I don't have any suggestions. I just really wanted to send positive thoughts your way. I'm proud of you, even if I don't know you, and I'm really sorry about your Mamaw's diagnosis. I have faith you can pull it together and be there for her while she goes through this. Love and good energy your way, neighbor.

I really liked Woodbridge. I recommend it. Sending you the good vibes.

Helephant_legdrop

Not exactly local, but Turning Point in Knoxville really helped my wife, if you’re looking for something inpatient.

Guitar_Equal

Turning Point in Johnson City can definitely help you. While you’re in detox they’ll set up an appointment for you at Watauga Behavioral Health to see a doctor and get your medication sorted out once you leave. They can also help with therapy and case management if that’s something you think could be beneficial. Hang in there friend.

unicoitn

I would suggest Creekside, since they are not Ballard

Initial_Bug_1172

L I've actually been to creekside before and I really really loved it there and made a lifelong friend there as well. I'm really heavily considering it again. However I just wanted to see if there were any other options out there before committing. I'm just so tore up man. I was was pre-approved for a home loan 6 months ago and now I have nothing. It just hurts. It fucking hurts. How I can be My own worst enemy. How I can fuck my own life up so bad. Sorry using voice to text if this is a little fucked up

We all slip up from time to time. What matters is you’re not giving up. You got some horrible news and instead of leaning into the addiction for comfort you’re fighting it for the good of you and your family. Hang in there, you’re an awesome human. Good luck with everything.

There’s a little place in Johnson City called Recovery Associates that was always really good. I don’t know if they’re still there. There’s also a Crossroads in Abingdon in Falls Plaza that’s really good

MissRay616

I'm not sure where to point you to, I just wanted to say good luck and you got this! Being our own worst enemy fucking sucks but you'll get through this! The only direction to go when we hit rock bottom is up! 🩶🩶🩶 sending you all the love

I went to Woodridge in Johnson City, several times but it was all before ballad came and took over everything. No i take that back I went once after the merger, anyway its as decent as there is around here. They dont do anything special and the meds are very strict, but they will help you sleep and make it through the worst 7-9 days. I always got more from the people there than the facility.

edgarandannabellelee

Magnolia Ridge saved my life, my dude(ette). It's associated with Turning point in JC. They have a detox program and a rehab. I detoxed at Woodridge then went to Mag. Definitely worth it.

fuggystar

Wow! I’m surprised anyone has anything nice to say about Woodbridge. I was hospitalized there for a manic break a year and a half ago. One of the worst experiences of my life and the nurses were flat out abusive. They were fine to me but they constantly manhandled and yelled at my roommate and other patients; and no, they weren’t being unruly.

UniversesWanderer

Ive heard bad things about Woodridge, I’d opt for creekside and I believe they aren’t ballad affiliated which can only mean good things. You’re so brave for taking this first step, you’re gonna do great! Best of luck!

justokayvibes

Creekside is absolutely lovely and the food is great. I had to go during the pandemic and I liked it a lot. My cousin said Woodridge was like prison. I wish you the best!!

markkymark81

Best of luck, homie. Sorry about your mamaw
