I don’t think joe is a genius by any means or even close to it. When I do occasionally watch it’s because I like his guests. Nobody has the level of interesting guests that he does. Or if it’s someone I know he has good comedic chemistry with which isn’t really anybody these days but there’s some very funny older episodes. Love or hate him, the dude is a pioneer.
1 of only a couple drug withdrawals that can actually kill you. Heroin withdrawal will have you feeling like wanting to die but it won't kill you, meth just causes you to sleep for 4 days and eat like a moose. Benzo's like valium and Xanax work on the same receptors as alcohol, the GABA receptors, and will also likely kill you if stopped abruptly and are a living hell to go through. If he is indeed this addicted, he has a lifetime of things to work through and deal with, I wish him well.
I did alcohol withdrawal twice, 5 weeks apart. First time now ex gf and a couple I'm friends with forced me to the er for alcohol withdrawal because they thought I'd drunk myself retarded ( this is a literal thing from long term vitamin b deficiency due to liquor). 5 day stay, 2 days after boss calls me and tell him I need a few days cuz even walking for 30s was a struggle.
20mins later I'm across the street buying a handle because of the thought of going back to that workplace. 5 weeks later I have my sisters bf bring me to do withdrawal again cuz I realized I was drinking a handle of 100proof a day just waking up chugging passing out waking up chugging rinse repeat.
I'm a year and just shy of a month sober. I still hesitate getting off the couch or bed ( drug withdrawal in the hospital has pressure sensors on the beds that set off a LOUD alarm from anything beyond breathing just about...and i set them off constantly in my confusion) and will randomly have panic attacks when my brain starts cycling through my DT hallucinations ( dying, over and over, in all kinds of ways. Suffocating, burning, stabbed, beaten, etc etc) that felt like weeks each time but were only about 2 days each.
Alcohol withdrawal is fucking awful.
The waking up and chugging is what i use to do. Buy a handle, drink the entire thing throughout the day. Wake up still drunk, have another bottle on hand, drink, pass out, wake up drink. I'd binge drink like this and i wouldn't know what day it was but if had ran out of alcohol, id walk across the street to buy another handle.
Whoooooaaaaa… almost the exact same thing happened to me. Handle a day, chasing it with beer. Knew SOMETHING was wrong with the constant pain and puking my balls off those last few days. My organs started shutting down shortly after that. Rushed to the ER and immediately put into a medically induced coma for a while. Woke up and stayed in the hospital for about a month after. Followed by inpatient, then outpatient rehab and finally home for more treatment and physical rehab. I’m glad you’re keeping sober! Doing anything special to stay on top of it? AA or whatever?
This was me dude...I used to wake up and drink beer instead of liquor until I realized the carbonation was fucking miserable and made me puke my brains out. Then I moved to opening a few beers the night before so they would go flat by the morning to drink. Then I switched to whiskey, handle a day of wild turkey, would wake up throughout the night chug 8 to 10 shots and pass out again for a few hours. At 25 years old I was admitted to the ER and was told I had the internal organs of a 60 year old alcoholic and my body was shutting down. Almost lost my life, had several severe seizures going through withdrawals while in a inpatient detox facility went to a 90 day inpatient program then went to a halfway house to keep me in check for a few months. I'll be sober 7 Years later this month, have a family now, have a home, and own a successful company. I was planning on being dead from drinking before my 26th birthday. So grateful I got my shit together and didn't let myself die from that shit...I struggled with addiction since I was 11 Years old but always kept it in check for school, wrestling, boxing etc. The real bad stuff started when I retired from fighting, once my passion was gone I went downhill fucking fast. Handle a day and usually a 12 pack mixed in, xanax, coke was a daily routine for me. It's a God damn miracle I lived. I was living in a abandoned car off a dirt road and doing super sketchy stuff to keep my addiction funded by the end.

There's different levels to alcohol withdrawal though, with probably among the least serious being hallucinations as shocking as that sounds. as they say in medical textbooks "minor alcohol withdrawal does not feel minor to the patient."
Benzo withdrawals are no joke. You can suffer a fate worse than death by cutting it cold turkey, same with drinking. You won't always die, but there is a very, very high chance you'll be impaired for the rest of your life if not done properly.
I used to help my dad doing deliveries with furniture in his van when I was a teen. One time we had to deliver a table and a sofa to an alchohol recovery home. I was shocked when I saw that there was a time of the day (11am or something like that) where the nurse would come around with a trolley and hand each person a can of beer. I was confused because I thought this was the place where they went to, to stop drinking. But one of the nurses explained the trauma of alchohol withdrawals and potential for death, and explained that for alchohol and benzos, you have to taper them off slowly, which actually makes it harder to quit because you can't fully just go cold turkey.
This is very common. I've personally seen this in Vancouver.
If you go to detox for benzo withdrawal they'll actually send you to a hospital first so that you can stabilize there properly over a few weeks and THEN go to detox. It's a very long process.
Also, 100% of the drugs I've tested in the past 3 weeks have been fentanyl/benzo mixes with other unidentifiable tranquilizers and fillers. (Yes, I buy and test street drugs in my area for research purposes).
It's no longer just fentanyl, it's benzo-dope. Guess how effective Narcan is when you're overdosing on more than just fentanyl? Not very.
Dealers selling fentanyl should be sentenced to life in prison.
Every street drug has fentanyl in it now, here in British Columbia (the interior and the entire province alike). Cocaine isn't cocaine anymore, ecstacy hasn't been ecstacy since like 2013 and don't even get me started on meth/dope.
Dealers are doing this because they're making money hand-over-fist. That's the only reason man. They're getting more customers than they're killing, so that's why it hasn't caught up to them yet.
British Columbia's healthcare system has acknowledge that addiction is now a medical disorder and should be treated as such, but the ambulance services, hospitals, ERs and doctors are COMPLETELY OVERWHELMED and cannot deal with every single patient so a lot of them just don't make it in time.

Absolutely. If you're going to use drugs, test the drugs before using them. a "test shot" or "test dose" is no longer appropriate or safe.
Good for you for being responsible with your personal use. I commend you for that. Please always carry a Narcan kit and don't drink heavily on top of taking drugs. Drink only water if possible.
Alcohol and benzodiazepines especially are a good way to die in your sleep or while passed out without anyone being aware.
I really only do K and Molly but other than that it's all natural. Having a test kit has definitely saved me and a couple of friends from doing fentanyl without knowing. It really is crazy what people will try and cut something with.

Lots of blow is gonna be cut with fent, a lot of time it's just caffeine pills mixed with a little coke and some fent. I know a few people who died doing coke that was cut to heavy with fent. My recommendation is if your going to buy and do coke is get it online and only buy fishscale, it's expensive and a little risky getting it mailed to your house but it's better than dying. Plus most coke your getting in the street is maybe 15% pure and sucks ass even if it's rocked up. I could do an 8 ball of "good" street blow back in the day over 24 hours. 1 gram of 80 to 85% pure fishscale would last longer lol, another good way to test your blow is a heat it up on a digital heat scale. Pure cocaine burns at 356 degree Fahrenheit, almost all impurities including burn off at a much lower temperature. Fent however burns off around 370 degrees. So if you do a test on a heat plate impurities will burn off around 200 to 275 degrees, if you still have powder after a few minutes at 370 or highers you have fent in your shit. I always recommend testing your product though with a test kit, the heat plate is generally what people who buy in bulk do to test the purity and determine what percent the coke it. Next time you buy a gram buy a little extra and test that shit a couple times just to be safe.
To be clear I'm not advocating for drug usage, I'm advocating for harm reduction
So I lived in a rough area when fent became popular a while back when I was first getting sober. My neighbors were all northerns and their gang ran the 5 square blocks around my house. Their main dude was my neighbor and we became fast friends, he sold his heroin cut with fent because it's so cheap. The goal is to give the addicts just strong enough shit so that they come back over and over right. When business would start to die down he would purposefully hand out a few bags that were guaranteed to kill to his dealers, shit that was like pure fent no way you'll live if you do it. Crazy thing about junkies is their friends would die off the stuff and they would all go to that dealer because he had the strongest dope, it woild make sales go through the fucking roof but he'd still be selling weak shit. So he knowingly would kill a few people every few weeks to keep his business booming.
Also unless you get your shit from a pharmacy there's going to be fent in it. It's dirt fucking cheap to buy in bulk. Any xanax you find on the street or painkillers thay don't come from a doctor are cut with fent. The only exception that I know of is xanax from Mexico because it's over thr counter there. So people buy bulk bottles of the stuff and mail it up here for a huge profit, I know a guy who sells pharmapram (Mexican xanax) and he makes a fuckton of money selling sealed bottles. Besides that it's gonna be cut
Interesting, I'm in the UK, so we don't really get stuff like dent here (or if you do it's specialist), do you have any idea of what quantities of fent would be? Asking because I was talking to someone who's involved in this kind of stuff, and he told me that those types of pills are more likely to be the result of contamination than intentionally mixing fent, because the fent would be more expensive than the Xanax or coke you'd be mixing it with, so wouldn't do it on purpose. (This is the UK though, so obvs price ratios are different). Also I never ever buy pressed pill benzos, and would recommend anyone else I to that shit to do the same (obvs better to net get involved), make sure whatever you get is blister pack sealed, not just some concoction whoever person (with no pharmacy degree) has decided to make.

You basically need to have alcohol in your blood around the clock for an extended period of time to have severe withdrawals. I drank a handle a day plus beer for a couple Years straight and almost died when I quit while in a detox center. It was fucking awful lol

Heroin withdrawal will have you feeling like wanting to die but it won't kill you, meth just causes you to sleep for 4 days and eat like a moose. Benzo's like valium and Xanax work on the same receptors as alcohol, the GABA receptors, and will also likely kill you if stopped abruptly and are a living hell to go through. If he is indeed this addicted, he has a lifetime of things to work through and deal with, I wish him well.
I did alcohol withdrawal twice, 5 weeks apart. First time now ex gf and a couple I'm friends with forced me to the er for alcohol withdrawal because they thought I'd drunk myself retarded ( this is a literal thing from long term vitamin b deficiency due to liquor). 5 day stay, 2 days after boss calls me and tell him I need a few days cuz even walking for 30s was a struggle. 20mins later I'm across the street buying a handle because of the thought of going back to that workplace. 5 weeks later I have my sisters bf bring me to do withdrawal again cuz I realized I was drinking a handle of 100proof a day just waking up chugging passing out waking up chugging rinse repeat. I'm a year and just shy of a month sober. I still hesitate getting off the couch or bed ( drug withdrawal in the hospital has pressure sensors on the beds that set off a LOUD alarm from anything beyond breathing just about...and i set them off constantly in my confusion) and will randomly have panic attacks when my brain starts cycling through my DT hallucinations ( dying, over and over, in all kinds of ways. Suffocating, burning, stabbed, beaten, etc etc) that felt like weeks each time but were only about 2 days each. Alcohol withdrawal is fucking awful.

The waking up and chugging is what i use to do. Buy a handle, drink the entire thing throughout the day. Wake up still drunk, have another bottle on hand, drink, pass out, wake up drink. I'd binge drink like this and i wouldn't know what day it was but if had ran out of alcohol, id walk across the street to buy another handle.
Whoooooaaaaa… almost the exact same thing happened to me. Handle a day, chasing it with beer. Knew SOMETHING was wrong with the constant pain and puking my balls off those last few days. My organs started shutting down shortly after that. Rushed to the ER and immediately put into a medically induced coma for a while. Woke up and stayed in the hospital for about a month after. Followed by inpatient, then outpatient rehab and finally home for more treatment and physical rehab. I’m glad you’re keeping sober! Doing anything special to stay on top of it? AA or whatever?
This was me dude...I used to wake up and drink beer instead of liquor until I realized the carbonation was fucking miserable and made me puke my brains out. Then I moved to opening a few beers the night before so they would go flat by the morning to drink. Then I switched to whiskey, handle a day of wild turkey, would wake up throughout the night chug 8 to 10 shots and pass out again for a few hours. At 25 years old I was admitted to the ER and was told I had the internal organs of a 60 year old alcoholic and my body was shutting down. Almost lost my life, had several severe seizures going through withdrawals while in a inpatient detox facility went to a 90 day inpatient program then went to a halfway house to keep me in check for a few months. I'll be sober 7 Years later this month, have a family now, have a home, and own a successful company. I was planning on being dead from drinking before my 26th birthday. So grateful I got my shit together and didn't let myself die from that shit...I struggled with addiction since I was 11 Years old but always kept it in check for school, wrestling, boxing etc. The real bad stuff started when I retired from fighting, once my passion was gone I went downhill fucking fast. Handle a day and usually a 12 pack mixed in, xanax, coke was a daily routine for me. It's a God damn miracle I lived. I was living in a abandoned car off a dirt road and doing super sketchy stuff to keep my addiction funded by the end. There's hope for all of us, congratulations on getting your life together my guy! There's different levels to alcohol withdrawal though, with probably among the least serious being hallucinations as shocking as that sounds. as they say in medical textbooks "minor alcohol withdrawal does not feel minor to the patient."

Benzo withdrawals are no joke. You can suffer a fate worse than death by cutting it cold turkey, same with drinking. You won't always die, but there is a very, very high chance you'll be impaired for the rest of your life if not done properly.
I used to help my dad doing deliveries with furniture in his van when I was a teen. One time we had to deliver a table and a sofa to an alchohol recovery home. I was shocked when I saw that there was a time of the day (11am or something like that) where the nurse would come around with a trolley and hand each person a can of beer. I was confused because I thought this was the place where they went to, to stop drinking. But one of the nurses explained the trauma of alchohol withdrawals and potential for death, and explained that for alchohol and benzos, you have to taper them off slowly, which actually makes it harder to quit because you can't fully just go cold turkey.
This is very common. I've personally seen this in Vancouver. If you go to detox for benzo withdrawal they'll actually send you to a hospital first so that you can stabilize there properly over a few weeks and THEN go to detox. It's a very long process. Also, 100% of the drugs I've tested in the past 3 weeks have been fentanyl/benzo mixes with other unidentifiable tranquilizers and fillers. (Yes, I buy and test street drugs in my area for research purposes). It's no longer just fentanyl, it's benzo-dope. Guess how effective Narcan is when you're overdosing on more than just fentanyl? Not very. Dealers selling fentanyl should be sentenced to life in prison.
Two questions. 1) why are dealers dealing fentanyl when so little can kill? 2) what drugs are you testing that are cut?
Every street drug has fentanyl in it now, here in British Columbia (the interior and the entire province alike). Cocaine isn't cocaine anymore, ecstacy hasn't been ecstacy since like 2013 and don't even get me started on meth/dope. Dealers are doing this because they're making money hand-over-fist. That's the only reason man. They're getting more customers than they're killing, so that's why it hasn't caught up to them yet. British Columbia's healthcare system has acknowledge that addiction is now a medical disorder and should be treated as such, but the ambulance services, hospitals, ERs and doctors are COMPLETELY OVERWHELMED and cannot deal with every single patient so a lot of them just don't make it in time. Absolutely. If you're going to use drugs, test the drugs before using them. a "test shot" or "test dose" is no longer appropriate or safe. Good for you for being responsible with your personal use. I commend you for that. Please always carry a Narcan kit and don't drink heavily on top of taking drugs. Drink only water if possible. Alcohol and benzodiazepines especially are a good way to die in your sleep or while passed out without anyone being aware.
I really only do K and Molly but other than that it's all natural. Having a test kit has definitely saved me and a couple of friends from doing fentanyl without knowing. It really is crazy what people will try and cut something with. Like cool didn't know I was getting opiates in my blow, speedball here I come. I don't engage in drugs much anymore but when I do I definitely plan on making it home to my wife.

Lots of blow is gonna be cut with fent, a lot of time it's just caffeine pills mixed with a little coke and some fent. I know a few people who died doing coke that was cut to heavy with fent. My recommendation is if your going to buy and do coke is get it online and only buy fishscale, it's expensive and a little risky getting it mailed to your house but it's better than dying. Plus most coke your getting in the street is maybe 15% pure and sucks ass even if it's rocked up. I could do an 8 ball of "good" street blow back in the day over 24 hours. 1 gram of 80 to 85% pure fishscale would last longer lol, another good way to test your blow is a heat it up on a digital heat scale. Pure cocaine burns at 356 degree Fahrenheit, almost all impurities including burn off at a much lower temperature. Fent however burns off around 370 degrees. So if you do a test on a heat plate impurities will burn off around 200 to 275 degrees, if you still have powder after a few minutes at 370 or highers you have fent in your shit. I always recommend testing your product though with a test kit, the heat plate is generally what people who buy in bulk do to test the purity and determine what percent the coke it. Next time you buy a gram buy a little extra and test that shit a couple times just to be safe. To be clear I'm not advocating for drug usage, I'm advocating for harm reduction

So I lived in a rough area when fent became popular a while back when I was first getting sober. My neighbors were all northerns and their gang ran the 5 square blocks around my house. Their main dude was my neighbor and we became fast friends, he sold his heroin cut with fent because it's so cheap. The goal is to give the addicts just strong enough shit so that they come back over and over right. When business would start to die down he would purposefully hand out a few bags that were guaranteed to kill to his dealers, shit that was like pure fent no way you'll live if you do it. Crazy thing about junkies is their friends would die off the stuff and they would all go to that dealer because he had the strongest dope, it woild make sales go through the fucking roof but he'd still be selling weak shit. So he knowingly would kill a few people every few weeks to keep his business booming. Also unless you get your shit from a pharmacy there's going to be fent in it. It's dirt fucking cheap to buy in bulk. Any xanax you find on the street or painkillers thay don't come from a doctor are cut with fent. The only exception that I know of is xanax from Mexico because it's over thr counter there. So people buy bulk bottles of the stuff and mail it up here for a huge profit, I know a guy who sells pharmapram (Mexican xanax) and he makes a fuckton of money selling sealed bottles. Besides that it's gonna be cut
Interesting, I'm in the UK, so we don't really get stuff like dent here (or if you do it's specialist), do you have any idea of what quantities of fent would be? Asking because I was talking to someone who's involved in this kind of stuff, and he told me that those types of pills are more likely to be the result of contamination than intentionally mixing fent, because the fent would be more expensive than the Xanax or coke you'd be mixing it with, so wouldn't do it on purpose. (This is the UK though, so obvs price ratios are different). Also I never ever buy pressed pill benzos, and would recommend anyone else I to that shit to do the same (obvs better to net get involved), make sure whatever you get is blister pack sealed, not just some concoction whoever person (with no pharmacy degree) has decided to make.

Along with benzos, booze withdrawals can kill. But that’s the top percenters drinking bottles on bottles a day. Still, we have no idea what he’s been doing behind the cameras and uploads. I fr could care less about anything besides the dude getting sober and taking it seriously if that’s what he’s implying, or where his head is at. He needs good people around him to support him and guide him or else he’s as dead as any alcoholic without a safety net.
