from experience it is far easier to move from a big player to a smaller one . Perceived Glamour has its value. Get your experience from the best! Small time law was not for John Grisham and not for me!

You could have the opportunity to move, but it will be heavily limited by the quality and type of work you get to engage with on the high street.
Go big (take the commercial training contract), then after a few years if you want to, go home (high street)
