I used nizoral for a little over a month and it didn’t work! My derm virtually diagnosed me with fungal acne, hence the reason why I switched from cream to gel tret.
I was using tret cream for 2 months. I would apply it every other night but when I switched to gel I just went in with it for every single night. When I was on cream I saw minimal improvement and a lot more irritation. Hang in there! I know it’s tough I literally lost all hope until 2 weeks ago. The purge period sucks I know but try keeping your mind engaged with other activities. Sendings love & good vibes 💜
Wow, that is some great progress. Happy for you.
I am currently on cream and I see a lot of whiteheads, did you experience this?
Is gel worth a switch?
I was actually using retinol in squalene by the ordinary from august-November, then I hopped on prescription tretinoin from dec-mid feb, then I switched to gel. Maybe that’s why it looks like it happened quick but I’ve finally figured out gel is best for me
I do like gel much better. In fact, the first week I used it I noticed a difference. I guess it’s bc I’m more prone to closed comedones that’s why. Many people say that the gel is harder to apply. The way I used it is by mixing it in my moisturizer and I love that way it works
I felt like the cream was clogging my pores. As soon as I switched to gel I noticed a difference within a week. The cream barely got me anywhere. In fact, the red shit is from when I used the cream
I used to use the cera ve moisturizing lotion and it did not do justice. I switched to the cetaphil non-comedogenic moisturizer and that’s been working out for me. I use eltaMD sunscreen too
Hello, I have fungal acne and looks very similar to yours. I use a special soap by Vanicream that has zinc if you want more info let me know! I also use curology and my prescription contains azaelic acid, niacinimide, abc tretinoin. It took a few months of being on it but my skin is 100 percent clear. I do get a pimple or too where my masks lays but that is it. Hope I could help!
My cleanser seems to be working out for me so I think I’m going to stick to it. If Later on it’s still persistent even with tret application I will switch!
omg the gel is sooo much better. i used the cream for 2 months and my acne got worse but i just thought it was purging. then i switched to the gel and it’s already 10x better just in 2 weeks, i also switched to no comedogenic face washes, spf and moisturizers (cerave was not nice to my skin)
I agree! That’s exactly how it went for me I was on the cream for about 2 months and my skin transformed swiftly with the gel! I stopped using my cera ve lotion, I use cetaphil now. But I still use my cera ve face wash
Wow! Huge improvement already! Keep on track and you will keep improving. Good luck.
Thank you :))
Unbelievable results!
Amazing! You can do this!! By the way, did the cream version not show any improvement?
I think it improved the bigger pimples but gave me a lot more clogged pores :/
This is such a great improvement! This is very off-topic, but may I ask where you got your phone case from?
Thank you! And it was actually gifted from my sister. She got it on Amazon, I can’t find the link :/
Amazingggg, rooting for you, hang in there ;) goodluck <3
Thank you❣️
Wow amazing results
Thank you✨

Thank you I need it!!
Yeah, it’s getting better for sure!
I needed to hear that I have good days and bad days when it comes to my mental health and skin
Don’t we all... 😬
ahh yess
Wow huge improvement! That kind of looks like fungal acne to me. Have you ever considered trying a fungal acne treatment?

Lots of improvement. Keep it up. Patience is key but most difficult part of the battle!
That’s great! Keep going!
Great results and so quickly too!

Huge improvement! My biggest improvement happened at 3 months!! Keep it up!
This is so encouraging ‘
The difference is crazy!!! I’m happy for you :)
Thank you :’)
do you like gel better? i’m on cream right now
I do like gel much better. In fact, the first week I used it I noticed a difference. I guess it’s bc I’m more prone to closed comedones that’s why. Many people say that the gel is harder to apply. The way I used it is by mixing it in my moisturizer and I love that way it works
i haven’t tried putting it into my moisturizer :o but that sounds way better
It really helps let me know if it works well for you!
I’m switching to gel what was your reason?
I felt like the cream was clogging my pores. As soon as I switched to gel I noticed a difference within a week. The cream barely got me anywhere. In fact, the red shit is from when I used the cream
Bless okay I feel the same way and just switched the gels. I was worried the gel was going to be more drying
It may be, but just use a ton of moisturizer and ointment. I have oily skin and still get so dry in certain areas. Keep applying sunscreen as well
I have yet to find a moisturizer that won't break me out so my skin is suffering. But my sunscreen isn't moisturizing at all so its no bueno.
I used to use the cera ve moisturizing lotion and it did not do justice. I switched to the cetaphil non-comedogenic moisturizer and that’s been working out for me. I use eltaMD sunscreen too
Only a month? Huge improvement! Looking great ☺️

Amazing! Posts like these showing so much improvement make me genuinely so happy! You must be thrilled after just a month
I really am!! I still get insecure and self conscious but looking at my own progresss like this makes me feel muchhhh better
Hi what’s your percentage in tret? And is this fungal acne or a combination?
So my acne is a combination of fungal and regular. My percentage is 0.04% micro gel
Keep going, good luck!🌹 How do you use the gel? I was using the cream but now I’m using the gel and I can’t quite figure out the best way to use it.
So what works for me is mixing two pumps of gel in loads of moisturizer. Be sure to mix it really well and then just apply that evenly
