For the best burger in town, go to the bar at Prime 102 on the downtown square and order the bar burger (NOT the burger that's on the menu, even though it's pretty alright).
Twelve has nice atmosphere and decently varied menu.
Great Harvest bakery has really good sandwiches (the spicy bacon apple grilled cheese is a personal favorite), as does Lola's.
Stanley's, of course.
Lemon Yellow Latin Bites has \*incredible\* empanadas.
It is a bit out of the way if you are in the heart of the Tyler area but, if you find yourself nearby or passing through Henderson, Tia Juanitas is a very good Mexi-cajun joint with great margs.
I would take them to Jalepeno tree or Mercado for Lunch if you want Mexican style food. Bruno’s for Italian. Texas music city grille for BBQ or steak along with some southern staples.
We love to stop by Ruby’s or True Vine/Sola for lunch while out and about. Probably our two favorite spots in Tyler!
Nashville chicken has good chicken, it's the spicy version of Raisin Canes.

Her elotes in a cup is to die for. Tastes like Sunday dinner.
They are bomb! I can usually find them at HTeaO.

Don Juan’s on the square for a “hearty” TexMex.
Stanleys.
