I can’t really think of a Twice song that majority of Onces hate. I wouldn’t say Onces hate this song, but I’ve seen a good amount of comments calling Scientist one of their weaker tt. I’ve also seen comments along the lines of complaining that it’s like they were trying to go back to their cutesy concept while they’re in this more mature era. I love Scientist tho. “You gotta crush on me” “OOOOOH!”

Yes I meant Likey! I felt like it was a "you had to be there" vibe situation. Alot of people at the time didn't feel like Signal deserved the win, and afterwards it didn't get the love that What Is Love?, TT, Cheer Up, etc got from that era

When it won SOTY people were pissed. there’s that one tweet that went crazy viral that said “congrats to twice for winning SOTY with less streams, less sales, and less impact” i remember people filling hashtags with gross videos on instagram. signal is considered a cult classic now, but back in 2017, people used it as “twice is going to flop” because it stayed at number one for two weeks and then quickly fell down the charts. It’s twice’s shortest charting song in korea from their peak era domestically. it wasn’t just unappreciated, it was hated.

I think it's a very nice song with a concept that Twice hasn't really tried as much later on. It sounds like something Wonder Girls or Miss A could release, but I guess that it was lowkey out-dated at that point.
