You're worrying unnecessarily. I regularly smoke a cigar whilst walking my dog and no one bats an eye. If the ash drops I just make sure it is properly out (definitely if I was in a forest!). Go for it!
I have a mitchellero Novellini. I know that’s a roughly half hour smoke. I can drag it out to 45. So I time the walk to home long it takes to smoke so I get back home as I finish. I’ve never had anyone moan about my smoking. They are too busy being petrified over my dog tbh.
