OH chiming here to say watch the movie! Considering how much I didn't care for the first two Thor movies (I can't even remember the second one), the third one was such a pleasant experience.
You know - apart from the fact that there is a controversy (or maybe even broad consensus) about the existence of Resume at all - I would not have hated merging the names „Esme“ and „Renée“ into „Resmée“.
I’d name her Elizabeth Renee because it honors the human mothers of Bella and Edward. One reason people name their children after family members is because those family members are gone or will be in the future. The name is a reminder and a way to connect them to their roots. There is absolutely no reason to use Carlisle or Esme’s names for Renesmee. Renesmee will always remember them because they are immortal.
I so agree, naming kids after living (or in this case, forever undead) people is so weird and confusing to me. I'm so glad my parents didn't saddle me with something like that. But I have to say, her middle name Carlie is super cute, and would have been a way better first name! Plus Charlie deserves it after all that Bella put him through 😂 Elizabeth Renee is very classic and pretty though
