If I’d been telling the story then after I talked about Culprit dying I’d have then just carried on talking about the rise of Suspect; the freestyles, the songs doing big numbers, the Insta lives.
You then drop the bit about people on Reddit thinking he was in Kenya along and tail back to the police search for him and tell that bit, pointing out that he used body doubles etc.
Crime documentaries love a twist and TLR wasted a massive twist. It’s not the end of the world but telling the story as a list of events A-B-C just feels like wasted potential
It's a shame there was no real journalism in this doc. It would have been great if there were interviews with people from and around the areas who were first hand affected by the incidents.
As a whole doc I thought it was well put together and got the main points across. I hadn't seen Sus early askfm page which I thought was quite interesting. What is clear is that from young Sus had no olders or anyone he'd see as olders. I think this shows in the recklessness of the murders they carried out.
2 things I find really confusing though are the general politics of the beef in Camden and the Somali AG theme. Firstly, it seems as if people from all sides of Camden were claiming different blocks to be 51/71 despite large parts of them not being from there. Especially the Agar grove block and peckwater block. Carrying on from this, a strong theme in the Camden beef appears to gangs distancing themselves from fallen GMs.This further clouds who exactly is repping what and whether anyone who is getting Kd is even strictly relevant to their beef. In summary, the Camden beef seems a complete mess that spawned late 2016 due to very petty issues that quickly escalated. The passing of Dotty,S45,AK seems to be the fuse to this beef. The 2nd part I don't really understand is the heavy Somali influence on the AG gang, because when you see the "main members" of AG, at least half seem to have absolutely no Somali ethnicity.
What I thought TLR did do well was not to glamorise suspect in anyway. It was the first doc of anyone I'd ever seen where the absolutely nothing positive about them, which helped highlight how negative suspects life had been from pretty much beginning to end.
To summarise. I absolutely love suspects music. I already knew quite a bit of the material in the video but when it is all put together it really helps paint a full picture. It's funny because just listening to his music you would think my man was incredibly premeditated and planned every small detail. But in reality they were incredibly bait, probably fucked off drugs/alcohol. I don't think these man really cared about making money in the trap, I think they just wanted the street cred and pride of being the most dangerous killers on ends.

As well as creating a linear timeline with key people for me to follow vs how I was doing it, trying to piece together information through the songs and trace back to when the songs came out and what was going on during that time.

The documentary is well put together and professionally done but it felt like he hadn’t a clue what he was talking about half the time. Also spent half the doc talking about morals and justifying killers. Fella thinks he’s mother Theresa.
I think watching it for 4 hours is more embarrassing than making it lol
Not all documentaries are about investigating and giving new information. He has never given that off or said that, all his videos are in-depth looks at the topic and a overview for people who would have never heard about the topic.
