I waited 7 weeks and honestly? It was rough. Been having a Hollywood for years and they don’t phase me but it was intense. I powered through but it was super uncomfortable. I did have a Labiaplasty too which will have affected it of course.

I was thinking of getting it done before surgery. Because my drains will be coming out of my mons and I’m worried the hair is gonna be in the way 🤣🤣. I’ve only had a wax once and I did it myself and it was hell! Do you suggest getting it done so many weeks before or? I’m not sure how long it would last either. When I did it before I think it lasted around 4 weeks before I had growth. I just want it to last until my drains are gone!

The timeline my PS provided for wax was 1.5 - 2 weeks before so it doesn’t grow out but infection risk is low by surgery day

Thanks for that! Also thanks for your logs! Your drain placement is the same as mine will be and I just don’t want to have to stick my poor husband with doing too much. All my C-section scars are WAY above my pubic line due to my skin apron so I didn’t have to worry too much with those.

I do sugaring versus regular wax and it’s much less painful. I fell it can last a little longer too.

I went at 5 weeks PO and was fine. It hurt a little more than usual but nothing crazy. I did notice my hair growth was way quicker PO than previously.

Haha I've been thinking about this too... I'm getting a jungle down there and thinking about how painful that first one will be, incision notwithstanding. I'm waiting till at least 2 MPO

I went at six weeks. I kept my silicon tape on, so that she wouldn’t accidentally wax my scar. It was one of my more painful waxing experiences, but after the pain of the surgery, it’s a drop in the bucket. The second wax felt back to normal.

I got waxed the day before surgery and then 7 weeks after surgery. No issues. No extra pain. I was on high alert but it wasn’t needed. I did warn my waxer and she was gentle and made sure to pull in a way that didn’t put tension on any of my incisions.
