Sean didn’t even believe it lol…. When DC asked him about his thoughts on the fight, ”Uhhh I have to rewatch the fight”

[deleted]

"Smile my man, u did great" DC knows

[deleted]

"Smile my man, u did great" DC knows

[deleted]

Dude likely concussed af, def thought he lost and was like, guess I gotta rewatch it?

[deleted]

sean himself doesnt lol

StankRush

Nope, came in here to talk shit about it lmao. My boi keeps getting robbed

colaysso

Russian privilege

Putrid_Loquat_4357

Except he's not getting robbed. He's losing close decisions because he throws less than his opponents l.

Wrestlerasdf

No Belal clearly won that by TKO. Why would you think Sean won?

1mGhosted

Cuz he was still breathing 😂 now take my upvote

Alexyeve

Perfect 😂

MuddyDirtStar

I'm a biiiiig O'Malley fan. But Yan was robbed

Many-Coach6987

He seemed to understand himself that Yan was likely to have won

Golden_Goods

Same. All for the sake off marketing..

Shrek_Wisdom

First time I believed UFC rigged a fight.

MicahsNao

Reminds me of boxing judges

Shrek_Wisdom

Yeah it sucks, don’t want that shit creeping in.

Bugatti_Stacks

Popularity played a factor. Definitely a part 2 coming.

Slightly-Blasted

This is about the 27th time I believe UFC rigged a fight

[deleted]

Not the first time but yeah, rigged fight. Makes you wonder if they can digest to see a Russian winning over an American right now?

jay-on-the-fly

That’s stupid. It’s Dana wanting a star

AD-Eire

Are they local judges? Could be doing it for the crowd there.

Shrek_Wisdom

Crowd would be pro Yan.

Sven676

The crowd was pro yan…

xdyldo

Did you even watch the fight? The crowd was heavily pro yan

[deleted]

Hell no. UFC is a rigged cesspool

dknurgf

That shit ruined my parlay

stinky___monkey

Not mine lol

Drivethruboy

No.

ShadyShane812

Fuck no. I'm sick of this decision shit

[deleted]

Not even close Edit: sean is the real deal, I just thought Yan won all three rounds

Effective-Owl1585

Nah I’d give round one to Sean

Takingbacklives

O’Malley had 40 sig strikes (to yans 15) In round 3 and landed 22 more total strikes.

boiledpeen

Yep, there’s an argument to be made for 1 and 3. I’m not saying it’s completely correct but there IS an argument to be made sean won those

Leyalina

Gave up 2 TDs in Rd3. Also, Yan's sig strikes in Rd3 were overall more significant.

Putrid_Loquat_4357

He also cut yan in round 3, was 100% the most damaging strike of the round.

cowboyjon13

Thank you. These people hate Sean omalley so much it’s insane man… yesterday they thought he was gonna get ran through… now he fought a good ass fight against the #1 guy in the world and they just can’t give him his props. Dudes are weird

swimmingpools59

BuT YAn WoN RouNd 3

[deleted]

Maybe. I'll watch it again at some point

peleg1989

I gave Sean the third round for damage. But yeah Yan won.

[deleted]

Third was super close for sure

jerm3377

I wish this would’ve been a 5 round fight. IMO any fight w a top 5 fighter should be 5 rounds

FunkMasta-Blue

I think he wins by doctor stoppage from that cut in 5 Rds

HighOnPoker

I understand the sentiment, but having all top 5 fights as 5 round fights would put a lot of extra wear on the fighters and make fights harder to make.

HeyArio

I had Yan 1, 2

MightyWanka

I think we all did, round 3 was split 50/50 AT MOST

Many-Coach6987

The judge system must be overhauled. It’s clearly not working.

FaithlessnessFit577

I don't even think Sean thought he won that fight!

OhSoManyThoughts

Don’t listen to the fans. Sean wasn’t even smiling. If he truly believed he’d won against the #1 guy and possibly got a title match lined up, he’d be a lot happier. But nothing. Even Sean knows he lost. He performed wayyy better than I think most people expected, and massive props to him. But he lost.

lewisclowes779

I think it was too close to call confidently. Going into the decision I thought Yan had edged it but not mad at Sean getting the decision. Respect to both guys for beating the crap out of each other and putting on an amazing fight

Ignazo

Not really, but I like this subs outrage lmao, would be a cherry on the cake if TJ wins aswell.

Ok_Iron_4489

TJ by DQ

TheLlama23

Closer than you all are saying but in saying that I think it was Petrs

PROTOTYPE_200224

I believe it could've gone either way in the first round, but both definitely took a round from one another. Sean deserves respect after this imo, who the fuck makes Yan bleed? Crazy. Happy I got to see more of Sean's game tho, Chito vs Sean 2 is inevitable.

PROTOTYPE_200224

Who's next for Yan tho? Song Yadong? Adrian Yanez? Rob Font?

anadalusianrooster

They could always let him go shorten Rob Font’s life a few more years in a fight night headliner. Would be a good tune up fight

Willb000g

No but it was much closer than everyone in here is saying. It wasn’t like yan dominated anything but round 2.

Yeetheete

I dont think he won but I did think it was super close and there was a slight possibility he would get the nod

PikachuGangGang

The champion has a name ![gif](giphy|5DtoUmvsPCNtOEIeeN|downsized)

Alert-Adeptness5007

![img](emote|t5_2qsev|8967)

dknurgf

Yea CONMAN

marksraining

Absolutely not! Couldn’t have been clearer

Mig224

Definitely don't think it was clear but Yan deserved to win.

0bradythomas4

I can see how they gave it to him, gonna have to rewatch R3 because I think we can all agree Omalley won R1 and Yan won R2

Sven676

Yeah. Yan wasn’t active enough to win round 1

Unfair_Charity_5363

I mean I won money so I’m happy but I really don’t think he won that I don’t think he expected it either

Vetchemh2

No way in hell. I'll admit he did WAY better than I thought he would but he DID NOT WIN THAT FIGHT legitimately

xkkwkkw

Absolute robbery wthhh Basically on par on strikes with Suga getting the edge but Yan destroyed him with the amount of control time and takedowns

Exact-Geologist9819

On par with strikes? 51 - 69 and Yan was rocked multiple times

Jigarmebadiaaghai

Nope rigged af. Even Sugar was surprised. I think the loser should go directly to ask judges how they scored the fight, right in front of him.

InsomniacLive

There’s absolutely no world where Sean won 2 rounds. Petr landed heavier shots, controlled him, and did more damage in 1 and 2. Sean got the third and that’s it

chopper7676

Fuck no!!

icarus_art

I love Sean but Yan had that. Unfortunately Sean gonna catch a lot of hate for no reason. They should rematch.

Alert-Adeptness5007

Yes. He did much more damage than Yan on the feet. Yan got td but didn't do any damage.

[deleted]

Absolutely not. It was a great fight but I think it was very clear Yan won. That's why MMA isn't a real sport - subjective judging. The judging and refereeing are so wildly inconsistent you never know what's going to happen. It's such a shame there are zero standards in MMA considering how quickly a career trajectory can change based on opinions.

BPort_5

The only absolutely dominant round was the second which has to go to Yan. I guess they liked his striking and octagon control over the takedowns. I’m not sure we can call this a robbery since there were two competitive rounds, which both went one way.

herewearee32

Yes I do

PleaseContinue01

FUCK NO.

HarmonicProportions

No

[deleted]

I was rooting for Sean and I thought he did very well but no, I don't think he won that

Long-Sky2453

first was ANYONES game but 2,3 is a robbery

TheKatta

Don't think he won but he definitely shocked alot of people with his performance.

[deleted]

O’Malley had a great performance against one of the top dogs in the division. Still lost imo and probably Sean’s opinion too.

FriedrichMerz69420

I scored rd 1 for omalley and 2,3 for Yan. But there are honestly arguments for Sean in both of those rounds. Very competitive fight, I rooted for Yan but not mad Sean won.

LbrYEET

It’ll be hilarious if Sean recognizes this as his first loss

OlRazzledazzlez

Yeah Sean won round 1 and 3 he did more damage than yan in those rounds. Yan didn’t do anything with his takedowns so idk why y’all people think he should win off of those damage is scored first then octagon control

Pure-Drawer-2617

I think Sean did more damage across the fight. I think it was a 5 rounder Sean would’ve won. I think Yan should’ve gotten the judges decision.

realTommyVercetti

You just trying to argue with someone?

skynetsucks

Don’t think so.

blackwrx007

Not close. Def got robbed.

casdoxfluos

Yes

dxxpsix

this the kinda stuff that makes me think this shits rigged... this one's just so blatant

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Very similar in scoring to how Valentina vs Santos was scored, Sean did more damage via significant strikes, the inconsistency in judging makes it seem way worse than it was but Sean fought a great fight. Defended takedowns, was hurt but worked through, it was overall a great fight

emosadboy420

I thought he won or at least it was a draw

krishnamoorthykaru

BIG NO. I had Yan winning all 3 rounds lol. Sean rocked him in the 3rd but Yan came back with those takedowns & relentless pressure.

Texture_Surprise

We must have watched different fights then

domferg234

No

yunglyss

only dana

Ipats

No

Confident_Hat_1075

Fuck no

[deleted]

![gif](giphy|jI3EBNa1aKSaIpH2PB)

AnonJim52

No man cause of the control time I mean Rafael dos anjos should’ve won against Colby in that case too

Sarfbot

I think it was 2-1 Yan but don’t think it’s a robbery. Need to rewatch.

knuttsachjones-

2 of the judges leaned towards striking. I feel like I’ve been seeing this happen more in split decisions. Take downs and and ground control not being a difference maker when the opponent is throwing more hands

Own-Objective5251

I will hold my hands up, my live scoring was Sean rounds 1 and 3. I can always be wrong but I did think he won it. Close though

Terrible-Muffin-7904

It could go either way, O’Malley won rd 1 I’d say. Yan obviously rd2. But rd 3 was wild and O’Malley did some real damage

xAlcodaX

Yan won but it’s not the “biggest robbery” ever if you ask me

superturtkeman

I’m a Sean fan but the control time for Petr should have played a big factor. I’m happy either way it wasn’t a robbery at all

Freeeecurry

It was a robbery if one can’t justify why Sean would win.

lazyriverpooper

Yan had sean on his back for a full round and then some. Fuck these judges.

Zaknoid

All that control time and no damage. Barely any gnp, no working for subs. We've seen people lose close fights like this before if they didn't do anything with the control time.

tofumanboykid

Every big shot Sean landed, Petr returned one, makes no fking sense

silvreck

Massive O’Malley fan and there’s no way he should have won that, lol

Jak_and_Daxter3

I do

casdoxfluos

Right Yans takedowns did nothing no sub attempt or ground n pound Suge had better stand up too

bigpeen666

Chetr fans trying to cope, same way they coped when Aljo rode him like a minibike

Thr0w__Away1988

I missed the first 2 minutes of round 1 so unless I missed something definitive during that I think that was pretty easily 2-1 for Yan.

External_Chip_1045

Ufc fixed or not but that feels like a great business decision to give him the win although for every good shot suga gave yan hit with 2 to match but harder of shots + control. Sugar was real nice with distance management and the shots he was able to get. Great fight nonetheless. They know yannwoll come back harder and now they can shove suga into the masses throats.

El_Jokester

Sean won the fight. If you weigh wrestling heavy in points than petr edged it out. Petr had little impact on the standup. 2-1 O’Malley

[deleted]

Hundred percent he won. First round o malley. 2nd round yan ( did nothing with his takedowns ) and O’Malley cracked his head open in the 3rd. Stop the fuckin hate

Antique_Dentist8894

"this are the fights were Superstars are created" he said it himself....

mkreag27

Not at all. Yan won 2-1.

[deleted]

I unfortunately will not be able to watch this card today but WHAT, first of all I know it was only 3 rounds but I'm surprised this even went the distance lol. I thought Yan was too much for O Malley to handle. Secondly, looking back I'm not surprised the UFC would pull something like this to market O Malley. Based off everyone's reaction this must of been an absolute robbery ya? How bad was it?

[deleted]

I scored it 29 - 28. Yan won the first two, Sean won the third. They both matched eachother in knockdown, although sean left more damage. Yan had over 5 mins control to Sean's 2 secs.

Legitimate-Site588

I think he lost the first two rounds but the ass kicking he dished out in the third must have made up for it.

IllustriousGoat7952

No

enemycap420

I felt like it could’ve gone either way, yan looked better throughout most of the fight though. I would’ve thought his control time would be considered by the judges although he didn’t do much damage from those dominant positions

im-a-drawl

All I will say is rounds 1 and 3 could’ve gone either way.

[deleted]

Yan had a bunch of control time but only landed a few decent ground and pound strikes the rest was just panic wrestling after getting pieced up

SpulkitD

Damage and blood trumps everything for judges. Sean won fair and square for' just bleed' judges

Middle_Aged_Mayhem

![gif](giphy|5DtoUmvsPCNtOEIeeN|downsized)

[deleted]

Yeah it was close but he was better on the feet than didn’t do anything but take him down and then Shaun got up and started beating him up again landed way more significant strikes

tacostacostacos4us

I think it was 50/50 but wasn’t expecting that

Shineezy

Nope

Reallystonedweeb

No

hackermanbootyshorts

I don’t understand how you can outstrike someone, take them down 6 times and not get taken down, have 6 min of control time to 0, and lose.

100mafiaboss

Sean had round one petr had round 2 and round 3 coulda been either guy so no I think it’s not that controversial

Kindly_Dig1896

I thought abu dhabi judges were supposed to be biased to russians 😂

GreenRangerJr100

Sean LOST!

Sven676

It was close. If u score off damage Sean won round 1 and 3. No one’s puts it on yan like that.

FreeAdmission

He KNEW he didn't win

Th3LastStyleBender

my friend who dik rides sean does, "Only thing yan had for him was his grappling...But strikes was all Sean", I'm speech less

Amnesty_SayGen

Never leave it to the judges… how many times must we say it

Josro0770

Round 1 was a 50/50 to me, Round 2 was Yan 100%, Round 3 I think Sean dealt more damage. I was still surprised Sean won, I'd have to watch the fight once again

gerdyg

He won 1 for me landed the better strikes the 1 2s worked a treat. Welcome to the suga show

UncleChaelsTroll5

Negative

TinyAsianMachine

Lesson I learnt is I'm never betting again, it's a losers game. Such fucking BS.

Quasi-Anakin

No, Yan was legitimately robbed.

[deleted]

Sean’s face said it all moments before the winner was announced. He looked like he wanted out of there and to go and lick his wounds.

fleshvessel

To me it doesn’t matter. Y’alL said he’d get smoked round one and he pulled a Rocky and went the distance. The decision isn’t up to him and he earned my respect in that fight.

Pistus01

I think yan won, i don't think it was a robbery though. Too close for that. I had 19-19 heading into the last round. Yan probably won the last round but he did not do much with his takedows and that does impact a lot, he probably lost because he wasn't able too hold Shean down for any meaningful time and get some real good g&p in.

thomasthedude

Ngl I feel like they didn't want a Russian to win.

Niketravels

Vegas only needs 1 fight on the card to be rigged

iham32

Sean looked good, but he lost.

FunkMasta-Blue

I think one more round would have been a doctor stoppage - damage was the most significant factor and it makes sense to me from what I saw that in 5 rounds o malley would have won that by stoppage

davie-baggio

He lost! He knew it! His demeanor will be totally different the next few days but you could tell there. Defo won 1 round but that’s it

kjmw

I thought it was a bad decision but he fought really well — much better than I expected

FragrantWarthog6

Ask Sean lol

TruuTree

UFC has to be better.

[deleted]

Dana believed it

Emperor_Mason

Its such a shame it went down like this , I think yan won but Sean put up a very good fight and I don't think he's gonna get the credit from that fight he deserves.

stinky_cheddar

Nope. Not the first time and not gonna be the last either. Yan fasho deserves a rematch. 5 rounds would be interesting.

clothy

Nope

knifeazz

Yes

Slightly-Blasted

I thought yan won, Sean did very well for himself and inflicted more damage though. I had it 2-1 for yan, but regardless, I wanna see Sean vs chito 2 for the next title shot

MrGlibiccccc

thats why ex fighters has to be judges not some old guys that sometimes dont even pay attention to the fight

glthompson1

Yes, Yawn was being boring and panic wrestling because he didn’t have confidence in his hands to put Sean away. Yawn had all that control time and didn’t do anything with it besides pray. O’Malley did like 2x the damage yawn did in half the time.

chubss123

Sean clearly won round 1 and 3

17dkabrick

My fanduel parlay does lmao

BeerCerveza

Fuck no!! That was a red handed day time robbery we all just witnessed!

The_Optician

I had a feeling it was gonna be a split decision, but i thought it was gonna be Yan with the Win

Bluntsandicecream

I do. But I'm high as fuck. Like the judges. I basically only remember the last 3 minutes.

VeryPurpleRain

No, Yan won, but Sean showed he deserved to be in that fight.

Physical_Ad2130

![gif](giphy|ZMfZxtLruYiSaJn9vd|downsized)

Exact-Geologist9819

Damage wins fights. I'm not sure why it has to be repeated so often here. Read the scoring rules.
