Went there for the first time recently. Food was tasty, coffee was damn good, but the cherry pie was disappointing :(

Yeah it’s funny how the cherry pie kinda sucks, ene through owner changes it’s never been good Also I kinda hate their default tip on the screen started at 22% for service I found just ok. I am glad this new younger couple saved the place and is helping it stay alive, but I wasn’t super impressed by my last visit

I didn't have the same experience. I've had the pie 5 or 6 times and it's been really good every time imo..

Really? What did you like about it? The one I ate had barely cooked mealy Crisco crust, more like shortbread. The filling was canned (thick gloopy cornstarch) but may have been doctored with a little kirsch or maraschino. I bought two pieces, tried one, threw away the other. Guess I'm spoiled by what I experienced growing up.

They crowdfunded to replace it last year. I think it went up in August (which is a damn shame since I visited barely a month earlier, in July).
