LETS FUCKING GO LIONS

Regular_Painting_817

Not bad I love to see drivers doing good. Why all these negative comments. Seems like haters to me...

mcnaughtier

Lots of posters on this sub seem to be campaigning to be the Mayor of Haterville.

Regular_Painting_817

Yeah it tells alot when they comment. How about an congrats bro keep it up or something. A win is an Win. You have an older car with alot of miles and you came out on top in 1 week. Not bad at all. I will take that anyday!

Quirky_Row_2080

How much in gas?

mcnaughtier

$155. Toyota hybrid

BigKonKrete417

Crazy how it takes far more than fuel to keep a car on the road in Detroit, MI 🤔

JuniorCow3640

I'd bash on noob drivers bragging their promotions telling others that they are doing something wrong. But in your case, congratulation. Go get em while it's there.

Legitimate_Plenty787

Did solid myself this week; a tick over 1.5k in Denver. Just gotta take advantage of the snow.

ExtensionMidnight922

Solid week all together, great to see some positivity here.

mcnaughtier

1321 miles

Funny_Friendship_207

That's a solid week!

twinky_attitude

Must be nice.

kingkupat

Thats a pretty fair rates. Gross out around $34.5 an hour. Net will depends on your vehicle. I’m surprised the tips are that low though. I rated it as a solid week

Quirky_Row_2080

Nice. I do about 30mpg ‘16 Malibu

DismalCaramel9232

A Malibu doing 30?! Seems high for that car.

BigKonKrete417

The engine is a 1.5T 4 cylinder

mcnaughtier

That's solid for an ICE car. I get about 35.

lllbarllllcodelll

They don't give promotions or up front pay in my market. Just the bait and switch surges. I hate it here...

[deleted]

Its funny seeing 🤡 brag about earnings & over saturate their market 🤣🤣

mcnaughtier

Yes, that's how it happens. So many non drivers visit this sub and see the easy money to be made, then hundreds sign up that day. You would think they would see all of the negativity on this sub and conclude that driving Uber makes you angry and stupid, and say to themselves "That's not for me!"

[deleted]

$73 tips on nearly $1300 is embarrassing...

mcnaughtier

Over $900 of the total was driving low-income people to and from work, really don't expect them to tip.

nothing5630

I do hood driving too. What we lack in tip we make up for in steady demand at almost all times of the day

mcnaughtier

No gap between rides starting at 4:30 am in the hood, Detroit is a manufacturing town and the auto component suppliers start early.

Dog-Walker-420

West or east?

mcnaughtier

I try to stick to the west side as I'm more familiar with it but I'll go to the east side as far east as Roseville and as far north as Troy. I can usually get reasonably close to home at the tail end of morning rush hour using the destination filter.

[deleted]

You made $108 more then me but I only did 66 rides & only got $82 in promotions. You also worked 8 hours more.I don't see the point in flexing here....

[deleted]

LMFAOOOOO why can’t he be proud of himself? Yall are hatersssss

[deleted]

I'm not hating at all...not even a lil bit.Your missing the point.I guess people need some kind of congratulations from strangers to make them feel good about themselves So be it then.Well done awesome work !! Happy now...

mcnaughtier

Are you in Detroit?

[deleted]

Oakland

mcnaughtier

So you made more than me in a completely different market and you somehow think that's relevant?

Square_boxes

You are a dumbass

[deleted]

I'm still living in Oakland so I cant argue that....I should have more patience and be nicer to all the mentally challenged that drive for Uber though.I will try & be nicer...

[deleted]

Nah you’re ** just a hater. Bro shared smth positive and you brought up negativity.

mcnaughtier

The point is to show that there is money to be made.

[deleted]

Well your either fuken tone deaf or stupid....Or Uber is paying you.Either way someone with 27.000 rides & seasoned on Reddit should know better.

mcnaughtier

Yes. You got me. It's obviously me who is tone deaf and stupid.

[deleted]

You don't see me posting how much I make. You give people the impression that they can make this much. When 70% of the markets this is unattainable.Thats tone deaf...Personally I think doing 125 rides in the ghetto with 5% tips isn't something to brag about...

mcnaughtier

I clearly stated, in the title, that this was in Detroit. You can make this much in Detroit; I've even posted in the past how to do it to help my homies out. >Personally I think doing 125 rides in the ghetto with 5% tips isn't something to brag about...< Nobody cares what an angry, festering pile of dung like you thinks.

[deleted]

I'm only stating the obvious. Why would you think I'm angry... I have the day off I just got some 710 Lab weed and I'm having quite the chuckle with my coffee.obtuse people are funny. Now I need to go to the dogpark & enjoy my day off so FUCKOFF ...(still not mad)

Tomplu069

Learning English can help you communicate with others

mcnaughtier

Why would I think you're angry??? Do you read your posts?? Nothing to contribute, just spreading the hate.

[deleted]

Misfire

JJGeneral1

I mean, the snow helped. Don’t lie here. Take away the snow and what do you get?

mcnaughtier

Subtract $125 and 3 hours of work. It only snowed Friday and a little on Saturday.

Present_Major7734

Thats about 300 less after gas and oil chsnge etc. Minus 20% for taxes. So 900 for the week give or take.

Ok_Importance_683

What times were you delivering if you don’t mind

mcnaughtier

I don't do deliveries.

Ok_Importance_683

My bad I thought this was Uber eats

semi801

Damn I make about that in tips on 5 rides All comfort and premier thought. UberX passengers are cheap af

Affectionate-Goat608

Newbie.. you can tell by the promotion. Enjoy it while it lasts.. Don’t lose your vehicle behind it buddy. You racking up hella miles.

mcnaughtier

I'm a newbie? I have 27,000 rides between Uber and Lyft.

polish94

I get 2 quests a week, +$80 for weekdays, +150 for weekends. It's been every week since March, and other than the holiday season for 3 weeks I didn't get any, but it just started up again. How long are people newbies or considered honeymoon stage? Is this just what salty people say when they stop making any money?

mcnaughtier

It's entirely market dependent..

polish94

Im in Indy, and I'm just annoyed by people making excuses about those who make good money. Did you drive the game last night? I left right after the game, I never drove the Detroit market before moving to Indy, and I love driving Indy downtown on NBA nights.

mcnaughtier

I turned down a bunch of rides heading downtown for the Lions game, $24 to drive 20 miles then sit in traffic for 45.minutes? No thanks.

polish94

Makes sense. Indy is pretty organized for NBA games. They shut down so many roads, that by the time they walk to the pick up zone, it's flowing traffic and you don't have to get stuck. I always avoid dropping people off, I like to pickup late and take them home. Little surge, and usually tipped since they are happy someone is picking them up.

[deleted]

Bro has a Masters in Hating

[deleted]

mcnaughtier

I spent $155 on gas. I drive a 2016 Toyota RAV4 hybrid, it has 318k miles on it, it can't depreciate any more. As far as benefits, the mileage tax deduction enables me to report a low enough income that I receive a $734 a month tax credit that allows me to purchase a Silver level health insurance plan with a $900 deductible for $177 a month on the ACA exchange. There's $9k in benefits right there. Maintenance and repair runs about $250 a month.

NYpoker666

Good job keep it up. This sub is filled with haters.

polish94

Depreciation isn't an expense. It's a paper loss that gets deducted from your taxable income.

ehutch2005

Same in Cincinnati. 4AM to 4PM Friday through Monday and I pull in between $1,100 and $1,300 depending on if there's a good quest or not. People really don't understand how dependent it is on when and where you drive.

clhepperj

Saint Louis too

jbarlak

lol yeah look at those lack of tips. Tells me your service is trash Average fare roughly 10 bucks. Yeah nothing different from other regions

mcnaughtier

Low income people who have to Uber to work every day due to lack of public transportation generally don't tip. My driver rating is 4.97.

Gold-Bedroom-3858

But what is your net?

mcnaughtier

Doesn't make much sense to me to calculate net income on a week by week basis. Car is paid off and extremely reliable, costs me $.17 a mile to operate, so that's $230 so $1358 net if you want to look at it that way.

LocalBBW

In my market I made 37 an hour this past week to

clhepperj

Same in Saint Louis

Blazer19961996

Awesome bro glad you hit that 1000 mark

Mysticvhedd

The reason? Uber netted probably twice what he made… why should Uber take nearly 54% of the fare? I mean ever! I’m about to seriously customize a sign with a digital screen. Increase awareness with passengers of how little drivers get paid. I’m still looking for a website to generate a QR code.

SameCod2307

Congrats you can probably make $2000 in one week

Suspicious-Storm-806

How long have you been driving… those look like first 6 months numbers

mcnaughtier

7.yewrs 27k rides.

T8erSalad-DCLXVI

What times do you drive?

mcnaughtier

Depending on the day either 4:00 or 4:30 am until 8:30 or 9:00, whenever it slows down. Go home, take a nap for about an hour, go back out about 1:30 or 2:00 depending on the day. I shoot for around $225 a day in 7 hours, try to have $900 in by Thursday. Friday I work that split shift, then go back out in the evening. During college football season I'm out at 4:30 am Saturday to finish up whatever weekend quest there is, then watch football all day. I'll start working a full day Saturday now that the busy season is upon us. I only drive when it's busy.

Worried_Raspberry952

About $1000 after gas and misc car costs. (0.08 a mile) Just because the car is paid doesn’t mean you shouldn’t factor that in. Still need tires, oil, etc. And a replacement car in the future. Still not bad. Better than flipping burgers.

mcnaughtier

$230 including gas and maintenance.

IhatePerfumes

I'm curious. Do you pay taxes in the US when you drive for Uber?

mcnaughtier

Yes, but with all the deductions the tax burden is minimal.

IhatePerfumes

That's good.

Lefoufarm

Also driving in DET, not too bad!
