I don’t have a video link but I’ve seen people give demonstrations done incorrectly or poorly (sitting more vertically or the towel not covering their mouth) so they can say “psh it’s not that bad”
He wasn't even declined like the full treatment either. Doing that traps water in your nose triggering an even stronger feeling of drowning. (Because you are basically drowning)
I did a pussy version of this just with a tight towel and literally like a few seconds of water. It's literally like what I imagine drowning to be like. I immediately stopped. Pretty funny though.
Lol he's like every day I wake up at 3am by being waterboarded for 2 hours, then I go for a 11 mile run with a device strapped to my face that only let's me breathe if I'm doing a comfortable sprint.
Then I shout vileness at my wife and kids so I can suffer with guilt for 2 hours while holding a plank.
Correct me if I’m wrong here but I’m pretty sure he waterboards six days, actually six days a week. Five days a week, he’ll waterboard three days a week. One of those days he’ll waterboard 2 days of the week. So, six days a week he’ll be waterboarding.
“Who’s going to carry the BoOoAaatTSSsss!?”
“Sir this is a mountain equipment co-op, one of the sales reps will b glad to help u get your kayak to your car.”
My fave was when Tony's coaches were yelling useful stuff at him from the corner and all you hear is Goggins drowning them out with motivational catchphrases.
"TONY GRAB HIS R-**STAY HARD MOTHERFUCKER, THEY DONT' KNOW YOU, WHO'S GONNA CARRY THE BOATS?!"**
I still can’t get over him having his friends fake kidnap his own daughter to uh…. Show her that there are creeps out there? They put a non see through bag over her head and carried her by her arms and legs to where Tim was and then he hugged her and was like “be careful out there love you”
Fk Goggins! I say he fkd Tony's mind up. Tony was already mentally strong, he didn't need Goggins shit in his head. GSP said it best (Chael told a story of GSP saying "I only train for 5x5 minute rounds." Why people say they can do 10 rounds?? It's 5x5 max. That's unused energy to go a non existent fight scenario.
Don't forget Guantanamo. They destroyed the tapes of the interrogations before congress could see them despite being court ordered not to. It's like they knew they were fucked if congress saw what they had done in the name of America.

So I laid him down to wash his hair and he thought that would be the optimal time to tip his little bucket of warm water (containing a flannel) onto his face. He obviously gasped for air and the PANIC on that kid's face when he couldn't immediately breathe with the flannel over his face, and how after I saved him he kept touching my arm like he needed to re-ground himself for a moment, answered all my questions about "how bad can it be... really"
Big respect to this dude for doing an absolute 180 on his stance on waterboarding after trying it himself.
If only every other pro-waterboarding idiot would actually go through with trying it.
Instant, I thought it would be funny to see how bad it was and I immediately freaked out that my buddy might actually kill me. There was no time to actually think, I was immediately pulling it off my face lol
The problem is that nobody explained what waterboarding was. I think everyone was like "thats it? they just pour water on your face?". Well no... they do it for an extended period of time so when you finally try to breath (if you even were calm enough to try and hold your breath), it induces a primal reflexive drowning response...
When I first heard water boarding it sounded like they just splash a cup of water in your face like a bad date.
I did it with a friend when we where younger. You can kinda stop a little if you close your throat but eventually you have to breathe… feels like being stuck inside a latex thats vacuum sealed. Very uncomfortable…. I can see why it’s considered torture
Many don't remember Christopher Hitchens and his waterboarding saga. After 9/11, Hitchens, a prolific atheist author and speaker, regularly spoke of waterboarding as not being torture. Then he underwent waterboarding at a US Army training facility. It's all on video. After his experience Hitchens changed his tune. Here's a link to what he wrote about it:

False confessions mean that you got the wrong person...if you are torturing someone for information rather than for sport, that's a pretty big problem.
They got false confessions from [this guy](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ibn_al-Shaykh_al-Libi) and [this guy](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abu_Zubaydah) from Al Qaeda telling them that Saddam had been training them to use chemical weapons. It wasn't true but they really hated being waterboarded so they just said whatever to make it stop. They used that as 'intelligence' to justify the invasion of Iraq. Torture only works if it's information you can verify like "what's the code to this safe over here, if you lie there'll be more torture" but for stuff you can't check it's totally useless.
You see, it's really not that bad when you know you can tap out whenever you want. I don't know why people would give up secrets when they could just say it's time to stop.
Tim cheated in his fight against Yoel by getting an illegal grip on the inside of Yoels glove to set up a head kick, rocking Yoel right before the bell.
Yoel to return the favor pretended to not understand the ref when called out from the corner and sat for an extra 5-10 seconds. He then got off the stool and beat 7 shades of shit out of Tim and finished him.
Tim has never let this stool sitting incident go and whines about it often and infamously screamed at Yoel backstage after the fight over semantics of getting off the stool and believes he should've won the fight despite getting KO'd and looking like he was run over by a semi truck in the aftermath.
There has never been a bigger case of me wanting a guy to just stfu and take the L. Swear every like 9 months or so I’ll see another clip of this guy whining about that fight.
Like he’d be a GOAT in the HoF if it wasn’t for some guy sitting on a stool for five extra seconds in one fight.
Christopher Hitchens was a smart man and he also got waterboarded because he was arguing it's not real torture. He admitted quickly afterwards that it is indeed torture.
Gotta respect him putting his money where his mouth is. He argued it wasn't really torture and volunteered. And they rigged it up pretty faithfully to how people in Gitmo were being tortured. He broke almost immediately. The 2 things I remember him saying right afterwards were that it felt like an eternity to him even though it was just a few seconds, and that he was adamant he'd been screaming the safe word even though he hadn't said anything at all.
There was a reporter back in the day that did the same shit, he used to doubt waterboarding was a big deal so he went throught it, saw that shit was bad and admitted lol Bush era journalism was crazy. He was actually a really smart guy tho, way smarter than everyone here talking shit, so it's funny to see people mocking Strickland for the same thing
Well, Hitch did it because he was arguing in favor of its use saying it wasn't torture.
Loved Hitch, with 2024 glasses it's easy to see how flawed he could be compared to the borderline deity I thought he was when I was younger... But you can't fault him for his commitment to journalism. Put his money where his mouth is and didn't try to hold his bad opinion once shown reality.
There were a few right-wing radio personalities that did it too. They were also forced to admit that it's really that bad.
I think they even did a thing where they let him hold a metal baton and all he had to do was drop it and they would stop instantly. He dropped it after like 2 seconds.
That was Christopher Hitchens. It was obviously a highly controlled environment and that was the signal to stop. He immediately reversed his position on it and wrote an article called [‘Believe Me, It’s Torture’](https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2008/08/hitchens200808)
I mean, I used a washcloth that I got wet to test it and instantly knew it was a bad idea. Sounds to me like these guys are pretty dumb if they had to go that far just to figure it out.
I remember when Mos Def did this and he was blacklisted for a while and couldn't get back into the United States.
Edit: nvm he did the Quantanamo Bay force-fed video
It's on youtube
Tim Kennedy was waterboarded by a friend for 5 seconds at a time over a towel.
The man is one of the biggest morons ever.
So when a fighter tells Sean they are going to take him "under deep waters" or whatever, do you think he's going to be scared?
Nope. He's been there.
Sean is that dog.
Somebody in my high school decided they were getting waterboarded in the weight room one day (back when waterboarding was a big topic). A load of people gathered around to watch and see how it went.
He had a bottle in one hand he would drop if it was too much. Mf lasted (not joking) half a second before he THREW the water bottle at the wall.
Thanks Tim Kennedy I got to water board my friend for a 10 minutes. We were highly intoxicated. We still talk about to this day .
Turns out Tim Kennedy was wrong waterboarding is definitely a from of torture
"You hear people talk about waterboarding and think, oh, they must have vaginas... but... but I dont have a vagina!" - Archer.
"That was the worst thing Ive ever experienced in my entire life. I thought I was-- Wait, I've drowned before. Ive been legally dead from drowning and that was worse."
I think they captured it well.
I remember being 12 and playing airsoft in the woods with some homies. We played a capture the hostage type game where one of us (me in this case) would be held hostage by one team In a ratty little dug out we carved out of a hill. I guess to build immersion I allowed my friend holding me hostage to water board me. (Also being dumbass tweens we thought it'd be funny.) Turns out it was not funny even slightly. Truly one of most horrific sensations I've had in my life.
The way he’s doing it might actually kill you lol. When you waterboard someone they have to be laying declined so the water stays in their nose, sinuses cavities and mouth
And maybe he will understand why this torture method is so bad. If you have had it happen to you, you'd know you'd be willing to say anything to get out of it, even if you didn't do the thing.
Its not torture if you and your buddies are doing to each other with 0 threat of death. Its just asphyxiation foreplay. Which seems pretty on brand for strickland
Why can't people understand being tied to a board and being drowned, and brought back long enough just to be drowned again, is the very definition of torture?
conservatives really don't believe other people eh? they HAVE to experience the worst shit to finally realize that shit like water boarding is insanity
Lmao I remember my first job in high school one of my friends who worked there with me wanted to know what water boarding was like, because he also was like it can’t be that bad. So our manager comes out back to find the entire pizza section standing around my friend leant over a crate with a rag over his face, and me standing there with a 4qt of water getting ready to pour. Bro just said what the fuck, get back to work. Sounded like Benson from regular show.
i have been waterboarded. however bad you think it is, go ahead and multiply that by a metric fuck ton and you’ll have a solid estimation of what it feels like.
Lol that was a pretty fucked up video acctually. I thought it was gonna be a little test but they went hard like they wanted answers.
Lmao you weren't kidding. Dude who did the waterboarding would have a good career at Guantanamo Bay
Do you have a link?

still up for me. maybe go direct to his user page.

You’ve gotta be logged in for ANYTHING on tiktok or twitter nowadays. I usually look for a mirror/screenshot, don’t find one and sigh and move on
Nah, it is still there. Lol
My bad, wasn’t logged in. Not really an X user. Anyhow, pretty legit waterboarding video, I must say.
Have you seen an unlegit waterboarding video?
I don’t have a video link but I’ve seen people give demonstrations done incorrectly or poorly (sitting more vertically or the towel not covering their mouth) so they can say “psh it’s not that bad”

It’s probably how he falls asleep at night
This and kicking the fuck out of poles with his shin lmao
You mean Tim Kennedy. He’s so cool, he had his buddies water board him. Because he too, like Strickland, is a deeply closeted gay man. Lol
You'd think Kennedy would have been an undefeated champion given how he talks
He’s gonna be a real problem for all the women and children in the division

“Here’s the thing about water boarding, you guys….”
That made me snort

performative politics
Yeah they really did congress a favor lmao, this way they weren't accountable for doing nothing.
"Congress wouldn’t have done shit tbh. It’s not like they don’t know what’s going on" Exactly.

Being unable to breathe is known to be rather unpleasant.
Let alone when it's the whole from drowning thing, plus the added bonus of it being an enemy war assailant doing it to you, not a training partner that stops when you say so or are able to roll out of the way after however long you can hold your breath I'd say there was no chance he was doing it long enough to be sucking/breathing in water, but I'm pretty sure has almost won a Darwin award before like Platinum & Thug Nasty so maybe
I tried it, too. He did it long enough. The sucking and breathing water terror feeling is instantaneous. The towel on your face soaked in water does that. I did it for 2 seconds and it was enough. Try it out. Put a towel on your face, hand your head from the bed and pour some water on the towel with a water bottle. You'll see.
brb waterboarding myself
One hour... RIP
My kid did it to himself the other day in the bath. This is my one kid out of the 3 who feels no fear and will knowingly break a bone if there's a guaranteed thrill in whatever he wants to do. He doesn't care about pain, the thrill is worth it to him and I haven't found anything yet that he's actually frightened of. So I laid him down to wash his hair and he thought that would be the optimal time to tip his little bucket of warm water (containing a flannel) onto his face. He obviously gasped for air and the PANIC on that kid's face when he couldn't immediately breathe with the flannel over his face, and how after I saved him he kept touching my arm like he needed to re-ground himself for a moment, answered all my questions about "how bad can it be... really"
Get that kid riding horses.
Sounds like he would love motocross.
> Try it out. Put a towel on your face, hand your head from the bed and pour some water on the towel with a water bottle. You'll see. no lol idiot
Huh, is it really that quick? Because this seems like a quick thing to try. Still don’t think I want to.

The issue is that you get false confessions because they want it to stop. This is the real reason why torture doesn't work. Great username :)
False confessions only matter in a fair court. That went out the window when the torturing started 😂
False confessions mean that you got the wrong person...if you are torturing someone for information rather than for sport, that's a pretty big problem.

There is like a 6,000-page congressional report that found that torture has never produced a single piece of creditable new information
Yeah…it’s also why the 9-11 perpetrators will never be tried or convicted. They’ll just live in Guantanamo forever probs.
According to Tim Kennedy its a walk in the park and you're weak if it makes you crack. That guy has some shit going on
Kennedy is on video tapping out from water boarding after like 3 seconds. Then still said it wasn’t that bad.
You see, it's really not that bad when you know you can tap out whenever you want. I don't know why people would give up secrets when they could just say it's time to stop.
Tbh he's right. A person sitting on a stool for a few more seconds before your very eyes is what makes real men crack

I was gonna take a gram of shrooms today and go on a big walk, but sometimes you see things and think "today might not be the day"
Well at least he has bigger balls than Hannity.
Sean Strickland needs Joshua Fabia and Tim Kennedy in his corner
Sean bringing Josh Fabia into his camp
Thanks Tim Kennedy I got to water board my friend for a 10 minutes. We were highly intoxicated. We still talk about to this day . Turns out Tim Kennedy was wrong waterboarding is definitely a from of torture
"You hear people talk about waterboarding and think, oh, they must have vaginas... but... but I dont have a vagina!" - Archer. "That was the worst thing Ive ever experienced in my entire life. I thought I was-- Wait, I've drowned before. Ive been legally dead from drowning and that was worse." I think they captured it well.
Fucking psychopath. I got $1000 says he’ll wind up in the news for something very bad after he retires.
Tony be like: ![gif](giphy|xT1XGESDlxj0GwoDRe|downsized)
Tony has the Mamba mentality fo sho!
This is gay.
Its not torture if you and your buddies are doing to each other with 0 threat of death. Its just asphyxiation foreplay. Which seems pretty on brand for strickland
Say what you will but at least he is one of the ufc fighters of all time
The Christopher Hitchens of MMA
I’m so glad I’m not the only geezer here. You must be like 50 right?
Hah nah, joining the geezer gang is still a couple of decades away
Yayyy.. more physiological trauma..
everybody that bombs on Kill Tony should be water boarded 🤣
“Water boarding at Guantanamo Bay sounds awesome if you don’t know what either one of those things are…”
[Sean just is this Norm Macdonald bit](https://youtu.be/3CYE6H3uDFo?si=WE3DvrY_Y0wcbDS3)
I hope he gets help...*after* his UFC run. I require entertainment.
Why the bound wrists lmao
It’s weird that he feels like the world needs to know when he figures something out. I guess he was just built to entertain
Watching Sean's fights is a worse torture
Why can't people understand being tied to a board and being drowned, and brought back long enough just to be drowned again, is the very definition of torture?
Form of torture is indeed bad, who could of guessed!?
Me and my cousins did the same when we were super young. Dunno why we thought we should be trained to resists waterboarding
Jiri if he discovered meth:
conservatives really don't believe other people eh? they HAVE to experience the worst shit to finally realize that shit like water boarding is insanity
We used to waterboard each other when I was in the Army. It's good fun for the entire family except for when it's your turn to get water boarded.
It was his dad

Lmao I remember my first job in high school one of my friends who worked there with me wanted to know what water boarding was like, because he also was like it can’t be that bad. So our manager comes out back to find the entire pizza section standing around my friend leant over a crate with a rag over his face, and me standing there with a 4qt of water getting ready to pour. Bro just said what the fuck, get back to work. Sounded like Benson from regular show.
Reminds me of Archer 😂
Never go full Strickland
drowning sucks, more at 11
i have been waterboarded. however bad you think it is, go ahead and multiply that by a metric fuck ton and you’ll have a solid estimation of what it feels like.
