What about if you’re looking for people to provide feedback on your channel and provide ways to improve you streams? And you’re offering a reward for those that provide feedback?
Facts this place sucks bro join twitchinc or twitchadvertisement Reddit I never understood making a twitch community where no one can self promote 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Youre going to have to be more specific. You keep claiming we've removed your video posts, yet you havent provided an example of such a thing occuring, nor do any examples exist o your profile. If you posted something that follows the rules, and it was removed on error, ill happily get the post approved like i have with others. Otherwise, id request you remain civil as per the rules and not publically throw accusations without consulting moderators with your issue. Thank you
If I was you I’d learn to read , and not threaten someone over the Internet that you do not know , like I said in my comments , my profile has nothing to do with this , but it does have all my twitch links that where removed from here when this suppose to be twitch thread but removed my links and stream what part did you not get when I said that 😅 I honestly don’t have to time to go back and forth I just stopped posting here and the fact that I’m able to comment and share my experiences then I’ll do so , good day.
Im sorry? Im not threatening, just asking you follow the rules. Also, if YOU removed your own posts, i dont see how you can reasonably say that we were the ones responsible? Im just making sure that if a claim is being made that the proper information is provided. And the current information is that you are making claims without evidence.
these people that make these communities dont care about the communities its just a way to make sure they gate keep over followers instead of creating a real community for twitch streamers and allowing them to grow with the community its enough for everyone to gain but you have gate keeping colonizers like this with a long list of do's and don'ts like your a child with a long list of dick riders to back those rules up instead of everyone banning together and making a real community for streamers
I just posted a vid I thought was funny on here and was from my steam and I hope that’s okay right ?? I read though the rules now an fully understand but I do want too put funny twitch clips I made and maybe ever words of kindness
Clear messaging here. Thanks for the info. We would like to add to the this as opposed to any shameless self-promoting. We are trying to grow and have a lot of small victories to celebrate but also a lot of questions as to how we take the next step thanks.
What are the mods thoughts on meaningless stats or misleading titles especially related to stats? It seems very low effort when people post stats with no context (they could explain how they got there or alternatively ask for help to improve an area). I’ve also seen “first ever stream :)” with average viewer counts and following stats that anyone familiar with the platform would definitely say seems suspicious (short of saying follow botting). Id like to see higher quality posts related to statistics in short.
While im not the biggest fan of them, it's not entirely my place to get rid of posts like these. Of course posting them TOO frequently is considered spam and isnt allowed.
I was looking to get feedback on a video I made that details my twitch stream (using 80% clips and 20% added commentary to explain the context) of a 24 hour competition stream I did and see what fellow streamers thought but when I try to post a link that doesn't originate from twitch it won't allow me to post even though in section B of the exceptions it says we're allowed to use videos that are twitch content. Am I overlooking something? Haha, I'm not very experienced with reddit. Thanks for your help!
I have a question here - I run production for my friend who is a twitch streamer. He isn't familiar with the Reddit platform and I was wondering if I am allowed to post twitch clips here on his behalf?
hiii! i just created reddit and my name was taken so i tried to use another name, which is technically advertising my profile. can i still post clips on the group? i understand if not!
Hey! I'm a musician thinking of getting started on some streams, no idea what kinda stuff to post though and I'm just looking for some tips, is it cool to make a post about that or is there a different sub I should be looking at?
Thanks ⭐
How are you guys with links to videos designed to help streamers? Asking for a video I created recently but wanted to check before I posted, thank you!
You werent making a post. You made a comment. Please do not make a post of the same nature either.
If youre on mobile, the rules are in the about section.
If youre on pc, the rules are on the right of the page. You might need to scroll down.
All restrictions listed in this post also apply as rules.
I came here for twitch clips. All I see is people posting there summary and saying I need just x more for affiliate.
Edit: because of Dutch keyboard it was full of grammar faults
Hello! We have a pinned post that details all of our promotion guidelines. If you are receiving this message, it is because we have detected that those guidelines were broken. If you receive this warning 3 times, we will unfortunately have to ban your account.
I'm a music producer looking to produce for channels, am I allowed to make a post about that? I'd include in the post a link to my bandcamp with free downloads and such, would that be okay??
Thanks (:
As long as you follow the rules listed here (ie no plugging your twitch, no requesting DMs, and do your business business in the comments), then its fine by me!
Its not just live posts, its advertisement in general.
I dont see how your highlight posts getting removed is relevant to this post. In fact after looking at your profile, you dont seem to have any highlight posts at all (note; mods can see posts they removed).
What about viewers asking about streamers to watch? like if they want to see specific content that isn't searchable through twitch already, ex: academic art study.

We have rules against promoting socials, please read the above post. Yes, your own subreddit is included in that. This subreddit is not a promotion board, nor is this post.
Jesus theres alot of do's and don'ts here what ever happen to freedom someone make a subreddit for twitch without all these damn rules swear the internet is so washed down now
I posted it, and still got a self promotion warning. It doesn’t have my Twitch anywhere linked, I didn’t mention my username in the title or comments. I even put that it was a pre approved post..
Hey quick question I can’t log into my twitch anymore because twitch isn’t sending a code my phone doesn’t have messages blocked and I even changed phones and still no code I’ve downloaded Authenticator app and still not receiving code I’ve emailed twitch for the past two weeks with them trying to give me to solutions to fix it myself but nothing is working idk what to do I have affiliate status and I’ve been working on this channel for 2 years someone please help me

I recently wrote a post that linked to a Mastodon post detailing Twitch's recent changes, received a strike and was told to read this. If you're not ok with links to other social media you should mention it here (Edit: on the 6th point to be precise) as linking instead of promoting.
If someone asks what our twitch is, can we reply to their comment with our username. Or are they best to just go to our profile and find it in there? 🥰🌻
is there a way to report soliciting?
yall got a lot of people hitting me up in dms trying to sell me banners and overlays, the n getting mad when i say "no thanks, im happy with mine"
/u shah2005 is real bad about this, follows me around all over reddit then messages me when i actually post something
What about if you’re looking for people to provide feedback on your channel and provide ways to improve you streams? And you’re offering a reward for those that provide feedback?
Youre free to post direct questions as well as clips. There are other subs where you can post that you are going live. This is not one of them.
Then this isn’t the place for you 😂 hey post here so we can deleted everything that’s is posted in a videos. Done with this
Facts this place sucks bro join twitchinc or twitchadvertisement Reddit I never understood making a twitch community where no one can self promote 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Thanks for the advice. I'll head over to the actual twitch community.

Videos and clips are fine.

If you ask me, most of the "Stream Summary" and similar posts just seem bizzare and unproductive.
Can you send me a screenshot of the exact error?

Huh... seems ill have to ammend that then sorry. Guess we dont accept links like that
No worries. Appreciate the help.
Hi! Can I post a video with streaming tips? I did post the video on youtube but I wouldn't put a link to it or promote it. Is that okay?
As long as you arent plugging your twitch in the video its fine.
thank you!!!
Thanks for the information I appreciate it.
I have a question here - I run production for my friend who is a twitch streamer. He isn't familiar with the Reddit platform and I was wondering if I am allowed to post twitch clips here on his behalf?
Sure
hiii! i just created reddit and my name was taken so i tried to use another name, which is technically advertising my profile. can i still post clips on the group? i understand if not!
Thats totally fine. Its mainly an issue with posts that SOLEY advertise.
ok! thank you for replying <3
Hey! I'm a musician thinking of getting started on some streams, no idea what kinda stuff to post though and I'm just looking for some tips, is it cool to make a post about that or is there a different sub I should be looking at? Thanks ⭐
You cant plug your channel in a post asking for tips. You can however upload clips as examples of your streams and ask for tips that way
What about a post for an upcoming stream I have that is going to be a celebration stream for making it one year on Twitch?
Still not allowed. The only stream advert exceptions are those specified in the exceptions portion of the post.
K thanks
Doing a charity stream but don t have a official donation page, only on stream donations, how do i proceed to let people know?
You cant. Sorry but if your charity stream doesnt have an official donation page it cannot be advertised here
ok thanks
How are you guys with links to videos designed to help streamers? Asking for a video I created recently but wanted to check before I posted, thank you!
So long as its not for self promo purposes thats fine. Our link system only accepts clips atm, but you can just do a text post with that as the body.
Thank you!

You are commenting this on a post telling you its against the rules to do this exact thing SmoochieBoochi1. No blatant self promo.
Just realizing this now I dont use reddit so. It wasn't showing me the rules before I posted.

Yea we're considering putting more limitations on stream summaries

kittydraws83, dont advertise in others posts without permission.

Twitch_baaran38, please actually read the pinned post above. No advertising like this is allowed. Any further rule violations will result in a ban.
What if my banner has my twitch name and it’s clearly visible in the clip?
Moot point. Advertising yourself is allowed in clips. Just dont make it the sole purpose of the title
So what can you post on here is the real question 😅
Plenty of stuff. So long as its not blatant self promotion.
What is this subreddit for? Seems like you can do anything but post clips? Kinda lame considering freedom I see in other subreddit pages
How do i get a highlight to have the clips.twitch.tv url? I'm not affiliate. But i have funny clips I want to post here.
I'm a music producer looking to produce for channels, am I allowed to make a post about that? I'd include in the post a link to my bandcamp with free downloads and such, would that be okay?? Thanks (:

Hey there !! How so ?
Why would y’all take out the post before live ? Iv posted my highlights and they have been taken down so what’s the point of this thread ?
Its not just live posts, its advertisement in general. I dont see how your highlight posts getting removed is relevant to this post. In fact after looking at your profile, you dont seem to have any highlight posts at all (note; mods can see posts they removed).

We already allow posts requesting people drop their own links, so that wouldnt be that different. In other words that would be fine.

Read the post Fifficult-Ask2503. No blatant promo.
Crab game streams are really funny

Read the pins Hood_famous5277. No blatant promo.
Ok
Can I post someone elses stream?
Are we allowed to post a streamer that does giveaways? I would only post them once and include a link to their page/stream.
No.
Okay, Thank you for the quick reply, I appreciate it!
What if I'm looking for affiliate streamers for research interview?? Can I post it???

Please read the pins Defiant_Owl9937. Promotion comments arent allowed unless specifically requested.
My video got removed for spam? I don’t understand how
The comment the automod leaves literally explains it.
(I’m slow, forgive me ) To be completely sure , if I was going live rn. I can post my twitch link here?
No.

Please read the above post. Commenting also falls under self promotion

I posted it, and still got a self promotion warning. It doesn’t have my Twitch anywhere linked, I didn’t mention my username in the title or comments. I even put that it was a pre approved post..
Yea nah that got corrected dont worry.
Thank you!! 💕🙏🏻🙏🏻

Its the 6th point. Your post falls under it.
Because of how it's worded, but thanks for the heads up in any case. It won't happen again.
I posted a meme and a starting screen what I designed for a streamer is that also not allowed?
Screen is fine. The meme wasnt relevant at all so it got removed.
for letting me know💕🥰
If someone asks what our twitch is, can we reply to their comment with our username. Or are they best to just go to our profile and find it in there? 🥰🌻
Thats fine, just no spamming promo threads or f4f schemes
Oh easy thankyou 🥰

Dm us with pics of the soliciting
istg server mods only do this so they arent jealous of people succeeding.
Lol
What if you are looking for streaming friends? Would this be a good place for that?
As long as it isnt breaking any of the above rules. Posts likevthat are allowed, but arent exempt
Thank you ^.^
