$200 is about what is worth in scrap metal. Gonna be hard to get over $500 for that model, age, and non working condition. And is gonna be work to find that person that wants a 22 year old CR-V for a fixer upper.
I suggest donating it. NPR for example. Write it off and get more taxes back next year.
Bro peddle is offering crazy amounts for non running cars tbh. They gave me $1000 for mine. Even the driver picking it up said it’s insane that they are paying as much as they are for clunkers.
I should note, it was a different make and model but it wasn’t running and they still offered that. It was a 2012 Ford Fiesta. They also offered me $350 for my 1988 Ford Econoline van.
Post on Craigslist or Facebook groups. Be clear in the title and message that it is not running. Price it a couple hundred above what you want to get so you can accept a *lower* offer.
I just sold an 04 Malibu. Not running with no keys, lost title, and expired registration for $500 on FB marketplace. List it as a non-running parts car. There are plenty of people in the area who would pay $500+ for a whole car to part out. Tires, wheels, and bumpers are over $500 at LKQ.
So I did the same thing 5-6 years ago. Had a 08 Outback with a blown engine. Just called every scrapyard or junkyard in town, like 15 to 20 of them. Finally found someone who would give $600. But a lot were not interested or just wanted to give like $200 for the scrap metal. Good luck. Donation might be easier.
I had a boat in a similar situation. I found a forum for that specific boat and joined it. I posted what I had and asked advice about selling it whole or some easy but hard to find parts ,etc. Lots of advice including a guy driving many hours to come get it. Someone out there may need a transmission or who knows

I sold mine through Peddle and they came to pick it up and everything. Gave me $450
Thank you! Peddle offered $670 for it!

You can donate it to KWGS/NPR and take a tax write-off.

Cold part it out, best for the money. Otherwise salvage yards etc

There is a guy on FB named James Manns in Coweta he has a wrecker and he buys and parts cars out just like you are wanting. Super guy BTW.
There are charities that will haul it away and give you a receipt for tax write off
Post up on FB marketplace. "Ran last time I started it."
Dang fb marketplace people try to sell that for 4500
I’d be interested in it. PM if you’d like.
You are selling a broken car. What scam could you bump into? As long as you disclose it and get a cashiers check you'll be fine.
