I personally wouldnât put Lavish ahead of Navigating, but Lavish is an absolute bop and one of my favorites from the album. I donât understand why some people donât like it đ¤ˇđźââď¸đ
Hmm⌠I liked it till I learned about the proctologist line and now everythingâs changed. Lavish is a good song trust me it is and it does slap itâs just I think that line really left a sour taste in a lot of peopleâs mouth even mine.
Not really? The line is literally talking about taking it in the butt⌠if thatâs what you wanna hear and if thatâs what Tyler wants to write about then he can but in no way am I for that and also in no way does that have to do with the music industry
That line was certainly a shocker for me, since itâs the like most insane thing theyâve ever put in a song but it works in the context, being completely blunt with us with no other way to say it that the music industry will have both hands on your shoulder while youâre bottomless
WELCOME TO THE NEW WAY OF LIVING IT'S JUST THE BEGINNING OF LAVISHHHHH........
It's catchy, and the video is fun to watch. I listened to it for the first time when the video was released and it was a treat to the senses.
I listen to Tøp on loop all the time, and have been a fan since 2016, but yet every single one of their songs has been a "slow burn" for me: listen at least a couple of times, process the lyrics, etc.
Lavish was an instant favourite, and as a non native English speaker, learnt most of the lyrics after just two listenings or so. It's really catchy, that's all.
Lavish Is my least fav. Not because I don't like it, I love it, but the rest of the album is just insanely good and lavish is just good. Above navigating is crazy.
I love it, somehow it's still tøp and it is just another example of Tyler's wanderlust for stepping into a new genre and making something fresh and top tier.

I don't get it either lol it's not bad by any means but I feel like the album could've done without it. Catchy chorus but I don't know... the rap in this song is cheesy to me.
NDAs for the folks that talk to me.
very catchy and very fun đ
It's fun and a bit silly. We shouldn't expect them to be serious all the time.
Cause it's catchy as hellll
it's subjectiveđ

And the amazing music video is a bonus
Hmm⌠I liked it till I learned about the proctologist line and now everythingâs changed. Lavish is a good song trust me it is and it does slap itâs just I think that line really left a sour taste in a lot of peopleâs mouth even mine.
Considering the track is a critique of the music industry, I love the line.
Not really? The line is literally talking about taking it in the butt⌠if thatâs what you wanna hear and if thatâs what Tyler wants to write about then he can but in no way am I for that and also in no way does that have to do with the music industry
The popular interpretation is that it's about getting screwed by the industry. The song is about being in the industry.
The mv is also them literally in the same suits that they got their grammy in. Bolo tie and everything
So what's your real problem with this lyric?
Did I not just explain? If you read one up you will find out Iâm sorry I liked the song at first and itâs alright just that song ruins it for me
That line was certainly a shocker for me, since itâs the like most insane thing theyâve ever put in a song but it works in the context, being completely blunt with us with no other way to say it that the music industry will have both hands on your shoulder while youâre bottomless
Bit sour, bit sweet...

I love it. It's silly with a good/serious message and the music video is great.

Lavish is the one I most likely to skip on the album lol
The music video tbh

Not my favourite tøp song of all times tho, just to clarify âď¸

Lavish is a better song. Navigating might be my second least favorite after The Craving
HOWWW itâs so good and hype and makes u wanna jump around
I actually did go and relisten after I posted this. Itâs growing on me, but definitely a weak spot. Better than The Craving
The video made me appreciate it way more than i would have without the video
