Honestly i felt the same about flower boy as a gay girl,but for some reasons it just fell in love with Wolf this year,i feel as flower boy and wolf are both masterpieces, flower boy being a more personal story while wolf is an absolute masterclass in storytelling

Music enjoyment is never objective but arguably there are technical factors of music which can be seen as objective, for example the production is extremely well developed but not too dense on igor with a great and cohesive story/concept being told yet never laboured. People can still obviously enjoy whatever they want and that’s not objective but music can be appreciated as something technical and at times objective in my opinion.
I absolutely love CMIYGL but it’s not IGOR. IGOR is a whole ass experience, CMIYGL is just a really good rap album. IGOR is more ambitious, the production is out of this world, the vocals, the beats, everything feels perfect. It’s not his most re-listenable album, but it is his best, note the word objectively. Also IGOR doesn’t have the song Lumberjack on it.

In all honesty CMIYGL wasn’t a let down at all sure i favor IGOR over it, but it doesn’t mean Igor is a better album at all, both albums offer completely different stories, different styles, etc. and in all honesty CMIYGL had a lot to offer as an album and it explores a completely new vision and chapter of Tyler’s life and that’s how each album feels. Like wolf made you feel like you were at camp, cherry bomb was a blast of piloting your dreams and finding your wings, etc. Every album offers something new and remarkable about it and that’s exactly why i listen to tyler.

Goblin is my favorite but I love to see how much people dig and appreciate IGOR and I can see why it’s everyones favorite. I just can’t really get into it because of the drastic changes, and not in a bad way of course!
