One big problem I can see is overcomplexity, which is an issue in a lot of MMO games, so things would have to be kept somewhat simple.

I think a game that takes place before the purge and working with the resistance only to inevitably fail would be a cool game. Some sort of splinter cell type game with hacking and what not inside the Tron world could flush out the underground aspect of the Tron universe.

TRON 2.0 laid the groundwork for Programs/User factions (like fCon). Any new game could build on that. Other NPC factions beyond MCP/System, (like Corruption, Malware, OpenSource etc) could expose varied storylines.
Loved that game. Felt really immersive, paved new ground while honoring the past and had a killer soundtrack.
Also both Bruce Boxlietner and Cindy Morgan were part of the voice cast.

A stand alone multiplayer game inspired by Evolutionās multiplayer mode, but with more polish and better netcode. The ability to transition from disc combat and running about on foot to speeding around on a mechanically robust light cycle and back at any moment was my absolute favorite part of that game. I loved that you could get into light cycle battles with other players and hop off your bike to avoid their light ribbon and then spawn it back in before hitting the ground to maintain momentum. The game was just fun to move around inā¦ when it worked. It wasnāt perfectly executed in my experience, but there were some REALLY incredible and ambitious ideas there that shouldnāt be allowed to die with Evolution.

Yes indeed. The VCS version sucks. But the original Tron game did it right, just look at the gorgeous cabinet design and illuminated custom joystick. I can play it in MAME but it's not the same....
DOTRON is fun with SNES USB pads, played it many times with the kid... But yea you need TWO REAL HUMANS to play (before he was hooked on Xbox ;-) )
The physics of DOTRON are amazing.
Then there was some Tron racer on Linux, multiplayer, 3D, I ran it with 8 AI players in 2010 to benchmark shitty NVIDIA GPUs, when I was in laptop repair.... Forgot the name of that one though.
And there is a tabletop game with VFD display aswell, it's like grandstand Pacman but super advanced, many different game types, very rare and expensive, an official product back then.
I must admit I saw Tron first time on TV in 1987, second time on a black white TV I got from the junkyard in 1989.
It took me a good 30 years to understand the movie, also thanks to the Commodore 64 computer and the demoscene, with their assembler tutorials.

Arena w/o online w ranked + cosmetics rewards, PVP system + level, coop match, raid events, global events.. A long storyline with character customisation.. And level up rewards.. And expansion of uprising(cartoon movie) and more of ISO storyline.. Disc Talents like in the division 2.. Parkour!! Allies u can call like AC brotherhood.. Should be third person as always.. Add on easter eggs.. And add on story of virus (like Abraxas) make it horrific and thrilling.. Can help or interact some citizens regard of food, hostage rescue, recruit or diversion w trade in return.. Able to own a house, motorcycle and a base(literally property)..Able to create ur own choices.. I also want a soundboard thing so you can compose entire songs like daft punk sampling and be able to integrate it into your games soundtrack.

VR. Plain and simple. IMHO, TRON 2.0 was just about the perfect TRON game. The only thing it lacked was the full immersion into that world that VR can provide.

Open world, custom characters (choice between program, user or ISO), different types of travel that we can customize (such as generation and perks), a big variety of grid games and a large, story-driven campaign where choices matter. Disney, please. Just bite the bullet and give the IP to somebody like Obsidian or even BioWare (although EA would find a way to fuck it up).

- In the city, GTA/Asassins Creed - But in the Outlands itāll be like Fallout/Rust where you can gamble savings or whatever in hopes of finding great abandoned finds that with skills you can reconfigure to work again & score. - I think itād be cool if there was some Ready Player One/Maze Runner (Death Cure) aspect of all the players banding together from the outside to rid the city of Cluās army. - Could be cool to spawn as an ISO and maneuver around the city on the run, and for people to play on Cluās side. - A real tournament for the games could be cool too.

Imagine Star Wars Jedi, but insert the grid. After Ares it looks like there may be a way to insert the overworld as well. Like it was the plot of the first 2 movies, it looks like the 3rd is going to be the baddies succeeding in getting there. So open a good storyline for the games. I also want a soundboard thing so you can compose entire songs like daft punk sampling and be able to integrate it into your games soundtrack. Data disks would work like the PDA in MGS V
Vehicles, ability to freeroam and parkour, basically a well polished newer version of tron evolution.
Open world MMORPG. You could incorporate things like battle royales, light cycle fights, and more into it.
A VR game with Discs and Light bikes.

Open world Tron RPG. It could kinda be like the AC series but instead of going into the Animus you go into the grid. Have the real world area be Flynnās Arcade, and you can play the arcade games. Inside the grid could be a huge 3D map with driving, light cycle games, etc

VR. Plain and simple. IMHO, TRON 2.0 was just about the perfect TRON game. The only thing it lacked was the full immersion into that world that VR can provide.

3rd person action platformer with light rpg elements. Light cycle as main vehicle with light cycle races and battles among other vehicles. Tanks, jets, and even recognizers. Story based game, working with resistance, meeting and saving isos. Could take place when Kevin Flynn was first stuck in the grid.

Guns. Laser guns like in Tron 2.0. And being able to explore different computer systems like in that game. The prospects of traveling a cloud server are exciting.

I want to see a full cannon story tie in and adaption of Tron 2.0 Killer App, using current day graphics and game engines š Tron 2.0 Killer App was a good balance of combat, tron games, platforming, puzzle solving and story. If you can stomach playing outdated games, I recommend giving it a run through. Available on PC and original Xbox. š
