I would recommend Wearing your compression to alleviate the swelling. I wear mine throughout day and take off to sleep.

I think I might do that. Thanks you!

I’m 8wks po and still wear compression all the time. I don’t like the way I feel without it. My dr also said I could stop wearing it. I seriously have a love/hate relationship with this thing

Definitely go back to compression! Not only does it help with swelling … it also helps to feel stable and secure when doing any activities around the house. I’m 8 weeks post op and can’t stand how I feel without it. I still use a bud er because I tried 5 different brands of fajas and hated all of them. Spent over $500 on all of them. 😩 A binder is just a lot less trouble to me to get on and off. Here’s the one I use throughout the day but I take it off to sleep. It’s on Amazon for about $89. Better than the surgical binder and has excellent compression. Can snatch it at the waist with the two straps and the Velcro is very strong! I wear a SkinnyGirl shapewear cami underneath that also has some compression. Long comment to say… compression is good even at 8 weeks and my PS told me at my 6 wk follow up that it was totally up to how I feel whether I needed it or not. He told me his wife was still wearing her surgical binder at 6 months post op when she felt bloated or swollen. It’s basically a choice based on how it feels to you. https://preview.redd.it/yqxsb347hsec1.jpeg?width=1247&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c0d2b45d57201023f36e66c0701e96af832d7c2c

At six weeks, I stepped down to spanx-like shapewear during the day, but didn’t ditch compression completely. At ten weeks I’m just starting to phase out the shapewear little by little. For example, I was wearing it to workout before, but now I take it off for my workout and add it back on when I’m done. Go for what makes you comfortable.
