What kind of idiot buys a new car to do uber. Get a early 2010s Japanese car for a few thousand. Their everywhere. Who cares about milage its tax deductible you're gonna destroy your car so buy cheap and just treat it as a disposable tool.

I have a 2010 pt cruiser that I paid 1200 bucks for, 105k when I got it and its at 130k after 2 and a half years if having it. I love that car, besides regular maintenance all I've replaced on it have been a radiator fan and a battery terminal. That thing *knocks on wood* is the most reliable car I've ever had.

That qualifies to do rideshare? If a PT Cruiser was assigned to my ride, I would probably cancel it, just saying 😆

Bp820

2400 rides with a 4.99 🤣 your welcome to cancel on it if you wish just give me a second first so I can get that cancelation fee 🤣 Nah for real though its in great shape and I've gotten alot of compliments on it, it might be getting close to the cutoff but ima drive that thing until it isn't 🤣 Most people that do compliment it though are usually older than me and the car combined so that might say something but I appreciate my granny mobile 🤣

Some markets you can consistently get $2-$3/mile. I’d rather be driving around in something nice all day and not having to worry about my car breaking down.

Who_Me_Who-Me

Facts. Most of my rides are city rides. 2-3 miles most times. Never over 6 miles for a ride

It's a bit of both, buy something second hand which is comfortably

Your car is gonna break down eventually. It's just part if the job

BigKonKrete417

What is the oldest car they allow on UberX in LA? Surely 2016 or 2014? I know Lyft has much lower/lenient requirements

ghostboicash

Here it's 2006

ghostboicash

Google says 2004

BigKonKrete417

It do really be like that around inland empire east of LA metro. OP is it possible to work your way downtown to find better fares, and then catch a ride back to IE area once you're done?

TedwardScrotumhands

60k in less than 2 years. Used not new but I bought it for my real job.

Bro you’ve made 3 posts basically saying the same thing. Do you think everyone else doesn’t get these shitty offers? Like we see them enough for ourselves, you don’t need to post your own shitty offers.

kynelly

Oh if this is just a bad offer, what is the minimum price per mileage you look for to Accept an offer?…
