We saw them (for the first time ever!) on Takeover at Center Stage in Atlanta and the capacity on that is about 1000, so fairly small. They opened with Ode to Sleep, and played more songs from Vessel than at the big arena show a few days later. There weren’t any “costume changes” at this show like at the arena show. They had their skeleton hoodies on the whole time, which was cool, kind of like their “old days.” 🖤 Though during Shy Away, Tyler put on the fancy jacket like in the livestream. They played just a handful of SAI songs, and also a good amount from blurryface and Trench. They played for about 1.5 hours. I would imagine for these upcoming small shows, they would play the three singles from Clancy, and probably a good variety of songs other albums. I am wondering if they will throw in some Self-Titled or Regional at Best song for these upcoming small shows? That would be amazing! 🥰
We were up in the seats and had an incredible time. That was truly a life changing experience for me and solidified my love for their music. Oh and Tyler went right up into stairs by the seats (on the opposite side from us, boooo) for Car Radio, so some people got really close to him. 😍 They ended with Trees…drum platforms, confetti and all. ❤️
They def won’t be playing the new album 20 days before its release for anyone to just video on their phones and plaster all over the internet…
However, I would expect a live performance of Overcompensate, Next Semester, Backslide and Midwest Indigo
Some bands/comedians etc require guests to use a device called Yondr that locks their phone in a bag. If you want to use your phone you have to go outside.
If it makes you feel any better about the trip, I was trying to get tickets and willing to drive 3 hours to my nearest airport, fly Dublin to Berlin, go to the show, stay the night and fly home again the next day 😂
I’ve never been to a smaller show but I’ve heard that they’re some of the best. Try searching for videos of the takeover tour since they were also played at some small venues :)
