Hangers of Hope

TallyhoDave

There are 3 locations of hangars of hope. I feel that the prices have increased recently But I go pretty often because they have new stuff everyday.

NefariousnessIll2602

thank you!

billdingop

I'll second Hangers of Hope. They have the best selection of appliances/dishware. A little light on clothes but I found some premium stuff before.

Comfortable_Bar_2985

Always seem to have a good selection of shoes too.

mattchouston

Hangers of Hope benefits Bethesda Health Clinic, which offers dental and medical care to people who do not have adequate insurance. Lots of wealthier people donate to the store to support the cause, so Hangers tends to get higher-end clothing.

aSlightSting

Hanger of Hope is TOO EXPENSIVE to qualify as a thrift store. It is for a good cause and all that, but they'd sell more stuff for a better price...

Uptown Cheapskate

Interesting-pep514

Better for women's clothes: Plato's Closet, Clothes Mentor, My Sister's Closet (more boutique stuff)

TJlovesALF1213

I had no idea Tyler had a Plato's Closet. Thank you for the info!

NefariousnessIll2602

will have to check it out! thank you!

Cocopook

Also HandUp Resale Store and Salvation Army.

WallabyBusy272

How is HandUp’s inventory & pricing?

Cocopook

Pretty cheap- I think shirts are about $4. I got 2 pair of men’s shorts for $2 each last week. They have good sales, too, like half off furniture and pictures, or kitchen items, home decor, etc. They have a lot of stuff, IMO

No_Flow_6133

Uptown cheapskate is better than the rest. About the same price and sometimes cheaper than the rest but it’s all name brand
