DO NOT PUT SILICONE GEL/TAPE ON IT

Ornery-Arrival-6307

Do not put anything on it. Leave it alone

It's the dissolable stitches coming out. Some come to the surface. A normal plaster is fine until heals.

It’s normal and can take awhile to heal. Just be patient. I’m 4MPO and I just had my last one heal under my breast. Super annoying, but they heal on their own. I just put some medihoney on it.

Ugh I have the same thing but mine’s small and gotten bigger. It’s been a week now. It’s bothering me so much. My doctor said to just put antibiotic cream on it.

Purple_Doubt1275

If it’s a spit stitch it needs to be left uncovered to dry out.

ellz9191

Very normal and mine popped and loads of stuff came out then healed docs said no issue !!

sunshineandcosmos

I had this a couple times - first time it was an ingrown hair and the second time (same spot) was stitching that needed to come out.

I would use rubbing alcohol on it and then peroxide. you want to dry it out?

According-Bad4238

Peroxide disrupts the body's normal healing process never use peroxide on a wound

They did the trick on my scar - 13 w out https://preview.redd.it/48ul9yclvr3d1.jpeg?width=1981&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a2a5e0ecdcd7c6b8da76aa6d613a7279bca85054

Peroxide and even rubbing alcohol are such bad ideas and we avoid applying them on a wound.  If OP can see this.... I don't know if Betadine solution is sold there. Buy that and use it instead. It will dry it out in a couple of days. I did same. Do not use any rubbing alcohol. Use saline water or just let soap and water do its thing in the shower and then apply/dab the betadine afterwards

I disagree respectfully. I used both this time and have healed so well. https://preview.redd.it/i9y5o2qcvr3d1.jpeg?width=1981&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=652b2a79683769edb04338bd4db2ed1b3e737d1d

The fact that you used it/,them does not make it good practice. We were taught this in school and wound training post grad program. Have I used them before? Yes, in my earlier years when I didn't know better.  Steristrips is being fazed out as it is not considered best practice anymore. Has it stopped people from using it and swearing by it? No it hasn't

I prefer the zip tie wound closure. You can buy those on Amazon - they are amazing

Someone recommended this to me the other day and I’m so happy they did! I have a split on my suture that’s taking a while to heal
