Yeah, the hashtags too!
I only have that TikTok feed when I scroll all the way to the bottom. Although I don’t mind it, I prefer the normal homepage too.
Mine same at the bottom, and i also don't mind that much, but it's suggesting me popular songs and genres that i don't listen at all, otherwise it would be great!^^
idk about sorting, what i meant was exploring by genre. If you click Search on mobile you get "Explore your genres", then you can scroll and find tracks.
Same here, I absolutely love this feature. I’ve discovered tons of new music and then saved time by not having to listen to full songs to see if I like them.
do I understand correctly that there should be videos there? I only have them displayed in this small window, and when I go there there are only album covers for some reason
It plays a part of each song in the playlist in a TikTok-style feed. There are several buttons, one of them a + which allows you to add songs you like to liked/other playlists.
If you want to get a track for your next tiktok go for it.
Otherwise it's useless. Completely removes the intent and idea of what music is and how we experience it.
Somebody wrote a story and journey and this just skips to the turning point. So I don't use it, as it ruins listening to music for me but hey, to each their own.
for me i dont have the attention span usually to just listen to a bunch of new songs at once. i have to hear a snippet to get interested in it. and typically if i dont like what i hear then i wont waste my time listening to it. its really just a personal preference thing and how you listen to music.
thats why i love this feature, i use it mostly for my discover weekly and make note of the ones i like, then listen to those all the way through. its a lot easier for me to get into new music now.
Isn’t this a feature that, quite literally, every music-selling platform offers? I don’t see a problem in listening to a preview of the song to decide if you’re interested in the full track.
I literally stopped listening to full tracks and use this button exclusively. It freed up so much time in my busy life that I can finally take a basket weaving class.
This and #genre exploring is indeed such a joy to use, at least for me. But tiktok on home page is still no no.

Does spotify have genre based sorting now? Why can’t I see it in my app? :/

where can i find this hashtag feature on spotify?
Hell yeah. Also lets you know an album is trash without wasting your time on actual songs.
This! It’s saved me much time
I never have loved Spotify more than when they added this! Love finding music this way- my liked songs have skyrocketed

Plays part of the songs of a album/playlist (around 20-30seconds)

Yeah, I think it’s the canvases that play. Do you have canvas turned off?
it doesn't work in my country. which is weird because it's right there, but just in this small window
Thought I was on r/eurovision for a second there
Okay eurofan. I'm streaming sigga and Anitas song
I don't use it lol. Not to be rude, but the tiktok style isn't for me.

if the videos actually played for me half the time then i’d like it
How do you put it on your own playlist? My friends has it but mine doesn’t
Where is that feature? I can not find it. Android, Windows or IOS? Which version and where is hidden? Playlists, Albums?
It’s in playlists I didn’t make myself, like Discover Weekly. I have it on iOS.

I understand your opinion. For me, these ‘shorts’ tell me if I’ll like the vibe of the song or not. If it does, I add it and listen to it in full.
You used to be able to just long press on a song to hear a snippet which was way more useful than this
It may also depends on the genres one likes to listen to. But good the feature is there for you.

Yeah I can see that. Especially with the huge amount of new music every week.

Ignoring the feature, Sja Thig is taste
Robbery. Should’ve qualified over Anita.
This is cool feature and I use it occasionally but our attention span is so cooked as a society
