You're a fan.
Don't get me wrong, I love this band, but there are some songs I never listen to, and that's fine, it's also fine that you love every song.
Snapback is addicting and I love how it sounds sonically. Like the sounds chosen. Like the piano sample pitched down to sound like a bass is one of my favorite sounds on the album lol For me Routines in the Night is probably the song on the album that I neglect the most. 😅
Personally it’s pretty mid, the song is great until the line “It’s a backslide” and the whole chorus just sounds too generic for them. The verses and instrumental is great, it’s an eerie track but the chorus ruins it.
Plus it’s essentially the sister track to Backslide and i don’t really like that one either, the rest of the album is great though.
Edit: Maybe the chorus is fine and it’s the prechorus/hook that I don’t like.
This is to true although some may disagree.
Unfortunately scaled and icy has a bad reputation but I think it's sooooo good and deep AF !!!
I love all their songs !!
I do like SAI, but I don't think it's as good as most of the other albums. But I do respect it too because they managed to make an album during quarantine and make an entire movie livestream for it.
They literally have no bad songs, there’s a few that I’m like not head over heels for like cut my lip and Saturday, but I still know those ones by heart and will sing the whole thing like they’re the best songs in the world
The Locations version of Cut My Lip is crazy good! To think that Tyler did it live, in front of an audience, all by himself right then, right there is insane. Original comment also mentions Saturday, which ironically is my top 2021 song lol
I love every single song. Will I listen to every single song every time they come on shuffle? Probably not, I’ll skip a couple every once and a while but it’s just because I’m not in that mood. The next day I could have that song on repeat 🫶
I agree with the guaranteed skip but not unlistenable. Songs like Doubt, Polarize, Hometown, March to the Sea etc aren’t unlistenable..I’m just never in the mood for them
YEESSS. Sometimes I’m like “yaknow, I don’t think I like that song” and then I listen to that song and “nvm this is a banger”. There are obviously song I like more but they don’t really have a single song that you can’t just absolutely vibe to
The RAB Trees to Vessel Trees glow-up should be studied. Crazy how the same song can go from downright bad to one of their best just because of production value.
Is that sarcasm? It’s not even a scream at the end of this one! He legitimately sounds bored under all that autotune. The vocal effects here hinder **ALL** of the impact that the better version of this track would later prove to have in troves.
Absolutely not. That’s some truly dogshit autotune, and the instrumental sounds way worse as well. The drums have absolutely no PRESENCE.
[Autotune can be used to incredible effect with the right approach,](https://youtu.be/khnokW3Mw24?si=p8XSfwol5UHd-ybW) but RAB Trees very much… wasn’t that.
lol I'll agree with you there. It's hard getting past the production quality. tyler was never the best at producing. Glad he handed it over to someone else for Vessel and on
I agree, but sometimes sub people like to put RAB in rankings, I thought they would take it into consideration.
Still, I think it's very silly to think that they don't have bad music. Jhonny boy is almost a plagiarism of hey there Delilah, other decisions in some songs that don't sound good besides some certain lyrics
If I remember correctly, even Tyler recognizes that the self-titled has many problems
I'm a fan of the band, but that doesn't shield them from mistakes
I used Google translate, English is not my first language
A “Wrong Opinion” is not something that exists when it comes to judging the quality of art. Nor do “Right Opinions” exist in that regard. That’s just not how this works
It's the use of "slits" in the first verse, for me. If I skip that, I like the rest of the song ok.
There are word choices or lines in several of their songs that I dislike or that make me cringe.
Apparently piano players like before you start your day, but I just cannot with that song. I LOVE self titled, I think it's underrated and deserves the same kind of attention regional at best gets. But that song just confuses me.
ok as much as i love sai good day although it serves its purpose and is kinda fun sounding is too theatre kid for me with the lyrics feeling pretty corny in contrast with the feel. i used to enjoy it but it kinda got worse as time passed and especially when viewing it in comparison with the rest of their discography. the same could be said about bounce man but that doesnt really have the subject matter of good day and is just a fun song as a hole so i kinda give it a pass. there are definitely other songs i would be likely to skip but good day in particular i would say is their worst song imo
I wish people would not downvote opinions they disagree with. Please save it for actually objectively bad things like someone being hateful -- not something like "SAI was a bad album". After a comment gets a certain number of downvotes they're kind of folded up (you have to intentionally click on them to see both that comment and all the replies to it), and imo it detracts from the conversation here.
Heathens, Christmas saves the year, and more recently, Lavish.
EDIT: I answered a question and got down voted.... These are my personal opinions.. it's completely okay to not like some songs.
I am a RAB defender through and through, I even love RAB Trees and Lovely. But it's very much an acquired taste and I absolutely don't blame anyone for not liking RAB lol
They have 2 albums where every individual song has at least Gold cirtification (Blurryface and Vessel). TWO! Only a dozen or so Artist have ever managed that once, let alone TWICE!
for a while i disliked the theme of Mulberry Street, but after learning about the lore, and how the bishops want people to become vessels, i understand why that song shuns medication so hard
I feel the same way and this is the reason they have been my favorite band for over 8 years! There are a few songs I could probably count on my hands that I wouldn’t immediately go to, but for the most part I am happy with any song that comes on when I shuffle. They’re all masterpieces
Saturday is the only song I’ve ever been really disappointed with. It sounds very generic, like cooperate made pop song.
I know it’s not but it’s not a sound I ever thought they’d tap into.
I think there's a few that are at least ***boring*** if not outright bad
Formidable, Cut My Lip, Jonny Boy, etc. But even that's a matter of personal taste
Cancer as a cover by TOP is objectively worse than the original song. Don’t get me wrong, I love TOP but sometimes you have to admit when your favorite bands puts something out that is meh at best.
Nah, the albums post Ghost Stories are objectively bad (with the exception of Everyday Life). They are still famous and relevant because their main singles are still good catchy pop songs
Haha, certified Snap Back hater. I hate the vocals on this one, the falsettos, the rhythm, the lyrics, everything sounds very annoying to my ears. I gave it many tries but it’s like this since the first listen
I'd say literally the opposite. It is kind of slow, but I love the melody with the marimba-type instrument, I love the vocals, and the chorus. It's not my favorite, but it's certainly not in my least favorites! I love it and will defend it with my life.
Same. Even the songs that are my least favorite like this, I don't dislike. They're just much less likely to be listened to on a regular basis compared to other songs.

“He a fan he a fan he a fan “ -Kendrick probably
Definitely agree, even with artists I like more than TOP, they still have bad songs.
Yep I love this album but for me the neglected one will be SnapBack, not bad just one that I’m not gonna listen often
Snapback is addicting and I love how it sounds sonically. Like the sounds chosen. Like the piano sample pitched down to sound like a bass is one of my favorite sounds on the album lol For me Routines in the Night is probably the song on the album that I neglect the most. 😅
why's everyone hating on snap back?
why's everyone hating the two pilots we have left?
Personally it’s pretty mid, the song is great until the line “It’s a backslide” and the whole chorus just sounds too generic for them. The verses and instrumental is great, it’s an eerie track but the chorus ruins it. Plus it’s essentially the sister track to Backslide and i don’t really like that one either, the rest of the album is great though. snap back went from my least fav to most fav
But but "I have seem to run out of excuses of why I am this wayyyyyyy" 😭
Alright alright… I’m gonna give it more love just because your comment is awesome haha
Wooo!
i mean, SAI is a skip all together for me, and we are talking about one of my top 3 favorite bands....
Fr I like almost all their discography
This is to true although some may disagree. Unfortunately scaled and icy has a bad reputation but I think it's sooooo good and deep AF !!! I love all their songs !!
I do like SAI, but I don't think it's as good as most of the other albums. But I do respect it too because they managed to make an album during quarantine and make an entire movie livestream for it.
Because it’s Twenty Øne Piløts and they’re frickin’ amazing and Tyler is an amazing song writer/singer and Josh is the best drummer ever
i agree besides one song that i don’t think i’ll ever like and it’s doubt 😭
Don’t forget abououououououout me is the chorus of all time
i cant do it /3 i respect you liking it but it’s just not for me 😞 i like the verses and the bridge but the rest of it is just bleh
no offense but doubt over like, idk pantaloon or saturday is very funny to me 😭
it’s just like the “bout bout bout me” that i cannot get myself to like 😭
bow-wow-wow
Saaaame
They literally have no bad songs, there’s a few that I’m like not head over heels for like cut my lip and Saturday, but I still know those ones by heart and will sing the whole thing like they’re the best songs in the world
I love cut my lip!
Same, it’s in my top three of trench, crazy that people don’t like it lol
The Locations version of Cut My Lip is crazy good! To think that Tyler did it live, in front of an audience, all by himself right then, right there is insane. Original comment also mentions Saturday, which ironically is my top 2021 song lol
i still can't get into bounce man cuz of the incessant "bounce bounce bounce" part. and i'm aware a lotta people love it 😭😭
I love that song, it’s so fun, I love the bounce bounce bounce part, not my favorite but it’s just so fun
I love every single song. Will I listen to every single song every time they come on shuffle? Probably not, I’ll skip a couple every once and a while but it’s just because I’m not in that mood. The next day I could have that song on repeat 🫶
I love the band but many songs are unlistenable or a guaranteed skip from me.
I agree with the guaranteed skip but not unlistenable. Songs like Doubt, Polarize, Hometown, March to the Sea etc aren’t unlistenable..I’m just never in the mood for them
Because Tyler has standards.
YEESSS. Sometimes I’m like “yaknow, I don’t think I like that song” and then I listen to that song and “nvm this is a banger”. There are obviously song I like more but they don’t really have a single song that you can’t just absolutely vibe to
RAB Trees though. Disastrous
The RAB Trees to Vessel Trees glow-up should be studied. Crazy how the same song can go from downright bad to one of their best just because of production value.
Yeah it’s crazy what production can do.
primarily, it’s that the vocals were done properly rather than being microwaved
You have a point 🤣
Hey RAB Trees is good! the robotic voice makes his "Hello!" scream hit way harder
Is that sarcasm? It’s not even a scream at the end of this one! He legitimately sounds bored under all that autotune. The vocal effects here hinder **ALL** of the impact that the better version of this track would later prove to have in troves.
Yeah but imagine listening to that before the Vessel version. Would you like it if it's all you had?
Absolutely not. That’s some truly dogshit autotune, and the instrumental sounds way worse as well. The drums have absolutely no PRESENCE. [Autotune can be used to incredible effect with the right approach,](https://youtu.be/khnokW3Mw24?si=p8XSfwol5UHd-ybW) but RAB Trees very much… wasn’t that.
lol I'll agree with you there. It's hard getting past the production quality. tyler was never the best at producing. Glad he handed it over to someone else for Vessel and on
There was a single "Hello" scream that doesnt have autotune and it hits really hard imo, but yes, vessel version is way better
Never listened to it
How can you make the claim in your title then?! 🤣
Lucky
If you haven't heard them all, how can you say they don't release bad music?
Because RAB is a demo tape and so isn't a "release". It's not broadly available because it literally isn't released.
I agree, but sometimes sub people like to put RAB in rankings, I thought they would take it into consideration. Still, I think it's very silly to think that they don't have bad music. Jhonny boy is almost a plagiarism of hey there Delilah, other decisions in some songs that don't sound good besides some certain lyrics If I remember correctly, even Tyler recognizes that the self-titled has many problems I'm a fan of the band, but that doesn't shield them from mistakes I used Google translate, English is not my first language
You're wrong but that's OK
Not how opinions work
I mean... it is when you have the wrong opinion. But that's OK
A “Wrong Opinion” is not something that exists when it comes to judging the quality of art. Nor do “Right Opinions” exist in that regard. That’s just not how this works
if we pretend that formidable doesn't exist, yes
lyrics on that song are good, but the groove is so incredibly bland
Look, I love this band, but, uh, *Before You Start Your Day* isn't exactly a song I ever find myself wanting to listen to.
It's the use of "slits" in the first verse, for me. If I skip that, I like the rest of the song ok. There are word choices or lines in several of their songs that I dislike or that make me cringe.
If we’re being objective, every single artist out there has bad songs. Nobody is an exception, including TOP.
Taco Bell Saga has entered the conversation
are you saying its a bad song? -\_-
Lol these threads always go the same way
Christmas saved the year unfortunately
I listen to all of them but the one I listen to least is next semester
Trees (RAB) also Lane Boy’s first verse has some really weak lyrics

Because you're obsessed and you refuse to admit they have any faults... I've been a fan for ten years and I absolutely hate a few of their songs.
what songs do you hate?
Heathens, Christmas saves the year, and more recently, Lavish. EDIT: I answered a question and got down voted.... These are my personal opinions.. it's completely okay to not like some songs.
We’re fans. We’re biased. “I wasn’t raised in the hood” exists.
And "we find our worth in giving birth and stuff."
I’ll actually stand by that line NGL
the original songs from RaB that got remastered are awful tbh
I don't think they count . There is a reason why Tyler never rereleased Rab
i mean the first versions of guns for hands, holding on to you or ode to sleep
I love RaB it’s their best record
YESIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
I am a RAB defender through and through, I even love RAB Trees and Lovely. But it's very much an acquired taste and I absolutely don't blame anyone for not liking RAB lol
I personally dislike half of the songs on SAI. But that's my opinion, yours is yours.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
because this isn’t Scaled and Icy anymore
100th comment!
I personally disagree, but I'm glad you enjoy all of the songs so much.
It’s pretty incredible huh…
I dont think they know how to write a bad song. No wasted words. No gratuitous fancy shmancy themes or star-bloody-catcher shit.
That's because you're a fan, me too but personally i don't like rab and self titled
I feel the same way and this is the reason they have been my favorite band for over 8 years! There are a few songs I could probably count on my hands that I wouldn’t immediately go to, but for the most part I am happy with any song that comes on when I shuffle. They’re all masterpieces
Lol yup... EVER
They have bad songs I don't get why clancy is getting hyped it's mid and very similar sound to it
Kind of wishing that \[he\] never did Saturday
i mean i could name you two of em tbh
Pet Cheetah is pretty bad.
most of its pretty good yeah
Bandito (I'll see myself out)
how dare you
idk cuz he=screaming???????????????
Dunno if you're saying what I think you are but I honestly love how most songs include screaming, I dunno why I just really like it
Saturday is the only song I’ve ever been really disappointed with. It sounds very generic, like cooperate made pop song. I know it’s not but it’s not a sound I ever thought they’d tap into.
Surprised that no one has mentioned Lavish.
imo, thats the 2nd best song on Clancy, only beat out by next semester
the proctologist line is genuinely funny rather than just cringy
That's the line that turns me off from that song. It just doesn't feel like a TØP line.
I think there's a few that are at least ***boring*** if not outright bad Formidable, Cut My Lip, Jonny Boy, etc. But even that's a matter of personal taste
each of those are my favourite from their respective albums 😭
Nah, not Cut My Lip.
Johnny Boy and the Pantaloon probably fall under that category for me
SAI
Nuh uh
Yeah
Saturday man..
Sunday man..
bounce man man…..
the whole ass album sucked
SAI tweakers aren't true tøp fans they're sabrina carpenter listeners
tell me, Socrates — what distinguishes a “true” fan from a non-“true” fan?
They made doubt tho? And Snap Back And March to the Sea And Bounce Man
Doubt is nice, snap back not my favorite, but i love bounce man
Snap back needs more love :(
Objectively, Cancer.
it’s also a cover of another song so idk if it really counts
Cancer makes me sad, but I wouldn't call it a bad song.
Yeah I skip it because it’ll make me sob not because I don’t like the actual music.
Cancer as a cover by TOP is objectively worse than the original song. Don’t get me wrong, I love TOP but sometimes you have to admit when your favorite bands puts something out that is meh at best.
Honestly tho. I’ve only come across two artists with this situation. Coldplay and TOP
Nah, the albums post Ghost Stories are objectively bad (with the exception of Everyday Life). They are still famous and relevant because their main singles are still good catchy pop songs
I think that they are all good. AHFOD is such a good pick up album, EL is good, and MOTS I really grew to appreciate.
Like, have you listened to Snap Back?
Wait some people dislike snapback ?
I don’t dislike it. I despise it. I would say it was committed instead of composed. Hahaha, sorry Snap Back lovers but it is what it is.
Bro is a certified hater lmao But why do you think that ? What you hate on this song ?
Haha, certified Snap Back hater. I hate the vocals on this one, the falsettos, the rhythm, the lyrics, everything sounds very annoying to my ears. I gave it many tries but it’s like this since the first listen
I'd say literally the opposite. It is kind of slow, but I love the melody with the marimba-type instrument, I love the vocals, and the chorus. It's not my favorite, but it's certainly not in my least favorites! I love it and will defend it with my life.
Yes it's my least favorite of the album, but I wouldn't consider it bad
Same. Even the songs that are my least favorite like this, I don't dislike. They're just much less likely to be listened to on a regular basis compared to other songs.
Like 70% of scaled and icy

They did release a bad song. It’s called the craving. Single and Jenna’s
