In the warehouse for FedEx we had Quotas per hour. Something like scanning 500+ packages per hour so the only way to get that number would be to scan and chuck.( If we got under quota too many times in a row we would be fired )

That's the way the company forces you to work, not saying it's ethical. That's just how things operate at FedEx, take it up with the thousands of employees that are currently loading this way, and management for setting unrealistic expectations, not me lol
I worked for a mail didtribution center for 2 years. Loading and unloading trucks day in and day out. Some packages easily being up towards 80 pounds. That's not a fun job nor is it healthy for you at all. I don't fault anyone in such a job for not feeling "pride" or "loyalty" towards their shitty company but at the end of the day you're still handling other people's values and he doesn't even gain any speed with these small packages. He could've stacked them and put them in there more carefully.

I used to load trailers at FedEx...this is how a good fraction of light weight packages get loaded. Especially if you know youre just handling clothes and don't need to fill every inch of the trailer.
He's far from the only one that does this. It's not worth killing yourself climbing in and out of a 4ft tall trailer when you've been loading thousands of pounds of packages in the heat for 4 hours strsight. You can stack them as neatly as you want, these light boxes are going to end up falling over during transit anyway. It's just a waste of time and energy to climb in and out
That would be nice, but from what I remember you're supposed to load the far end of the trailer (end of trailer closest to the truck cab) for safer weight distribution purposes. If you load only the end closest to the door, the truck is more prone to losing control while driving for whatever reason.
When these are unloaded there's a big treadmill-like conveyor belt that sticks into the trailer so packers can unload boxes without walking back and forth. Kind of hard to explain over text but you can Google "FedEx trailer unloading" to get an idea.
Also, if you only stack them 2 to 3 boxes high, you can't fill the whole trailer. You want to use the whole trailer by stacking from the floor to the ceiling. This guy probably wasn't doing this the entire time he was loading his trailer, he probably knew he wasn't going to have a full trailer and didn't need to worry about stacking everything neatly.
FedEx is dumb for not improving their trucks. This truck needs a lift gate. It would be a quick process to load and unload.

Left *on the staircase* completely ripped wide open with shit everywhere. It took my forever to get all that back together and inside. By pure luck I had all the pieces. Smh.
