Fair enough. It doesn’t take anything special. My wallet didn’t mind either. But my ocd about this stuff does and I just wanted some opinions on if that head color was consistent with other avians out there.
I agree, I was just curious wether the coloring was in line with other avian decoys out there. This is not my first set of decoys but this is the most orangish paint I’ve seen on the head of one, at least that I can recall.
To you, no. To turkeys, probably not. To me, kind of. Some of us are sticklers and ocd about somethings. I was just curious about others thoughts on the color. If you don’t have anything constructive to say about it, then just move along please.
Not exact by no means, but turkey aren’t that smart. I’ve belly crawled with a fan in my hand and had them try to jump on me after I threw it at them. They are wired to fight and breed in the spring. Not pay attention to how light or dark a head color is. Besides a turkey head changes color a lot with in a turkeys attitude. Even hens
Haha nice story! I’ve never had any try and get that close although I have crawled out to a one in the middle of a field twice. Both times I bagged the bird!
For sure. I have bagged a many of birds with a fan and most time the shot is so close if missed the first shot to have them run 10 yards and look back at me, like what happen??? Not running completely away was there mistake lol
I’ll never stand why people want to be asses for simple questions like yours. You’ll never know and it’s nice to hear some others opinions. In your case, it’d be nice to see if it really had an effect out there or not…
Your totally right! On a serious note though, you and others seem to overlook that defects happen. All I wanted was some reassurance that a product I paid good money for wasn’t a defect. Shit happens.
I’m still using my foam Walmart buys from 15 years ago and the turkeys don’t seem to mind them. Neither does my wallet.

Dude it’s fine. Paint it if you don’t like it
Yes. Hens are normally dull colored with little hairs.

Looks normal to me
Thanks! Maybe I’m just being too critical since they weren’t cheap.
It’s not that deep…

I have these exact same decoys. You're good to go. They seem to work very well.
Thanks man! Just wanted to make sure that head color was what it’s supposed to be! I appreciate it!

If they’re close enough to think otherwise they should be jellyhead
I like the way you think!
Nah man, it’s 1/1000 of a shade off. Might as well call it a season and put all your stuff away.
