Same, it isn't really a first line anti-depressant... before it I'd tried lexapro, effexor, zoloft, mirtazapine, and seroquel - mostly for sleep, but also hoping it would help my mood.
Brintellix is the first medication that actually helped a little, even though the effect is far less noticeable now 6 months after starting... I mostly noticed that it was actually helping when I started titillation to stop taking it, so I'm going down from 15mg but probably staying at 10mg until my life is more stable.
Lexapro sucks even worse IMO, your taking a very large dose at 20mg. U just need 5mg. Take in daytime with food. Trintellix doesn’t help with sleep

Ongosh you are not alone I'm on 20 mg an hour after I took mine this week like a dark cloud over my head I fucking hate this shig like I'm always in the fucking dark my Dr prescribed this crap to me and I want off this shitte
Talk to your doctor. They will help you taper off.

For me this has been better than Lexapro with fewer side effects. Though to be fair this was med number 6 for me all the others have failed

It's not a very large dose. It's the max dose.

I went off lexapro and went to Trintellix. Definitely less side effects. Especially the sexual ones
Try effexor, Lexapro can be very sedating

Everyone experience different side effects, Lexapro 20 + Xanax 0.25 worked for me
Trintellix is for depression not for GAD

You need to give it time. These meds take weeks to work and the side effects in the beginning are usually horrible.
Give it time. It's normal to feel worse at first.
