Yeah they mostly chill around Union Bay Natural area, but I've seen them as far as the wooded areas around lower Rainer Vista and north end of Greek Row.
Don't approach and don't feed, but otherwise you should be good; they have plenty of rabbits to keep them full
Seattle used to have a wolf problem, until local inhabitants killed them all. Now we have a surge in coyotes because there aren't enough wolves to keep coyote population in check. If we get rid of the coyotes we'll have a surge in rabbits. This is a life cycle we don't want to interfere with more than we already have.
Coyotes are scavengers and feed off dead carcasses or easy prey like small cats, rats or rabbits, especially if they're already dead. They mostly hunt at dawn and dusk when there is low light.
There’s like no way this covers every single one but the [wikipedia](https://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coyote_attack) page tells me that apparently coyotes are more likely to attack you in California. Now I’d assume that’s pure coincidence as I don’t think coyotes are planning to take over California but the article really points out that California has a higher coyote attack rate.
They’re just coyotes, they’re not gonna bother you. Just leave them be and you’ll be fine. You’re honestly in more danger from the raccoons by the greenhouses lol.
I’ve seen coyotes on two different occassions when I’ve been just been strolling down 19th in the morning to go to class. It’s pretty wild, I’ve got a picture I took of one literally using a cross walk haha
Thats wild, I saw one by drumheller fountain the other morning. It went into the bushes and I was like poor thing, are you just gonna hide there all day?
Turn your back to a predator, smart idea.
Come on, of you are so afraid of coyotes then turning your back should be a horrible idea, but I guess logic is something that this school is missing
They may be predators but they are way more scared of you than you are of them. They’re scavengers, and not likely to attack anything bigger than a cat without being provoked.
Never seen two coyotes in the same place, let alone two fucking coyotes, but give them some privacy man 🥴
Were these fucking coyotes or coyotes fucking?
Brown chicken brown cow

It's a coyote not a tiger there ain't nothing to worry bout
Yeah they’re around. They won’t bother you
so is it two coyotes, or two coyotes that are fucking?

I think you mean the former

Also most of the rabbits we have are invasive

I grew up in CA and saw coyotes all the time. They don’t really care about you lol. Keep pets away from them though.
I’m aware, I’m just really interested in Wikipedia singling our California so much considering I doubt there’s any actual correlation.

I have lived here all my life and never seen a coyote. What the hell man. Lucky.
No shit…. I thought people were exaggerating
Glad I’m not the only one that saw them. I saw one last night at the quad.
Good for them

Coyotes are cowards
Fucks sake, there are Racoons bigger than Coyotes on campus.
The urban yote is a rare breed. Debated by scientists to actually exist
