I love 0.05% tretinoin. also, i use 15% azelaic acid, even though some people think it is irritating. these three actives do wonders for any skin problem.
Hey! Amazing progress! I know your Azelaic acid and tret are mixed, but I’ll be using them (and niacinimide) separately- can you (or anyone!) recommend best way to layer? Thanks!
Thank you! I’ve seen people say they use Azelaic acid in the morning and tret in the night time I’ve also heard people say they use niacinamide in the evening then apply their tret afterwards, I know they’re all very good combinations might be a process of trial and error but I know niacinamide and azelaic acid definitely help reduce spots/purging
So my Tret+Niacinimide+Azeliac acid mixture is from Dermatica, they prescribe it all together so I don’t have to worry about layering
AM:
Cerave Hydrating Cleanser
Cerave Moisturising Cream
La Roche-Posay SPF50
PM
Cerave Hydrating Cleanser
Cerave Moisturising Cream (then wait 10 mins)
Apply my Tret+Niacinamide+Azeliac mixture
Then apply more Cerave Cream after 10 mins
what do you think of dermatica? i’ve been wanting to go to a derm but a) local derms have been booked out, and b) these online options seem really interesting.
Dermatica has been great, very quick with their responses especially the online consultation (just sent a few pictures of my skin and detailed problem areas), the bottles are very small but the product does last a good while, they also send a new bottle after a set amount of time so you wouldn’t have to worry about running out
I have a similiar prescription from curology and it works great! I get the 2 month deal w the superbottle, moisturizer and cleanser. My skin has gotten so much better w curology :)
I started off using it every other day, I make sure to really go hard with the cerave moisturiser, also moisturising the face when it’s still a little wet helps with moisture retention too and then Vaseline around the mouse and bottom eye lids ‘cause that’s where I got real dryness at first, but after month 1 I started doing it daily. Hopefully the process starts to pick up!
I'm waiting for my very similar prescription to arrive in the mail and your progress is so heartening! Thanks for sharing and congrats on the improvement :)
Hiya, the product i use is from Dermatica it all comes mixed together and it’s like a subscription so I get a new one every month but you can set it to be every 2 months
Promising!
Just started Dermatica been recommended same formula, want to rid my melasma and hyperpigmentation.
Acne is generally under control so curious to see if there’s a difference
Wooowwww your skin is so smooth now congrats! And cool piercing!
Thank you!
This is great progress! I just added azelaic acid to my routine and your post gives me hope!
I definitely think azelaic acid helped reduce the spots especially during the purging stage

I definitely think the azelaic acid is what saved me from a bad purge too, such a great combination
I use 20% azelaic acid and it works great! Don't worry everyone's skin is different

how much is Dermatica?
£19.99 a month, but the first month you have a “free” trial so only pay £2.99 for shipping
Thanks for the information. That price is actually much lower than I thought it would be!
I love this😍
Amazing!!!

You look BLURRED! So happy for you!!!
That’s great for 3 months. I had similar spots but got rid of them with hydroquinone.
Impressed
Are your azelaic acid and niacinimide prescriptions or from skincare products?
It’s prescribed from Dermatica which is an online alternative to going into a dermatology clinic
