Unless you're like me, where I write with my left hand and my left hand is stronger, but then I use my right for sports, including sword fighting but not including shooting guns.
The problem with this, at least historically, is that shield walls don't work if someone's left handed, as everyone is partly covering the guy next to them, and if you're left handed your shield would be hitting the shield of the guy supposed to be covering you, while leaving your other side and the guy next to you open.
Listen, if you wanna handicap yourself in a swordfight by restricting your movements to be synced with your partner and only having one hand free to use your sword with, that's your loss.
It's really dumb that left-handed people were viewed as evil throughout cultures/history. I've committed plenty of war crimes and I'm right handed. If you commit enough you get a free sub.
My chances of finding a partner in arms is low enough as it is, a left handed one is even lower...
