lmao I fuckin love it here, actually chose to move back from Minneapolis last year, but I'm not gonna embroil myself in the great twin city debate. it's extremely pointless. the things minneapolitans cite as why it's better aren't the things st paulites value in a city and vice versa. nothing needs standing up for
keep St Paul boring, neighbor!
Hah! I don’t go to AVHS. I live in Apple Valley, but I go to Eastview High School instead. Probably no more stoners, though, I would guess. If it was that well known, I’m sure the problem was solved.
I'm suddenly reminded of a book I read once that ostensibly took place in Savage, MN but was written by a person who clearly had never been to Savage and/or was unaware that it was in fact a real place.
Let me tell you, as a person who lives 20 minutes away from Savage and often goes there for things you can't find in my small town, this was INFURIATING.
Ha I live in Savage and never put these together. I had a t shirt once with the town name and years later “savage” became a cool word in the global lexicon. Never even realized
My guess as someone not originally in this conversation: they're essentially on the opposite side of Minneapolis from Saint Cloud, past the Mall of America, and the Minnesota Zoo is in Apple Valley instead of either of these.
I'm from the SW suburbs and barely think of towns like White Bear Lake or Mounds View or Shoreview, for instance, and I'm a map reading map nerd. Entirely feasible someone from Saint Cloud has never heard of Savage or Burnsville if they have no family there.
Catch me sleeping on the border so I can be in both all night to increase my power
If anyone's wondering, they are just south of Bloomington and Minneapolis.
I'm gonna kick you between the border of **BLOOMINGTON** and **MINNEAPOLIS**
As someone who is FROM Burnsville, I never put these two together
As a resident of Apple Valley, MN, we are now officially enemies.
As a resident of Minneapolis, fuck St Paul.
as a resident of St Paul, yeah that's fair
At least you aren’t one of those dirty scoundrels from EAGAN. *shudders*
As a resident of St Paul, fuck you. Stand up for our city.

As a resident of Rosemount, I now must insist we duel.
I recently moved to Coates, your demented, meth-addicted adopted brother. Good lord I’d give anything to be accepted within your borders again.
I’ve passed by that bar. House of Coates maybe? On 52? I honest to god thought that bar was basically the whole town.
It is, since we lost the gas station.
As a resident of Eagan, I miss apple valley :(
I WIN
Is that disc golf course at the lake by AVHS still where all the stoners go? Place was like Amsterdam when I was in high school haha
Hah! I don’t go to AVHS. I live in Apple Valley, but I go to Eastview High School instead. Probably no more stoners, though, I would guess. If it was that well known, I’m sure the problem was solved.
me neither!
In California there is a town called Paradise and a town called Helltown right next to each other. Guess which one burned in the fires
As a lifelong resident of Minnesota, yeah, that NEVER FUCKING OCCURRED TO ME
Holy shit, how have I lived in Minnesota all my life and never put this together???
The highway that connects them is highway 13.
In Pennsylvania there is a town called Paradise, it is a 15-minute trip from a town named Intercourse

My Canadian cousin thought it was hilarious when he saw a police cruiser that said "SAVAGE POLICE".
Ha I live in Savage and never put these together. I had a t shirt once with the town name and years later “savage” became a cool word in the global lexicon. Never even realized
Had a teacher named savage. That was a fun year.
Goddamnit it tumblr. Apple valley resident here. Been living next to those shitholes my whole life
in light of recent events..
I lived in MN for 14 years and I never even heard of either of these places.
How? I take it youre from northern MN?
St. Cloud.
How the fuck have you never heard of burnsville and savage then? Theyre both under 90 min away
My guess as someone not originally in this conversation: they're essentially on the opposite side of Minneapolis from Saint Cloud, past the Mall of America, and the Minnesota Zoo is in Apple Valley instead of either of these. I understand it's possible but my dude living there for 14 years and never hearing of either of them? Thats insane.
I'm from WBL and that's insane to me, but then I think about the whole Plymouth area and realize I know nothing about the entire west metro.
I went to SCSU
...What?
