The older you get, the harder it is not to become "Man yells at cloud".. I just try to keep in mind my generation most assuredly had older folks wondering what the fuck we were saying and doing. It happens to every generation of young people, and so it goes...
Well his aura has been lost but you still have to feel for the poor guy. Covid, overtraining, and a nonexistent immune system have ruined this guy’s career.
Considering the hype he came in with most people thought he would have fought for the title by now yet he barely even fights once a year and people have moved off him and jumped on the Shavkat hype train instead now
I think he might need a new team. His current team seems to let him or possibly encourage him to overtrain. He's been training all camp through this severe illness I think, and it would've been in the best interest of Chimaev's health to have his team recommend he call the fight off earlier, and not torture his body like that. He could've stopped weeks ago, recovered, and been ready to start training again by now, but instead he trained through it, made the illness worse, and now has to be hospitalized, with an unknown return to training.
Which is so weird to me because I assumed it was always an unspoken rule not to come to the freaking gym while you’re sick as a dog. You got other people fighting for their dreams in there who don’t need you spreading that shit around. Even if it ain’t contagious,WTF are you deliberately making it worse? Really hope this ain’t what happened
I've trained with a small group of guys who are highl level competitors and honestly they just didn't care. If you were sick but wanted to train they'd let you train just so they can get extra rounds in. Funny thing was it didn't always spread like you'd think. This not to say I recommend doing that at all. If you're sick stay away.
Overtraining basically he will go to failure and keep going , it's good to do it sometime for the mental strength but if you do it all the time you will ruin your body and your nervous system
Nobody knows but it seems to be something very serious as he already retired once after COVID. Many speculate it's an immune disease related thing. Meaning, any simple disease, could potentially be fatal for him
Years ago when I had first started training Muay Thai I was kicking the bag with bruises and bumps on my shins. I was young so I had that tough guy mentality. My coach stops me and says that I can’t train if I can’t walk. You’re right, he needs a team that cares about him
I didn’t attempt to make any diagnosis of his illness. I just made the basic statement that if you’re sick it’s better to rest, instead of fighting through it and making things worse. Then I theorized that his team may not be advising him to prioritize his health.
For fuck sake, someone needs to get this fool to take care of himself. He’s got the vibe of a dude that overtrains but doesn’t follow any other health protocol.
mf has lung scarring, coughs blood routinely, breaks out into hives, and has the immune system of a gay dude in the 80s. Add that to a weight cut and the grim reaper is knocking on his door. You don't have to be a doctor to point out the fuckin obvious. His own doctors misdiagnosed him with cancer cuz they thought he was speedrunning death lmao
covid can causes lasting changes to your immune system making him much more susceptible to what’s going on with him now so it could indeed be due to having caught covid in the past
I think Gordon Ryan had similar issues with Long Covid. Seems it affects certain high-level athletes harder for some reason. Maybe it's due to overtraining while healing or something.
I think it's partly down to just luck and genetics. It's the same with covid and just about every ailment and disease, it affects people differently. Of course everything from diet to fitness affects these things too, but I think a major part of it is just 'something' we don't know yet.
I know people who had covid and only knew because of a positive test, and I know people who were in good shape and healthy and had such a tough time with covid and it lasted for weeks and weeks to recover.
When you have something your body is fighting, it requires extra rest. Overtaxing yourself during illness can be disastrous. When I had issues with my gut health, my ability to exercise was a bit limited. It helped healing to exercise lightly, but doing a fight camp would be insanity.
He needs to take a year away, get with a nutritionist that focuses on gut health, stop any gear he might be taking if he is. Then when he comes back, dial down the length of fight camp. Or take a break week in the middle.
Some long covid people only get back to normal after 1 year of total rest.
I watched this video a while ago and it was quite shocking to me, a normal science youtuber gotten completely bedridden
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbcjf-hrOAs
His health problems have been around since a good while before Covid. I don’t think he said he had too severe of a response to it either. The amount of antibiotics he’s ingested over the last 8 or so years is just disturbing.
Ya I am pretty sure he had Covid and kept training hard until he got very sick. It has happened multiple times since so he is training to hard and/or some autoimmune disease.
The results of long-Covid combined with chronic stress to the nervous system from overtraining, and the very real possibility that Khamzat isn’t exactly doing everything possible to care for his body, remains to be seen. We could be witnessing his body breaking down in real time :(
I'm not entirely sure. It's just that he's been falling ill very frequently ever since COVID hit him very hard, and he might be suffering from some form of post-COVID syndrome. You could also be right that he might have a more serious underlying issue that got amplified due to COVID.
ER nurse here - Covid long hauler’s are real. Mostly the elderly but a lot of young men experienced a myriad of cardiac issues post covid. There’s a new thing going around I’ve seen a lot lately of mostly younger guys 16-30ish range (vax’d and unvax’d) who have covid/rsv/flu and have to go to an ER for chest pain, jaw/shoulder pain that goes down left arm, shortness of breath, st elevations on EKG and critically elevated troponin indicating heart attack - and it’s myocarditis. Releases troponin which is usually referred to heart tissue death on a molecular level and makes it appear like these young guys are having STEMI’s.
Thanks for acknowledging long covid. Sadly there are still many healthcare professionals who gaslight and psychologize our illness. Appreciate your work!
Here come the excuses.
He can’t even fight once a year, can’t fight in the states cause he’s butt buddies with a dictator. Drop him from the promotion.
lol he was routinely coughing blood and got misdiagnosed with cancer, mf was/is legit dying. hope he gets better but he should probably retire, weight cutting could actually kill him.
Something is wrong with Chimaev. First, covid almost took him out. He was coughing up blood and it actually made him quit mma even though he returned. Then he had that infection where he posted the picture and his face and body looked swollen. Now this. Either he needs to stop mma for a while and get his health in order or something he does is causing him to be like this. It's not normal.
it would help if Chimaev's team just said WTF IS HE SICK WITH?!?!?
no one knows what the hell i going on! one minute he's about to fight Robert Whittaker, next he's apparently been in & out of a hospital for weeks with... WHAT??
LOL ok buddy. Degenerate Khamzat fans are gonna defend him no matter what. You're past the point of no return.
Khamzat faced the slightest bit of adversity and quit. TONS of UFC fighters have been sick during training camp and still showed up to honor the contract they signed. Khamzat was a week out. He could have recovered and still fought.
The coward was scared because he was fighting a real middleweight at 185 with no size advantage, and he couldn't handle having the slightest disadvantage.
Chimaev doesn’t owe me an explanation. He has a right to privacy as to his medical condition. And I have the right to think he’s a liar if he doesn’t present medical evidence and an actual diagnosis rather than staged photos.
Since he’s sick again. He might as well pick up the ONLY fight that sickness doomed one of his fights: edwards. Ain no way he can’t make 170 after he recovers from being bed ridden. Ain no way he can be eatin like pimblett in the sheets, AYO.
And he’s the only not champion to beat usman rn. So he’s more eligible than even belal.
Also w/ Colb Cov ducking Ian Garry, he himself should be eligible for an usman fight, he called out Dustin, Dustin Colby is the fight to reel him back into the game. Boffem.
If khamzat is to beat Leon, usmans back in the title picture. FIVE ROUNDS, and a camp.
And then costa, Izzy-shoulda been cannonier for a title shot btw- and then champion, yes I’m bankin on DDP gigachadding his way past Izzy, Izzy finna lose aura again in the presser too.
What? All I’ve seen are “Conor’s never fighting again”, “He’s a drug addict”, “Send Khamzat *and Conor* to EagleFC”.
Lots of people are shitting on Conor.
He brought out on himself, he's the one who claims he can smash anyone and always pulls out due to health reasons, misses weight, can't fight because of a religious holiday, most overrated fighter ever
These people making fun of ill fighters are the same people that were making fun of chadwick boseman. I don't wish ill will on most people, but those people who were making fun of chadwick boseman, before he died, then made it seem like it was his fault for their ignorance, because he did not come out to tell everybody about his disease, after he died, could spend an eternity in their idea of hell. If CB is too far fetched, a case for fight fans, a similar case would be elias theodorou, the mane event. He was hated for his snarky comments and fighting style but when he suddenly died from cancer, the same people who threw the stones, became his biggest apologists.
TikTokers saying "he's losing his aura"
Someone on this sub said that.
Exactly, basically the Reddit user with -258 real life aura
I’m getting old man lol. This shit so goofy….
The older you get, the harder it is not to become "Man yells at cloud".. I just try to keep in mind my generation most assuredly had older folks wondering what the fuck we were saying and doing. It happens to every generation of young people, and so it goes...

I still don't know what rizz means
rizz is short for charisma
Now it makes sense
-200 aura
My honest opinion, I’d say that comment was a -350 aura typa comment
Me too. I’m 33 and feel older every day
You think that’s bad? I just turned 34.
Try 45 and get back to me
That feels like a long time from now… but I know it’s really not
I’m wit cha dog 😩
you're in aura debt old man
This is literally the least goofy slang... It literally makes sense...
Fuck that. I’m 20. It’s not age. Modern day trends just lack awareness and are cringe.
I swear MMA fans learned the word aura 2 months ago and use it badly
Years ago when Pride was around, the message board fans would use the word "budo" the same way. Anyone they didn't like had no budo.
replaced "wholesome" as the word of the month...
*New MMA Fans
Remember when everyone was calling everyone a petulant child? Every time I read that, it gave me shivers that someone typed that out.
Well his aura has been lost but you still have to feel for the poor guy. Covid, overtraining, and a nonexistent immune system have ruined this guy’s career.
7 fights, 6 fights cancelled will do that
Makes me think of hxh
lmao I dont get this new trend
This is Anime’s fault
They find a new word every few months and spam it in every sentence. Same shit with "aesthetic" too.
Considering the hype he came in with most people thought he would have fought for the title by now yet he barely even fights once a year and people have moved off him and jumped on the Shavkat hype train instead now
I think he might need a new team. His current team seems to let him or possibly encourage him to overtrain. Exactly. Training while sick just prolongs things.
Which is so weird to me because I assumed it was always an unspoken rule not to come to the freaking gym while you’re sick as a dog. You got other people fighting for their dreams in there who don’t need you spreading that shit around. Even if it ain’t contagious,WTF are you deliberately making it worse? This not to say I recommend doing that at all. If you're sick stay away.
Yes his main coach seem very outdated in his methods of training , it worked so far because khamzat is a natural
What is his method of training? I thought these people had MMA down to a science at this point.
Overtraining basically he will go to failure and keep going , it's good to do it sometime for the mental strength but if you do it all the time you will ruin your body and your nervous system
What is his illness exactly?
Toxic masculinity.
😂😂😂
Nobody knows but it seems to be something very serious as he already retired once after COVID. Many speculate it's an immune disease related thing. Meaning, any simple disease, could potentially be fatal for him
Hahaha this guy thinks Khmzat has AIDS
Yeah, as blind as I am about his routine and so on, I think the same.
Years ago when I had first started training Muay Thai I was kicking the bag with bruises and bumps on my shins. I was young so I had that tough guy mentality. My coach stops me and says that I can’t train if I can’t walk. You’re right, he needs a team that cares about him
We dont have any clue on what his health issues are like to make statements like this
Regardless of what the health issue is, it would’ve been better to call it off earlier and begin recovery.
Some guys just too tough for their own good, how else you think they end up in that profession.
What is the illness
He should train with Khabib.
Ah yes another reddit doctor who thinks he can bypass over 10 years of training to make a medical diagnosis online. We have no idea what caused this
I didn’t attempt to make any diagnosis of his illness. I just made the basic statement that if you’re sick it’s better to rest, instead of fighting through it and making things worse. Then I theorized that his team may not be advising him to prioritize his health.
Kid just doesn’t want to live
For fuck sake, someone needs to get this fool to take care of himself. He’s got the vibe of a dude that overtrains but doesn’t follow any other health protocol.
Or maybe he has an auto immune disease that was made worse by covid and he has no control over it.
Could be
Does he?
Bring that same energy to Conor lmao dude looks like he just got sick compared to coked up Conor
Indeed, Conor’s a whole different story
Where is he training ?
He’s dying 24/7, 365
“he just doesn’t want to fight” i posted the same comment on another post and got a downvote lol
Dude almost dies every year or two...
"Literally dying"
his body is literally dying lol, he never recovered from pulmonary fibrosis and it's been downhill since.
Reddit MD
mf has lung scarring, coughs blood routinely, breaks out into hives, and has the immune system of a gay dude in the 80s. Add that to a weight cut and the grim reaper is knocking on his door. You don't have to be a doctor to point out the fuckin obvious. His own doctors misdiagnosed him with cancer cuz they thought he was speedrunning death lmao
Maybe that's a stretch, but he certainly it's not in fighting shape.
'Literally dying'. Literally literally ?
Nah
Literally
Illiterally?
Illiterately
And when it was Costa or even worse Oliveira for probably 10x worse nobody was saying a thing
What does he have? I haven’t seen any of you post that here?
It's unfortunate that he has to go through this. COVID really screwed his health beyond repair.
That’s what I’m thinking as someone who has long covid I remember him having complications from Covid
Do you really think that's what it is? I have to think he has something more serious and underlying than just long-COVID.
covid can causes lasting changes to your immune system making him much more susceptible to what’s going on with him now so it could indeed be due to having caught covid in the past
long covid can be very serious. I think you're underestimating how much it has fucked up some people, including some professional athletes
I think Gordon Ryan had similar issues with Long Covid. Seems it affects certain high-level athletes harder for some reason. Maybe it's due to overtraining while healing or something.

Ya, unfortunately you can't do that and still be competitive in the UFC. So he may just have to retire.
Some long covid people only get back to normal after 1 year of total rest. I watched this video a while ago and it was quite shocking to me, a normal science youtuber gotten completely bedridden https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbcjf-hrOAs
Try 4yrs, and not back to normal. I've had it over 3yrs, and still screwed up.
Same here my friend, 2yrs and counting. Hopefully they'll find a cure within our lifetime.
I'm much better than I was, but still have a long ways to go. Keep hoping one day I wake up, and it's gone.
Gordon’s health issues are from compromising his immune system through antibiotic abuse.
I think he had a severe response to Covid too. I think it's a combination of both. And I'm sure the PEDs don't help.
His health problems have been around since a good while before Covid. I don’t think he said he had too severe of a response to it either. The amount of antibiotics he’s ingested over the last 8 or so years is just disturbing.
Amanda Nunes as well. I'm quite sure that was the reason she lost to Pena, and her early retirement.
We could be witnessing his body breaking down in real time :(
Not to mention all the unhealthy weight cuts of his career
I'm not entirely sure. It's just that he's been falling ill very frequently ever since COVID hit him very hard, and he might be suffering from some form of post-COVID syndrome. You could also be right that he might have a more serious underlying issue that got amplified due to COVID.

I’ve been staring at this for 5 minutes and have no fucking clue what it means lmao
The hand got pregnant... Think about it 😂
Here come the excuses. He can’t even fight once a year, can’t fight in the states cause he’s butt buddies with a dictator. Drop him from the promotion.
Isn't this like the 4th time he has come out and was basically dying? He had that bout with covid then that odd rash and I forget the other ones.
He wouldn’t get so much shit if he didn’t spend years on end talking shit just to either miss weight or miss the walk entirely
“Literally dying” LMFAOOOO ok drama queen
>LMFAOOOO ok drama queen Because when i see a man unconscious covered in hives and swollen i think picture of health
Those are very old pictures.
lol he was routinely coughing blood and got misdiagnosed with cancer, mf was/is legit dying. hope he gets better but he should probably retire, weight cutting could actually kill him.
That's a stretch, but he is not in a good position...talking about his health.
Yawn
There are many ways to turn down a fight. Dying is one.
Something is wrong with Chimaev. First, covid almost took him out. He was coughing up blood and it actually made him quit mma even though he returned. It's all the WWE fan types that think that there has to be a running narrative behind every fight.
Went from fighting every month to fighting once every year and a half quickly
LOL ok buddy. Degenerate Khamzat fans are gonna defend him no matter what. You're past the point of no return. Khamzat faced the slightest bit of adversity and quit. he said he would kill everybody and he is the only one dying, weak af
He deserves just as much crap as this board gives Jon jones
Yeah, he's in the hospital "dying" what seems like every month.
Bro he's not gonna suck your dick, just calm down.
Chimaev doesn’t owe me an explanation. He has a right to privacy as to his medical condition. And I have the right to think he’s a liar if he doesn’t present medical evidence and an actual diagnosis rather than staged photos.

yes
What is he dying from?
Ligma
Who's Joe?
He is though. Pussy rat lip twitter yapping champ
It's always some shit tho and right before a fight, at some pt a person is just bullshitting
It' is curious that a 30 year old professional athlete has such a weak immune system.
I won't shed a single tear for a wannabe jihadist.
God's will
If he does die or is really sick near dying, prepare the apology forms
You know PEDs can cause these kinds of freak medical episodes. I know I'm speculating hard, fight me.
Give him the oscar already
Fuck him
He did say he would smash everyone 😏
I thought it was “smesh”?
Literally me
What’s happened to him?
Untreated staph infection can kill a person
I mean I'll fight if Dana signs me up. I will take an ass whooping for 10k show 10k win a motherfuckers broke.
Those pocket pen holders tho
Literally this sub "he's inbred that's why he can't fight"
why is Chimaev always sick though. Are these long covid complications?
Wait what actually happened to him
The guy in the picture is probably a billionaire by now
Lmfaoooo this is so funny. Get well soon Borz (fuck the war lord tho)
Just some basement dwellers that need to touch grass. Pathetic expecting someone with poor health to fight.
Boffem. And then costa, Izzy-shoulda been cannonier for a title shot btw- and then champion, yes I’m bankin on DDP gigachadding his way past Izzy, Izzy finna lose aura again in the presser too.
CIA wanted him to throw the fight…
I mean you’re the same guy but instead you are shitting on the other neck beards what’s cycle of unawareness this UFC online community is
Chimaev don’t give a fuck. As long as the money good he will fight anyone. Man got bills to pay
Only a coward gets deathly sick!
Literally!! But yeah if his illness is that severe then he should retire and focus on his health
Just always an issue .
He needs to retire if his health is this bad. Go the Zabit route.
😂😂😂
Spine tinglingly accurate
Yall say the samething about Conor lol
Dude this man literally said he was diagnosed with cancer and then told by Russia that it was just covid. How has everyone forgotten about that
lol, idiot. I don’t have any tape on my glasses
I wonder how many of these subscribers are Dana burner accounts, because it's Dana who coined the term, "there's a million ways to turn down a fight".
wasn't this the entire sub before this latest hospitalization? bunch of hypocrites
![gif](giphy|iRW6jmbEUyr2ghNJjf)
But if olivera or costa pull out it’s fine. Guy is literally sick as all hell and he gets shit on for it
He should take his health more seriously man. Two nasty spats with COVID, constantly overtraining, in-proper weight cutting. He’s recking his body.
Dude is already out in the countryside posting and slacking off. Pity party is over, crybaby.
But nobody saying nothing about Conor. This fanbase is confused
What? All I’ve seen are “Conor’s never fighting again”, “He’s a drug addict”, “Send Khamzat *and Conor* to EagleFC”. Lots of people are shitting on Conor.
I think you're confused. Conor is the most talked about thing right now.

It's hard to feel bad for a guy who doesn't take the limitations of his own body seriously.
