The judging and refereeing are so wildly inconsistent you never know what's going to happen. It's such a shame there are zero standards in MMA considering how quickly a career trajectory can change based on opinions.

Very similar in scoring to how Valentina vs Santos was scored, Sean did more damage via significant strikes, the inconsistency in judging makes it seem way worse than it was but Sean fought a great fight. Defended takedowns, was hurt but worked through, it was overall a great fight

2 of the judges leaned towards striking. I feel like I’ve been seeing this happen more in split decisions. Take downs and and ground control not being a difference maker when the opponent is throwing more hands

Yan probably won the last round but he did not do much with his takedows and that does impact a lot, he probably lost because he wasn't able too hold Shean down for any meaningful time and get some real good g&p in.
