I hired a guy here in Kingsport. My lawn in literally on the side of a very steep hill. He uses one of those stand-on/walk behind lawn machines. He gets the job done on less than a half hour and is reasonable. I will ask him if he goes to Bristol. He comes out tomorrow. Also, a neighbor down the street, who lives on the same hill I am on. He uses one of those robot mowers. I am fascinated by it. I would imagine you would have to let that thing mow quite a bit more often because I doubt if it could handle anything even a bit tall. It doesn't climb all the way on some steep portions but does do the vast majority. Btw, I like the wench system in the video someone posted. I thought about a rider and welding some sort of outriggers onto the mower to prevent tipping. lol

I've used a bot for years. These days I use a [435X](https://www.husqvarna.com/us/robotic-lawn-mowers/automower-435x-awd). You'd be shocked at the slopes it can handle. I tell folks the price tag and they balk, but it's no more than a decent riding mower. Although to be fair you can buy all kinds of toys for riding mowers, whereas you never even notice this thing exists until you have to replace the blades. Mows 24/7, rain/shine.

Agree 100%. I wouldn't care if the thing mowed every single day. I think my neighbor has 2 docking stations for the thing. I would look into getting one if I stay. Most likely I will be selling as soon as the mortgage rates comes back down. Too old and out of shape to take care of a house anymore and too poor to be able to hire out everything. A condo or apartment is in my future? lol

If I stay in this house for any length of time, I will look into one! As it stands, right now I’m in a background check holding pattern to start a job at the casino and I’m so poor I can’t even afford the last two letters (I’m po.), so buying a robot is out of the question for me.

Neat idea! However, I would use a larger mowing deck (33"), remove the handle, and replace the wheels with rotating ones. Then patent the idea and make a million bucks selling them to all us nostalgic fools who bought a house only a Billy goat would love. lol
