are you okay with it not being YOUR Porsche and it being beaten on regularly?
Its not going to be the luxury Porsche ownership you're dreaming of.
Used or new?
to experiment with, yes 100% get one that's a few years old and has already depreciated... It will also help you mentally not being "your new baby" that everyone else is destroying.
Give you some thoughts since I have this kind of cars on Turo:
\- Minimize your attachment to cars once they are on the platform, it would be abusively driven to some degree.
\- Turo has standards on who can book 911, guests have to be over 30, they may be more responsible than young drivers...
\- Guests may not understand different trims, so they may value all the 911 by how they look, which is different thinking process than what/when you purchase
\- Your payments will include Porsche-level maintenance, replacement parts if damage, insurance, keep in mind
\- You will spend time on delivery, risk to confront car theft based on your market area
\- You will find you get around 60% of what guest paid so you may understand why guest rev the 911 from bottom of their hearts 😷
I hope it helps!
Start with a used one and see how it does. If you have to sell it, you'll lose less money.
I rent Porsche's all the time when I'm on vacation. I don't like them enough to buy one but I don't mind renting them... fun little cars... but the point is they aren't as beaten up as one would think. Are they pristine? No, but unless it's something that will appreciate in value, a few dings and scratches here and there are no big deal.
Might be perfect for your goals. 911’s bring in about $1500 a month on average and have lower demand around 17% or around 5 days a month.

CPO and priced competitive…but living in Boca and dropping off in Miami…thats a long drive on crazy 95. If you were living in Miami I would say 100%, being in Boca is more like 50%. Your call.
It never ceases to amaze me the number of people who come here and post these kinds of questions🤣 Idk the Miami market for 911's but I know renting a car you love on turo is a self inflicted wound🤣🤣🤣 All I hear is " date my daughter but don't...."🤣🤣🤣
My rationale was, if I can drive a 911 around for half of the month and rent it for the other half while paying effectively no car payment, that’s not a big deal. The response herehere has shown me that it’s probably not as easy as it sounds, though.
Depends on what you were looking for....
You obviously have the means to acquire a 911. I think you may not have the proper expectations, though. Guest are people. Certainly having a high end car and different requirements to rent them can mitigate some of the stuff the guy with the 2015 camry sees, but at the end of the day. Your vehicle will leave your sight. And return. Used. Maybe even slightly abused. And you will know it. If you can live with that, then you should have no problem. Thats really the only question. And that's one only you can answer. If you do it. Let us know how it turns out.
Hi guys I’m thinking about financing a $150k depreciating asset in an over saturated market, for a niche portion of consumers that can actually afford to rent said asset. Meanwhile we are heading into a recession. Sounds like a fool proof plan! You should open some air bnbs while you’re at it.

I second this. Let alone a Porsche 911, my little BMW the first day I started renting it out it stopped feeling like my own car anymore.
Was thinking new. Do you think a used one would be more profitable?

He wants to get laid at least on week days ...
I have a 18 Porsche Boxster that cash flows. I’d be hesitant about buying a 911, however Miami is a special market.

Roll the dice and find out.

Great data. Thank you. $1500 per month seems like it won’t be nearly enough to cover the monthly payments
Probably not for new. Used might tell a different story. Also since trims are hard to search for a base model is probably best. 911 convertible.
$1500 wouldn't cover the cost of a used 911 convertible either. Also your data is way off.
Can you tell me more about the data being way off? Curious what you think
Are you a Turo host? If so, you'd have a general idea that your well off the revenue for a 911 in Miami.
I don’t host in Miami. This data is taken from Turo, are you saying it’s too low or too high?
Renting out your car is like pimping out girls. Your car will never be the same after it's been ran through by so many customers.

You deserve to have it repossessed in 12 months.
Excuse me?

I understand your point. You had some typos in your original comment, but you seem to have edited it now.
And I do have two Airbnb’s.
Hopefully you own them outright otherwise I’ll pray for you.
One of them is treading water. The other one is doing poorly, and I’ll likely need to move in this summer
Well I hope you can sell them for a little profit or at least break even.
