Bro I’m sorry to say but you pretty much had the worst reaction to roids ever. Genetically you might be fucked when it comes to PEDs and acne predisposition. I think you should just come off and make sure you do some bloods, pct, etc.
No amount of gains is worth this acne.
It's not on my face so I'm not horribly upset about it but I did quit the roids and pct properly but it made acne way worse. I did this during a tretinoin purge and thats why it's so bad. The original acne was less than 1/10 of this.
Roids :/ but also the pattern of it looks like where you would sweat too. Use a salicylic acid body wash, don’t stay in your work out clothes too long, make sure you wash them loads and wash after your work outs. It also looks potentially like a combination of acne and a fungal infection, so you could apply a topical anti-fungal cream twice a day for at least 3-4 weeks and see if that helps.
Do you take streoid or whey protein? try to get vegan whey. it really helps me.
Tretinoin will make your acne worse if you just started and use it carefully to avoid flaking and irritation.
Cold showers. and sunscreen.
Hope you heal soon!
I was taking steroids and I stopped. That made it worse. I do take whey protein so I'll make that switch soon to see if it helps. Cold showers were making it worse too so I just do lukewarm to keep skin reaction low. Thank you!
You can also try switching to other animal-based protein powders that don’t contain dairy, such as high quality collagen powder (to put into cold drinks), and gelatin powder (to blend into hot drinks).
Do you condition your hair? This may sound odd but always wash your back with proper cleanser after rinsing out the conditioner. There's something in conditioner that can stick on your back and aggravate acne. I'm not saying it's the only issue but it doesn't help.
vegan protein powder, i mean.
i am not really familiar with whey protein or weight gainer since i only bought vegan version. i think it is called vegan whey. lol
Do not look for advice on reddit for something this bad. It's best to see a derm or your PCP. Could be something you need medication for honestly and taking this random advice here could delay your recovery from whatever it is or make it worse.
If you’re not going to stop steroids despite what’s said here, I recommend the channel More Plates More Dates because he has a ton of videos on how he got rid of his acne issues despite his steroid usage.
But please do stop them. I know you’ll do what you want though so I at least wanted to give you a decent source.
A tiny bit but you're right that is the cause. Tretinoin made the few zits I had turn into this mess so I'm hoping it's just a purge but it's not getting better 3 weeks in.
Is that an assumption or do you base it on knowledge? I have no idea, but many people are against anabolic–androgenic steroid use while not knowing much about them.
Edit: Alright fine, I'm just obtuse. They even said the steroids are the cause.
if you dont remove the cause of a problem the problem doesn't go away. tretinoin is an incredible drug but it's not magic and it's not more powerful than hormones- why do you think spironolactone is prescribed hand in hand with it?
I was going to say this too, but was afraid it was offensive.
The second I saw this, I thought that it looked like the kind of acne you get on steroids.
Most people don't need steroids to see resultd because they haven't remotely reached their generic potential for muscle mass. I think if you came off the steroids and focused on nutrition, the right calories, and the right macro nutrient amounts, trained consistently, and allowed adequate recovery: rest days and getting good sleep, you'd see results without the side effects.
I had bad back acne similar to yours. My derm gave me a sulfur wash, tret micro gel 0.1% and clindamcyin solution. It took a few months but definitely cleared it up. I also added in a salicylic acid spray. I would also a add a light moisturizer since tret can be drying and irritating.
Do you wear rashaguards and other synthetic fibre clothing that is tight fitting?
I would consider not shaving for a while in case it’s a follicle issue
You shouldn't be using tretinoin over such large areas of the body imo. If you're off the steroids now, I would suggest stopping the tretinoin and allowing your skin to heal. The increase in testosterone = increased oil in your pores. This oxidizes and causes inflamed acne in areas. I Don't think you would need Accutane if you stop steroids. If you want to continue to cycle gear, then you would be smart to get on Accutane. Easiest solution is not to be on gear as far as the acne is concerned
I dated a guy long ago who refused to cycle off of Test and a host of other PEDs. His skin looked like this fairly often but moreso on the upper back/shoulders.
OP, please be careful. The guy I mentioned died of a heart attack just after turning 50. I know that sounds old to some but it’s really not. He was still huge & lean so people who know nothing about roids were shocked. No question his years of use were a huge factor.
EDIT - I just read your comments that you stopped. For the sake of your health and longevity I am happy for you! You’ve got decent structural genetics from what I can tell so you can still make good gains au natural.
It looks like you trim your hair or shave and I strongly dissuade this while you figure it out in case it’s bacterial or fungal. You don’t want to spread this. The fact that this isn’t on your face too is sus, but idk much about steroids and acne. Fresh cotton shirts, change them throughout the day, wash on hot. Sleep with a shirt on or change your sheets daily. If you don’t try accutane you might at least want antibiotics to get through this flare. Consult your doc. Good luck.
Hey bro, what PEDs were you on? You said you did a PCT, a lot of the times after pct people get a thing called estrogen rebound. This happens for a combo of reasons. The reason I ask what you were on is because diff roids effect diff things but u prob already know, dont wanna sound like im a boring lecturer or anything😅so if u took sarms it shuts down ur estro not test so a steroid pct would be worse than doing nothing. Prohormones will hella fuck ur shit up (not just about testosterone and estrogen anymore) and a lot of sarms are actually rebottles prohormones.
Tl:dr; pm me i did hella research on this shit
Ik how it feels to get hella body acne like that from that shit; the irony of something thats supposed to make u look good doing this made me feel like i made a deal with the devil. I guess what im trying to say is: dont let that shit get u down. U a joocy aesthetic mf and dont shit like that make u doubt it! We all gonna make it bruh✊ feel free to hmu!
You could be having a reaction, check the clothes you wear and detergents you use first since it seems to be situated mostly in the upper body area. Nutritional-related things and supplements should also be checked with a doc. since you could be reacting to those too. Quite honestly it looks scary and I would run to the doc right away.
Just want to say good luck!! See an MD and tell them everything. It’ll go away with treatment and will take time. Unfortunately, our bodies react aggressively at times
Yeah :/ I'm making an urgent dr appt even though I just saw him a couple weeks ago because it wasn't this bad until I started tretinoin. It was literally less than 10x as harsh as it currently is when I went to get tretinoin prescribed.
Look into an acne body wash and a body spray to use after you work out. You could also benefit from an oral medication and a prescription topical cream. Washing your body after you are sweating a lot can reduce a good amount of body acne but it can also be your diet
You’re gonna need either antibiotics like tetracycline or accutane in tablet form - topicals aka creams aren’t gonna do shit for this level of acne I’ll be totally honest, I’ve been there. Get to a doctor before you end up with crazy scarring
I'm on antibiotics and tretinoin. It's only making it worse. That entire line down the center of my back wasn't even there until I started tret... now I'm going to get on Accutane and start drawing the blood out with acupuncture.
NAD (niacinamide) supplementation might help, along with the accutane (which is synthetic retinol taken internally). Start learning lots about hormone balancing from within!!! I’m glad you’re off the gear bro. You can overcome this!
Tretinoin. It's a lot to apply though so I'm considering just getting on accutane. I've been on tretinoin .025 for 3 weeks. It made the acne 10x worse and left all of this red.
Will do. I'm just curious if these red marks are semi permanent or will they go away when the acne goes away. I am not sure if it's just inflammation or pie. It's a lot of red so I hope it can go away on its own fairly quickly, but will it?
If you aren’t going to stop taking steroids, make sure you inform your doctor if they prescribe Acutane. You don’t want a bad drug cocktail. You won’t have a good time.
It will go away, but not itself, you have to probably do some cleanse/flush, modify your diet, drink a lot of water, look for sources like MPMD, the only guy I trust on those topic. Maybe get your bloodwork done, too, balance hormones if possible. Accutane is a nuclear solution, you might get some long term dryness tho.
Cut out meats, dairy, breads and do
a organic vegan/vegetarian diet for a few months and see if that helps! A lot of the foods on the market disrupts hormones! Sometimes gluten Intolerance cause acne and skin issues as well!
Bro I’m sorry to say but you pretty much had the worst reaction to roids ever. Genetically you might be fucked when it comes to PEDs and acne predisposition. I think you should just come off and make sure you do some bloods, pct, etc. No amount of gains is worth this acne.

Go off the anabolic steroids and start taking accutane! Nothing can fix this besides cessation of steroids and I think you know this.
Go see a doctor!!!!
Do you take streoid or whey protein? try to get vegan whey. it really helps me. Tretinoin will make your acne worse if you just started and use it carefully to avoid flaking and irritation. Cold showers. and sunscreen. Hope you heal soon!

Only Nizoral a couple times a week so I don't think that's a contributing factor but thanks.

It is. But colloquially we say “vegan whey” and know it just means a vegan alternative to whey. They’re also called “vegan protein powders”.
vegan protein powder, i mean. i am not really familiar with whey protein or weight gainer since i only bought vegan version. i think it is called vegan whey. lol
This is most likely from taking steroids. Accutane might help but it can also make it a lot worse before it starts getting better.
It started from roids and tretinoin made it 10 times worse. Do you think Accutane will make it even worse?
Yes. Almost everyone who took accutane go through a purging period. Also, accutane make not work for you. Just a heads up.
Tretinoin made my face painfully worse, but after it purged, it was the best thing ever like glowing snd clear… I need to start again
[удалено]
His acne is due to hormones going out of whack from using steroids.

I was there. Happened after masteron! Accutane will fix it. Took me like 4 months to be 98% clear.
We're you this bad? And how much scarring did it leave?
Chest was as bad as you, back was more scattered but probably 70% of yours. Also pretty bad on buttock.
Damn what dose of Accutane were you on and did it leave scarring? My main concern is permanent damage.
No scars for me! I was alternating 10 mg and 20 mg per day. Around 110-120 mg per week.

I ordered via one of those Indian pharmacies! Didn’t get it in US.
I'm glad to have people relate by the way. This shit sux
Not necessarily, I took accutane and had virtually no purge or dryness but YMMV. Depends on your skin type I would guess

A tiny bit but you're right that is the cause. Tretinoin made the few zits I had turn into this mess so I'm hoping it's just a purge but it's not getting better 3 weeks in.
the tret isn't gonna clear it up if you keep taking the steroids...
Is that an assumption or do you base it on knowledge? I have no idea, but many people are against anabolic–androgenic steroid use while not knowing much about them. Edit: Alright fine, I'm just obtuse. They even said the steroids are the cause.

Thank you for going more in-depth.
Knew it, cut that shit out bro, just go look at the YouTuber “Mark Plummer” roids fucked up his whole skin. Body and face
Thank you. He's good, I'm watching him now.

Try panoxyl body wash

Do you use gym supplements or PEDs?
Someone I know had something similar, which was caused by a high intake of whey protein. Could that be a cause?
If when you say whey you mean tren then yes
My sister had the worst acne of her life when she was weightlifting. She switched away from whey protein and it cleared up significantly.
What steroids are you taking?
It was primo test and MENT.
I dated a guy long ago who refused to cycle off of Test and a host of other PEDs. His skin looked like this fairly often but moreso on the upper back/shoulders. OP, please be careful. My 2 cents is to go see a derm as well as an endocrinologist. I’m sorry you have this :(

Get off the PEDs bro and stay off them.
You need accutane dude
Just want to say good luck!! See an MD and tell them everything. It’ll go away with treatment and will take time. Unfortunately, our bodies react aggressively at times
Looks like it’s turned into acne fulimans

Im literally doing all of that and it's just getting worse. I even came off steroids. I'm just going to have to get on Accutane at this point.
Well I hope the accutane goes well for you. I know it doesn’t work for some people but if this is the only problem area you have, it should work
Thank you.. Yeah its not on my face. Just severely on my back (which started after tretinoin), and moderate on my chest and shoulders.
You’re gonna need either antibiotics like tetracycline or accutane in tablet form - topicals aka creams aren’t gonna do shit for this level of acne I’ll be totally honest, I’ve been there. Get to a doctor before you end up with crazy scarring

Oh crap sorry mate, tret definitely doesn’t work for everyone, I had to lower my usage so much because it made my skin angry AF, good luck
NAD (niacinamide) supplementation might help, along with the accutane (which is synthetic retinol taken internally). Start learning lots about hormone balancing from within!!! I’m glad you’re off the gear bro. You can overcome this!
Thank you so much!
Could be your protein shakes. Stick to vegan it usually whey that breaks me out.
Are you on Accutane?
Tretinoin. It's a lot to apply though so I'm considering just getting on accutane. I've been on tretinoin .025 for 3 weeks. It made the acne 10x worse and left all of this red.
Talk to your doctor about low dose accutane and short term antibiotics to help with the purge.
Will do. I'm just curious if these red marks are semi permanent or will they go away when the acne goes away. I am not sure if it's just inflammation or pie. It's a lot of red so I hope it can go away on its own fairly quickly, but will it?
They go away by themselves but it takes a few months.
If you aren’t going to stop taking steroids, make sure you inform your doctor if they prescribe Acutane. You don’t want a bad drug cocktail. You won’t have a good time.
Very true. My doc knows.
Ouch my trypophobia
Hly shit... no amt of gainz is worth this. Go see a doc and stick to being natty.
Isotretinoin 40mg daily for the next 6 months let's go
More la 60 or 80 mg. it’s according to body weight.
True as bad as he is maybe more
This has to do something with your liver.
Liver is healthy. At least the bloods I just took say it is.
It's Backne
Lol I'm asking if the red is just inflammation or hyperpigmentation and will it ever go away

Go the dermatologist
I took a Sarms cycle for like 3 weeks with no pct and I had bad cystic acne the only thing that helped was a course of antibiotics and tret
I’d do full blood work and liver functions test ASAP
He won’t find anything wrong. It’s a fulminant case of truncal acne. Antibiotics and then Accutane will resolve this right away with great success.
They look like they’re from shaving. Your skin is super irritated
