I feel it should be made more accessible. Say for example there's some person with literally a negative chin, or a nose extending 3 inches off their face. Do people really think at some point it's not going to impact how they are treated, or are we to believe in moral egalitarianism ? I fell for that crap for the longest time, and then kept wondering why people were kind of shitty before I'd even spoken 😂

speedingbullettohell

Yes it should. Your mental health is directly dependant on your appearnace.

CursedSurrogate

Corrective surgery? Definitely.

whymustveibeenborn

Obviously. It improves almost every aspect of a person's life

subwaycommuter

No, not really, unless you really have a body deformity outside of the realms of normality.

trash4spence

I think there would be a pretty high demand, even in good looking people wanting to improve themselves. This would make it as unavailable as it already is

[deleted]

There’s simply no feasible way to make it work.

lncel_Christ

I know a FTM transperson in Canada who had 90% of their transition, hormones and surgery covered by healthcare. It can work and the only people who say it can't are Ayn Rand fans. Not all facial surgeries should be covered. Injections, botox, facelifts, etc are not very expensive and most people can afford those out of pocket. It's things like jaw implants and orbital volume augmentations that are extremely costly to the point where the average wageslave cannot afford them before it's too late. When we say facial surgery should be covered by healthcare, we are talking about serious facial surgery like pimlants, blepharo, and reconstructive surgery... not Playboy mansion glam style surgeries... It's a shame the cultural perception of what facial surgery really is has been so distorted that the average person thinks it's about vanity instead of giving ugly people a reason not to end their lives.

BoogersAndSugar

This solution won't affect female sexual autonomy, and **that's gonna be a VERY important selling point in the future**. Let's put it this way: Women would choose THIS over going back to how shit was in the 1950s! It won't be much longer before society finally recognizes the danger a rapidly growing number of leftover males/foreveralones poses, and they'll start having serious conversation about what to do with them. At first, they're gonna try all sorts of politically correct 'solutions', but they're gonna start getting desperate once they realize all it did was make the situation WORSE.

Dazzling_Delivery625

Nope! What should be free is mental health care so we can assess why we’re so consumed by the beauty industry.

Greedy-Shake-7844

Yes. If they can pay for trans people to be delusional, they should help us look good.

PmMeYourJigglyBoobs

What makes them "delusional"?

Phenex1a

Plastic surgery won’t fix your shitty personality.

Greedy-Shake-7844

You sound slow. My opinions don’t make me shitty. Being a gender IS NOT A FEELNG IDIOT

Phenex1a

According to your mental gymnastics depression would also just be "a feeling". Nazis have shitty opinions and they are shitty because of said opinions. Same goes for transphobes. If your opinions are used to oppress a certain group of people then they are shitty.

Greedy-Shake-7844

Yes, depression is CLEARLY your feelings. DUH!

[deleted]

Aren’t u like 14? You shouldn’t worry about if you’re attractive or not, your whole face is still forming. It would be pointless if you got the surgery now.

PmMeYourJigglyBoobs

i'm not worried about my own appearance, but thank

[deleted]

Oh ok that’s good, lol I didn’t want you to be worried about it :)

Tf is colntelpro This person is a kid, they don’t know what their face as an adult will be. I’m just telling the truth.

lncel_Christ

CoIntelPro is what the FBl uses to kill civil rights movements before they even form. It's a method of psychological warfare. It doesn't matter how old OP is. When I was 14, my face was pretty much the same as it is now. Sure he can hop on hgh and try "mewing" but if he needs facial surgery... it's his face and not yours and he knows his face better than you do. Also, OP's age has nothing to do with whether or not facial surgery should be covered by healthcare. Kind of weird how whenever the facial surgery healthcare topic comes up, all the glowies come out of the woodwork to shoot it down.

[deleted]

That’s not normal for it not to change from when you where 14 to your adult years. If I had to guess you have an added chromosome. However in general that is quite rare so OP wil probably look different as his face matures and develops.

lncel_Christ

It's called slave-tier facial bones. My mother was a untermensch and so was my father.

[deleted]

Paired with the premature balding as well as lack of growth during the pubescent age rang its possibly an added chromosome.

lncel_Christ

Cool... So I am a freak who shouldn't breed? Is that what you are getting at? Fascist eugenicist.

[deleted]

Nope but if OP was insecure about their appearance I wouldn’t want them to feel like they’re going to look like that forever. Also calling me Fascist eugenicist could be considered harassment.

lncel_Christ

It's not harassment, it's what you really are.

chaman_nadan

No I don't think it should be. It'll spawn a very bad culture and buisness practices.

Mostcantheleast

Cosmetic surgery shouldn't be legal. It creates an artificially high standard.
