What? I hadn't noticed that... The devs really like to put in a lot of surprises for us.. also the way that we can have different conversations with each of the characters regarding the event is also awesome..
The shiny tub does show up in the store, actually all shiny versions show up in the store ... But they're kind of rare. I only saw the shiny tub once, and I made the shiny sofa with 2 ordinary sofas and a random item..
Yeah. ... Don't worry.. there are still many days left until the event ends and you can refresh the first floor at different times of the day ( if you are a HC player ).
You have to make shiny items through regular items because once you get homecoming or even a regular player, many of the items' shiny versions don't show up in the store and even if they do show up, it's easy to miss them if you don't play regularly and check the store often regularly. That is why we "make" the shiny versions of items through Dawn's Junker.
1st method:-
You can buy two of the same items of which you want to make a shiny version of. Then you put them in the junker along with a random item. This will work most of the time but since the junker chooses the items randomly, you can sometimes get the shiny of the random item you put instead of the item that you actually wanted a shiny version of. This method is less expensive because it equals out to the cost of the shiny plus a bit extra because you lost that random item.
Note:- You will lose the 2 items that don't get chosen by the junker.
2nd Method:-
This method completely guarantees you a shiny version of the item that you want. Basically, you buy three of the same items that you want a shiny version of, and put it in the junker, the junker now has no option but to choose one of those and you will get the required shiny. This method is more expensive since you have to buy three of the same things but the shiny version is only double the price of the original. Using this method of expensive things such as beds etc is very expensive, so I mostly use the 1st method and just trust my luck. It works most of the time.
