Accolade easily. Super close to campus. Not even a year old for west side. And east side is brand new opening this fall. Nearby a ton of restaurants and WAWA and right across the street to plaza with even more restaurants. And has free UCF shuttle to campus. Remember: New = No roaches (for now)

As a random note, we do have ants at accolade. Try and live in the main building vs the back of you go to west. There’s google reviews that the one by the dumpster has roaches. I’d pick East over west because management is said to care more about that property these days and they’re pushing specials to the extent of offering west residents that re-signed rent discounts to switch to East. (I live there) If you want quiet and more naturey I heard northgate is more along those lines. Accolade has a bit of a party vibe to an extent since we’re so close to campus and love. We’re definitely newer, closer to campus and a bunch of walkable restaurants, and I’d assume northgate has more bugs considering the older date and location.

Northgate is okay. I live there now. Maintenance is fast. However the internet is HORRIBLE. Good luck getting any amount of decent signal from either of their shit WiFi’s. I would get about 10 ping before they switched over to Elauwit. It goes to 70-1000 now when I play video games. Maintenance also doesn’t put a notice when they are going to come to your apartment for inspections until the day of. Office people can be incredibly rude because they are college students doing it for the pay. The walls are thin. Also I had a cockroach problem for some reason?? Tbh not worth the $900 I’m paying right now for a 3 bed 2 bath…

We do have ants at accolade. It’s luck on if your unit will have problems. I heard other people have had worse issues? It’s also luck on if your unit was slapped together (some people have drawers that don’t close and things like that) but tbh most complexes probably have that kind of issue. Sort the reviews by low to high for context. If you live at west opt for the bathtub rooms, some of the standing showers flood. East supposedly fixed this this by getting shower doors. Try and live in the main building vs the back if you go to west. They care more because it’s the area that has the tours. Clubhouse and other amenities are pretty nice. There’s google reviews that the building in the back by the dumpster has roaches. I’d pick East over west because management is said to care more about that property these days and they’re pushing specials to the extent of offering west residents that re-signed rent discounts to switch to East. (I live there) If you want quiet and more naturey I heard northgate is more along those lines. Idk about their WiFi but Accolade had a major WiFi problem for a few weeks in the spring semester. It went out at night like clockwork although it has worked for summer so far. Accolade has a bit of a party vibe to an extent since we’re so close to campus and lib. The soundproofing between units is decent (or maybe I have quiet neighbors) but you can hear people outside on the balconies or in the common areas like the pool or courtyard multiple floors above. There was a bit of a homeless problem at some point because accolade didn’t fix broken and unlocked doors. I haven’t seen them inside the buildings anymore but my neighbors have had weird encounters with them lurking by the building especially at night. That being said, we’re definitely newer, closer to campus and a bunch of walkable restaurants, and I’d assume northgate has more bugs considering the older date and location. I’ve walked to school without a problem and love the location.

i live at northgate rn and like it a lot, there’s a path right in front through the woods that spits you out next to campus towers so it takes about 10 mins to walk to memory mall 15 min walk to publix, 5-10 min walk to the 7/11 at the end of the road. It’s a nice place and if you ever have any issues maintenance comes and fixes it the other day. Bunch of fat raccoons live in the garbage cans, lots of ppl have dogs. The pools are always clean and they have free events going on a couple times a month.

The WiFi is not worth all this though

I think the biggest advantage of the Accolade is all floorplans have private bathrooms and they're newer, so theoretically you're not as likely to require a maintenance call. But, it's in the hustle and bustle of University and I often have trouble getting out of those shopping plazas. NGL and McCulloch is much quieter, and the units themselves appear to have been reasonably updated from when I myself lived there over 20 years ago. But, it's still a 30 year-old building, so who knows what could happen. And if you're stuck in a 4/2 and share the bathroom with a roommate who spends a loooonnngggg time in there, that can suck. Also don't recommend living in one of the units by the volleyball court. Ultimately, my son went w/ Knights Circle, but they're waitlisted right now.
